Every time I've been in here the service is prompt and the food is fresh and tasty. The owner is there every time, works hard and it shows. I normally wouldn't write about a chain restaurant but this one really has a neighborhood feel since it's not run by indifferent kids hired by some faraway owner.
Review Source:This is one of the only chain restaurants in my neighborhood, and while there are tons of other interesting options to explore, sometimes a cheap sandwich cannot be beat. Â
This place is clean. Â The staff is friendly. Â As a vegetarian, I really appreciate that the staff will change gloves after handling meat and will skip using the same knife to cut my sandwich that cut the meat heavy sandwich before mine. Â (Many a potbelly's staff has not been so friendly or respectful.)
Before I was on my mission, I was thrilled to see a Subway open in my neighborhood. This hood is seriously lacking in restaurants. There's a McDonald's and the ghetto Dominick's. Subway took a chance on this neighborhood, and for that, I thank them. It's the usual Subway with the usual sandwiches. The food is always fresh and good for what it is. It's a chain, you know? The best part about this Subway is that it's brand new. No funky smells. No weird yellow booths. No gross bathrooms. For what it is, it's nice. And....there's FREE wifi so you can Yelp while watching the crackheads outside. I don't go here anymore, because I am off the bread. I do anticipate a nervous breakdown in my near future where I will rob that store of all the fresh loaves of Italian herb. Look for me in the news.
