Tasty Pup

Good, simple food. And fast--I'd barely had time to sit down before my Tasty Pup and cheese fries were ready!

Delicious hot dog loaded with fresh toppings, and while not hand cut, the fries were hot and crisp. Coming in just under $5, I didn't think it was terribly priced considering how much I enjoyed my lunch.

Will definitely be keeping this place in mind when I'm in the area!

There are many pluses to Tasty Pup, but their food isn't one of them. The tiny restaurant is attractive and clean. The owners and their staff are friendly. However, the food is mediocre.

I've been here a few times as a matter of convenience and it hasn't gotten any better. The hamburgers are paper thin frozen patties. The polish sausage is small and isn't a natural casing product. The fries are frozen--not fresh cut. Just because it's fast food, doesn't mean the restaurant has to take short cuts on quality.

If you live in the area and want to take your kids for a hot dog, Tasty Pup will probably fill the bill. If you want good tasting, quality, fast food, there are many other places that do a much better job.

Pricey for what you get.  I mean its not like the dog is home made.

Yes, they pile on veggies, but no hot dog (unless its some special concoctions)  should ever cost more than $2.
