When it seems like there's no way of getting dinner on the table, Track Town Pizza is who I call.  I look forward to busy nights that prevent me from cooking, just so I can wait around until 9:59 to put an order in for a pizza.  There's a 10:00 for $10 special.  Get a medium pizza (2 toppings) for ten bucks after 10.  We always order the linguica and and peperoncini, which is tangy and spicy and acceptably greasy. So good when it's topped off with a local beer.  I heard that the lunch buffet is also stellar-but I try to avoid buffets, as they are bad business for the waistline.  The service and timing of delivery has always been efficient.

Best Pizza Ever. Really cool environment.  Decent salad bar saved by incredible ranch dressing.

what can i say. the pizza is a ok.. it definetly carries a premium price but doesn't hit the premium quality that i expected. tomatos were thrown on cold after the pizza was baked. anyways, it's decent pizza but it's hard for me to say it's amazing.
salad bar is basic.. ingredients  were very fresh and not too pricey

Their pizza is beyond reproach.  Try the Triple Jump.  Trust me.  Their ability to get people in and out even on Game Day is great.  The negative reviews are most likely from bandwagon fans who don't know how Game Day in Eugene works.  Best pizza in Eugene!

Good pizza, not the best I have ever had but it was pretty good.  Toppings and pie names were creative.  I'd go back but I would go out of my way for it again.

Eh.  The pizza is good if you get it hot, but pass on the pizza delivery.  I'd rather have Pegasus or Mezza Luna or La Perla...but this spot gets kudos for all of the fundraisers they do.

    Best pizza in lane county.

I love the bbq, it is simply amazing, homeade crust great tasting bbq sauce.

Lunch buffet is a great deal also, great assortment of pizza and not your typical cheap buffet pizza, they bring out the good stuff!

I have iffy luck with ordering pizza from my hotel rooms in random towns... having had a recent bad pizza experience, I checked the reviews first and chose Track Town. Hooray!! The service was friendly and delivered right when they said it would be. Hot too! The pizza was delicious. Yes I was starving, but still it was great. I ordered a 3 topping veg pizza and was not disappointed in the quality or quantity of toppings. Yum! If I end up back in Eugene hungry, I will go for the Track Town pizza for sure.

I've been coming here for over 28 years since my college days in the 80s.  When I say it hasn't changed a bit I mean it in the best sense!  Though the kids behind the counter keep getting younger, they're still just as nice.

I imagine business must go bonkers after the Quack Attack at the new Matthew Knight arena across the street.  Fueled by Nike dollars, campus keeps evolving from the ivy-covered buildings that first drew me in.  But hey --  at least the pizza is just as good as always.

Track Town is the first place I ever had whole wheat crust on a pizza.  The results are hearty and filling yet not heavy or doughy...They've got it down to a science.

Love love love the pesto because we prefer it over red sauce.  Add some sundried tomatoes and artichoke hearts and you have an amazing pie.  Though (yes, unbelievably) you may end up with too much cheese at times. It happens.

The pizzeria feel is homey and comforting, especially for test-pressed students away from familiar surroundings. The wood booths are quiet and cozy, perfect for studying or canoodling with that certain someone.  And for rowdier evenings -- football, anyone? - there's a big-screen TV.

Pizza traditionalists who prefer standard toppings won't be disappointed either.  Track Town somehow manages to strike the perfect balance between experimental and tried-n-true.

My tip: ask for their local beers.  I was blown away by a dark that was refreshing and  spot on!

Probably the best pizza I've ever had.  It all starts with the crust which is the perfect thickness (neither cracker thin or bready thick, but just right) and has a wonderful flavor; both the wheat and the white.  It's never soggy or floppy, just crispy and bready and wonderful.  The sauce is not sweet or acidic like a lot of places tend to be.  Just perfectly seasoned and complementary to any toppings.  Our favorite so far is the Hammer (pepperoncinis on a pizza.  Who would have thought it would be so incredible), and the chicken Metropol.  Yummy!!  We are hooked on this pizza place and order from it about once a week.  They deliver too, which is thumbs up in my book.

Their pizza is good and I've been there enough times to say that their quality is consistent. Is it the greatest pizza? No. But it's very good and not outrageously priced.   I've tried just a plain pizza and wasn't impressed but when I've gotten pizzas with toppings, they become much, much better. I will continue to go there whenever I'm in town.

Love this pizza. It's a little expensive for pizza (that's why I didn't give it 5 stars), but it's really good. I'd definitely recommend trying this place out.

We were in Eugene over the weekend and decided to pick up some pizza before the Academy Awards. We ordered a giant sized 'Decathlon' (which serves 4) and it was excellent. It took about 15 minutes to get our 'to go' order. While we waited we drank a glass of wine it was fun to see the nice college kids come in from the U of O campus to order food.

