We ordered their New York pizza and garlic bread. The pizza was thick and rubbery, and the garlic bread was beyond stale - to the point where we had to reread the menu, as we were unsure if it was supposed to be hardened bread sticks (it's not). Major bummer; we really wanted to find a good pizza place in our new 'hood.

I'm so confused. Do people in Denver not have taste buds? Almost everyone I talked to recommended this place for some reason, and I just can't figure out why; everything about it is disgusting. The only thing good about this place is that they have a late-night happy hour which starts at 9pm, but maybe that's why the drinks sucked.

I ordered a margarita and it literally just tasted like cheap margarita mix mixed with warm water. I then ordered the sangria and it tasted like cheap red wine mixed with Mountain Dew. Finally, I really just wanted to leave with somewhat of a buzz, so I just ordered a glass of the cheap red wine. The pizza was even worse than the drinks. Why the hell was everyone raving about the pizza? It tasted like a frozen Tostinos pizza with some microwaved sausage crumbles thrown on top; it looked just the same. When I was handed my plate, it was pizza that was old and stale (the sauce was baked into the crust and the cheese was transparent, which lets you know that it was old) and all they did was toss a few shreds of mozzarella on the top (which was clumpy and wasn't even melted) along with the sausage crumbles. Gross! Good thing it was only like $2.

Next time I am in Denver, I won't be back here.

Being vegan, I go to most pizza places expecting to order sauce on crust with vegetables, which I'm totally down for. I came here for dinner with friends, and we were greeted with a plate of breadsticks, which had cheese on them. Whatever, no biggie, I'll just start eating when the entrees arrive. I ordered a calzone without cheese (I didn't mention a dietary restriction, I'm not picky so I try not to be difficult) and our server immediately "got it" and offered Daiya (which wasn't listed as an option on the menu, how happy was I!) and then immediately brought me a plate of breadsticks without the cheese on them. All in all, the food was good, but the small, thoughtful (and knowing) gestures of, I don't know, "including me" more into the meal I was having with my non-vegan friends made it a way more wonderful experience and meal than a calzone full of just tomato sauce and peppers in itself would have provided. Also the happy hour specials look killer, I'll be back for sure.
