  I agree with the other reviewers, this place is very "urban" and unfortunately does seem rather "unapproachable" because of its location (literally, under the Argyle station), but their fun noodles/fun rolls/rice noodle rolls are TOPS!  They're the perfect consistency.  
  
  I live close by so I regularly pick up shrimp rolls and veggie steamed buns.  It always seems to be the same woman behind the counter who, when not ringing people up, is transferring noodles from huge sheet trays into the shrink-wrapped styrofoam containers we take home.  So there seems to be high turnover rate on fun rolls -- which is always a good thing.  Chiu Quon bakery, a couple doors down, uses better shrimp, but Sun Sun's noodles are the best.  I haven't tried any other fillings (as don't eat pork or chicken) but I'm sure they're just as good.  I have a friend who grew up in Chinatown (where fun rolls are surely abundant), but she recommended Sun Sun to me a long time ago when she learned of my obsession with the sweet-soy-sauce-soaked, gooey rice noodles.  As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to go get some right now.

  Most people might just walk by this place..because even when its open it looks kinda dim and unapproachable with the  metal gate pulled across the storefront. However, this is where we get the best "fun" or thick noodle sheets to make various stir fried noodle dishes. They make it fresh here and its really good. They also sell other chinese snacks like cookies and buns and the like.

  This place is located under the "L" tracks on Argyle, so the setting is very urban to say the least. A selection of Chinese treats are sold here, so pop in and see if anything looks good to you. If you do not have a curious appetite, you will not be too impressed, but otherwise take a chance on some of the little filled buns or cookies.