The kids working at the place were so nice and overall it was a great experience. Great customer service, reasonable prices, great pie and tons of old track and field memorabilia and Prefontaine posters. Love this place! It's been years since I've been in there but the place is still wonderful. If you've never been, you should definitely check it out. Yum!

I'm from NYC. Any pizza that's not NYC style has no chance at five stars. It has to phenomenal to earn four, and has to be really, really good to get three.

The pizza was alright - some pies were over-done with the toppings. Hawaiian pizza is special because the hints of tartness from the fruit contrasts well with the zesty nature of marinara sauce. It doesn't do so well when the pineapple is piled super high. Same thing with BBQ chicken...too much BBQ sauce. I can't comment on the pricing because my meal was paid for by my company, but  there's a window with pizza pies laid out across from a basic salad bar. My guess is that there's a flat rate of some sort. I imagine it's a popular spot, being right across campus, but ive had much better pizza outside of my hometown.

Went here after a Ducks night game.  Got my to-go pizza a little quicker than expected.  Pizza was tasty and the bacon was delicious!  My only complaint was the prices should be a tad bit cheaper.  Perfect place to go though for an after game meal!  GO DUCKS!

Open late and they put up with my drunk friends. Always a a good combination. Also, free ranch with your pizza! Gotta love that kind of decadence. I've had better pizza, for sure, but this place won't disappoint and the location is great.

Passed through Eugene from San Francisco to Vancouver, BC.  Got a deal on a meat lovers or something to that effect.  Bloody tasty, and not the alcohol talking.

Don't know if I'll ever pass by here again due to distance, but if I do, I would try again.

I'm the biggest track and field geek you'll ever find and I can say without hesitation that I'll never eat here again. I took some employees here once and found the pizza to be terrible and the salad bar was poor. The pizza was doughy with nasty sauce and not enough cheese. The toppings seemed undercooked (I like the cheese to be slightly browned and the peperoni to get crisp around the edges). The salad bar had a decent amount of things on it but but didn't seem to be particularly fresh (quite a few pickled or processed items). Worst of all is the price. Nothing too bad about bad pizza (because how bad can pizza really be?) but if it's overpriced it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and a hole in my pocket.

Went here of the recommendations of the distance coach at our school. He spent a summer up here a couple years ago and said he really liked it. I don't have a smart phone (yeah I know, but my phone is water proof, heat resistant, and shock proof, let's see a smart phone do that), so I couldn't use the cool Yelp function thingy. Anyway, figured I would give it a shot. It was probably one of the best atmosphere's for a pizza joint I've seen, but then again, I like Field and Track. Since my athlete was throwing the hammer the next day, we had the Hammer pizza, it was only fitting. While the pizza was good, it didn't knock my socks off. Who says that anymore? I guess I do. Crust had a good taste, as did the toppings, but it just seemed like it was missing that "ZA!" if you know what I mean. I'd def take it over Pizza the Hut any day.

Their pizza is pretty good and a so so salad bar.  They have a decent priced lunch buffet, but that's about it.  I thought their prices were pretty inflated for drinks and food (outside the special).

I think this place lives off of it's name and location to U of O, Matt Knight Arena, and Hayward field.  I imagine it gets quite busy and is the place to go before and after any U of O event or any function at the Matt Knight Arena, so If you're looking for a place to eat and drink at that's close to the U of O and Matt Knight Arena and don't mind spending some money this is the  place to go.

Meh, it was OK. I like that they don't overload their pizza with sauce and the toppings were plentiful. Overall the taste was good, but nothing to celebrate or rave about.

I also appreciate the price. We got a medium pizza and bread sticks for $15 (we had a coupon).

    De-licious.  My favorite pizza ever.

I have Duck football season tickets and my father and I always hit up Track Town before every single game.  We've never been disappointed once.  These guys make some incredibly tasty, thick pizzas.  The sausage is some of the best I've ever had and the crust is fantastic.

Plus, if you're a Duck fan, you can't beat the atmosphere of all the track and football memorabilia everywhere.  The pizzas come out pretty quickly even when they're swamped, and the prices, albeit a bit more expensive than standard pizza faire, aren't too bad.

I love me some pizza and Track Town does it the best.

The Good: Thick, hearty pizza with plenty of toppings.  Genuine Eugene local business, with U of O track memorabilia keeping it true to its namesake.  All you can eat lunch buffet is one of the staple diets of local college kids.  BBQ chicken pizza is the best I've had anywhere.

