Can't be too bad when I ate the whole damn duck in one sitting. Â I'd place this one half a star below BBQ King, but hey, they should get six stars! Â I'll try the soy sauce chicken next time. Â The best duck I've ever had was in SF Chinatown and sat on the curb eating the whole thing...nobody cares, it's San Francisco. Â That and a weird little Hmong place in Centerline Michigan.
Review Source:I swear the staff can be a bit rude. I know my family is a regular and I guess I don't make a big deal of my presence but the lady there today plucked my straw.
She was asking all sorts of question saying who I was and the hullabaloo.I just want to order some BBQ pork... not have my life publicized or have people gawk.
By the way, the food was a hit to the kids. We purchased this for a potluck and the kids couldn't resist opening the container to get a head-start. Or BBQ pork was always a hit since it's glazed with honey sauce.
Although I dislike to see it or hear some one say that this "is the BEST____ "  fill in the blank. I'd have to say that this is in the top 3 places for Chinese  BBQ.  This place is part take out/ part grocery store  they have all kinds of household goods and cooking ware.  It is our families favorite place to take out duck, chicken roast pork and BBQ pork for over 35 years.  The appearance is a little dumpy but they create authentic Chinese styled BBQ. Freshest around. But my only complaint is choices become very limited when they are out. of duck pork or chicken. So shop early.
Review Source:Bf and I come here for the roast pork. It's the best we've ever had, hands down. It's tender and the skin is super crispy. The only downside is since it's so freaking good, it sells out really fast. When it's Chinese New Year's, my grandma and stepdad go extra early to get huge chunks of the succulent meat. Yeah, it's that good.
Review Source:I very much love the roast duck they have there. I can't speak much for anything else because all I eat is the duck they have. Its really good, not dry and salty like  most places. The sauce they have is sweet and thin, not paces that you get with chucks of black bean. Sometimes I can't help myself and end up eating half a duck before its time for dinner. Sigh... I need self control
Review Source:This is by far the best BBQ house for roast duck in Chicago Chinatown. Â There, I said it. Â Its cash only store front (no seating and the staff mostly speaks variations of Chinese), but the fresh out of the roaster duck is just perfect. Â The meat is juicy and tender, a gentle layer of fat, and crispy brown skin fills your mouth with its decadence. Â I am by no means a connoiseur but this place gets it right. Â Just make sure you eat it while its warm! Run home after you pick up the duck!!!!
