*sigh* I wish I could give Toppers a higher rating...but I just can't bring myself to do it.
That being said, their pizza is okay..decent even. Like someone said, it's a pizza chain. So, don't go in there with super high expectations. My friend raves about their Topperstix, while I think their pizza is better. So, I guess it just depends on what you're looking for. Or hungry for, I should say.
I agree with a lot of Yelpers, that a HUGE plus is they're open late. Which is nice, when you're hungry for some pizza.
This place makes me sad. It's like a wannabe Sarpino's, but it isn't even as good as Sarpino's which is depressing. The pizza that I had from there was dry with almost no sauce and the toppings were scant and not really that good. If you want to eat dry bread with crap thrown on it then this is the place for you. Â But when there are so many better pizza places in the vicinity, why eat here? My recommendation, dish out a little more money and head over to Pat's pizza where they have one of the best thin crust pizzas in the city. Even Pauley's pizza almost next door is better than this place and that's saying something.
Review Source:If you order Toppers with the right expectations, you'll be fine. Â It's in the same class as Dominos, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, and that whole gang. Â I'd say it tasted a LOT like Dominos before they changed their crust. Â I guess that's not a good thing. Â On the plus side, their pizzas do come with dipping sauce and some peppers. Â The Topperstix were pretty good - again basically cheesy pizza crust.
Their menu does have a few unique topping options. Â May be worth trying the Mexican topping pizza or something like that. Â I think for what it is, they may be overpriced.
