Open 24 hours! Â This fact has saved me on several occasions. Â Why, yes I am completely drunk and would LOVE a nice big sandwich. Â Thank you.
The employees are relatively nice and efficient, even at 3 am. Â Especially when my friend is ordering her sandwich to the tune of "Videophone".
Decent amount of seating and there's a small parking lot for your automobile needs. Â Otherwise, it's just another Subway. Â That's open 24 hours!!!!
I used to work at Subway in high school. Â I can still smell the stench of the baking bread that used to hang on my work clothes. Â Surprisingly enough, I still like eating Subway from time to time. Â And I can follow you down the line and critique their every cut, count, and vegetable placement. Â At the same time, I'm always extra nice to fast food restaurant workers because I know how much those jobs suck, even at a place like Subway where there is no grease/frying involved. Â
So be nice!
This location is one of the better Chicago Subways I've been, too. Â I a while back I actually submitted a compliment on the subway website for one employee in particular who was consistently really good--great sandwich skills, patient yet speedy, and all around seemed like he liked his job.
Well as much as I'm not wild about Subway(see my review of their Sauganash location), sometimes this one has come in handy w/its new 24/7 hour operation, when I want an alternative to El Norte. And I still am too weirded out from the old Granville AJ's Grill(or whatever it's being renamed to) to want to step foot in the AJ's just a few storefronts away.
If you served pizza(like Irving/Ashland or Addison/Kennedy Expwy locations do), I'd go up another star. Staff isn't bad at this location, either, so 2.5 stars. It's funny I still crave their pizza, all the years after going to the Subways at Illinois State University!