The Bad: If you're looking for thin crust or NY style pizza, go elsewhere.  This isn't quite deep dish, but the crust is thick and doughy, which is fine as long as you expect it.  The prices are a bit high except for the lunch buffet, making it about as expensive as Papa's.

The Ugly: The interior is pretty plain besides the track memorabilia, but it can be nostalgic if you're into the local track history and such.  You don't have to bus your own table, but everything else is self-service.

The Rundown: Classic college pizza joint.  Decent thick pizza, better quality imo than Papa's at about the same inflated price.  I prefer thinner crust, but the lunch buffet is a great deal even I couldn't pass up.  I used to sit for 2 hours doing coursework while fitting all the bbq chicken pizza and pepsi I could in me.  Ah, those were the days...

Been here several times over the years.  My wife is a U of O alum so she has eaten here a few more times than me.

Stopped in today on our way home from Florence to Bend.  My wife was "in the mood" for Track Town Pizza, so being the food lover I am....no argument from me.

So here is the straight scoop.  It's not gourmet pizza, but is that a bad thing?  It's right across the street from the biggest university in Oregon....ie: it's "college" pizza.

Not as bad as Little Caesars, but it's not your brick oven flat bread garlic pesto concoction either.  I would say it's better than Round Table or any other national chain.

So today we stopped in for a quick bite....one small pizza and two side salads.

Opted for the "Olympian" and the small was just right for the two of us. Sorry, can't remember what exactly was on it, but I will say the sausage was spicier than expected.  Good, but spicy.  Makes me wonder what kick the linguica would have?

The salad bar is no gourmet offering....and since I like beets, it was definitely lacking in that department.  But it's your basic iceberg lettuce, cucumber, carrots and kidney bean selection.  No spinach or super healthy choices to pick from.  But still, in my world.....a salad is vehicle for dressing.  So as long as it has most of the things I like and blue cheese to drench my greens....I'm good.

Still.....for the "Powers that Be"....add some beets, please.

The atmosphere is more like a sports bar.  The dining room has one long "table" of several picnic type tables put end to end going down the center.  Perfect for large groups and people who don't mind sitting next to strangers while watching the game.

Large booths line both sides of the dining room.  Hard wooden bench type seating.

Again, it's totally sports bar themed for life at U of O.  A place that I can well imagine gets pretty rowdy.

Seems we've always gone here for lunch since I've known my wife, so I have not witnessed life here on game night.  I'm sure it's not for those seeking a quiet table for two in a romantic setting.

We'll still keep coming here from time to time while in the area when the mood strikes us.  Either because we fancy a pizza or my wife just wants to stroll down memory lane.  Track Town Pizza is on our list.

You know something is working when this business has been popular since the 70's !  University of Oregon Track memorabilia is everywhere and really gives you a sense of the history of this amazing university.

This was our first time there and were pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service we received.  We ordered the largest gourmet vegetarian pizza they have, went to pick it up and the woman behind the counter apologized for the delay.

They were not happy about the quality of the crust so they put in another one for us and we would need to wait about 10 minutes.  She offered us free sodas for the inconvenience and we politely declined telling her that it was not big deal, thank you anyway.

A couple minutes later a man came out from the kitchen and handed us an envelope.  This he said, was to thank us for our understanding.  It was a coupon for a free pizza!

We feel that was way above and beyond, it was extremely thoughtful and goes to show the management, kitchen and staff really care about the quality that goes out the door or to your table.

By the way, the pizza was amazing!  The crust looked and tasted home made, was not over saucy or cheesy.  The roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts were bright, flavorful and yummy.

    We will go there again.

I see the negative votes on Track Town and I don't get it.  I can't see why anyone would not like this place.

I understand that this is not gourmet artisan pizza.  There are no Thai chicken pizzas on artisan crusts made with cornmeal ground by Old Ben the farmer down the road.  There is no foraged mushroom and goat cheese pizza with the goat cheese coming from a goat out back that has a name.  And don't get me wrong, I like all the gourmet frou-frou stuff.  I'm not a snob about that stuff.

Track Town is not that kind of pizza.  Track Town has the kind of pizza you want after a softball league game with a pitcher of beer and the rest of your team all dirty and sweaty.  The kind of pizza you want after a long drive back from a trip when you are feeling fatigued but don't want to go home and cook, or sit in a fancy restaurant.  Or...after watching a great track meet when you want to sit and relive the meet with your buddies and talk a little too loud and throw your hands around and get excited!

The pizza is on a thick yet crispy crust, chewy and homey and thoroughly satisfying.  The sauce and the toppings are fresh and tasty and hearty and are strong flavors.  My last stop there, we had The Hammer which is pepperoni, linguica  and pepperocini and it was great.  Spicy and filling and my mouth was tingling at the end.  Great with a Drop Top Ale on the side!

I love coming to Track Town before or after a big meet at Hayward Field.  We came to Track Town on Friday after day 3 of the NCAA Championships, and had fun seeing athletes and friends and family from different schools come over and just enjoy themselves--Baylor, BYU, Washington, UCLA, Princeton, Texas.  Robbie Andrews came by with his family, he had just given a great effort but did not quite win the 800, but he was there with his family and was having a great time with a little sister (niece?).  Anyway, we walked up and said hi, good race, and you'll get it next year (he's only a freshman).   He gave us a big smile and shook hands and went back to his pizza.  How great is a place that let's moments like that happen?

U of O Duck stuff on the walls. Pizza is good and they deliver! WAY better than getting anything from a game piece or a hut or a pipe themed place. Great toppings and good crust.  If you live near order it. If you like pics of Ducks stuff go in. Most of my friends will agree on ordering from Track Town and that keeps me from having to argue and scream until they decide. Thanks!

Historic, campus location on Franklin is worth a stop for any duck fan. The memorabilia covering the walls is walk down memory lane for old and young alike and lets face great colors and logo.

The pizza is ok, and there are usually some great student specials for U of O. The all you can eat lunch buffet is always a crowd pleaser but... I just don't like their pizza that much.

    Best Pizza in Eugene.

There, I said it, and I know a few folks on Yelp will disagree, but this place has been my favorite since I lived just a stones throw away in the Burgess wing of Hamilton dormitory.

The buffet is loaded and you get a discount if you are a student, meaning it's $6.50 for all you can eat (with a coupon).  I think someone already mentioned that the buffet only runs on weekdays, but the same can be said for Pizza Hut down the street on Franklin. A wide selection of pizzas, a loaded salad bar and two soups always await. Try the Barbecue Chicken if they have it, it's their "signature pizza."

My fave when I'm making it rain (like Lil' Wayne) is the Chicken Metropol. It's pricey but artichokes, marinated chicken and in house pesto all slathered on a thick pan pizza crust is divine.  Giggity giggity.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy candied apples and walnuts with smoked gouda on an organic dough sourced from Lane County. But when I feel like curbing the progressive/hippie/foodie role I'll take an $11 large pepperoni from Track Town. That's the best there is.

Again, have to find that coupon for the $11 one topping. They have it in the campus coupon books.

Set in Track Town USA (Eugene, OR) up the street from Hayward Field is Track Town Pizza. As you walk in you will notice that tons of pictures of former Duck athletes litter the walls. It's a classic college town pizzeria and it should be, being right across from the University of Oregon. For me though, the star here is the bar-b-q chicken pizza! It's one of those things that is so good that you can get sick later just from eating too much of it!

Came here after watching the Ducks dismantle Utah State on 9/6/08. My girlfriend loves the BBQ chicken pizza here, so we got that and I wanted to try the triple jump pizza. For me, the BBQ chicken was smothered in way too much BBQ sauce so I only had one slice of that. The triple jump pizza was excellent. Sausage, onion, spinach, garlic, and feta was a great combination.

We had the whole wheat crust and low fat cheese on our pizza here and I could not taste anything strange or loss of flavor with the low fat cheese. So we had a "healthier" pizza than usual and it was good.

Prices here are borderline ridiculous, and are priced along the lines of some of the best pizzerias in the country, which they are not. An example of this is one of their meat pizzas - "the decathalon" which costs $31 for a 14" large. Crazy. 3.5 Stars

I tried Track Town Pizza a couple days ago. I figured I should, since it's apparently a Eugene institution. I went in with very few expectations and little to no knowledge of its history, and definitely no knowledge of its food.

I discovered that I really liked what I got. I went in at about 7pm on a weeknight, and the place was pretty well empty. Maybe that was a fluke. I can say that, as soon as I walked in, a bunch of people walked in behind me, so I felt a bit rushed in ordering, and I didn't see any personal pizza options on the menu. Ordered a 10-inch canadian bacon/pineapple, which came out much more quickly than I expected. It was nicely cooked, with the ham just slightly crispy at the edges, the crust (not overly thick, not super thin) browned but not burnt. I found the amount of cheese on the pizza to be just right, though I admit to not paying that much attention because I was so delighted with the ham.

One thing I didn't really care for was having to wrap my leftovers in foil rather than being offered a box. I had to carry half of my pizza home (I walked there) in foil, which wasn't so cool. But that was a minor annoyance, and now I'm ready for it.

If/when I ever get their pizza delivered, I'll let you know how that goes. But it may never happen because I live so close to the restaurant, and pizza is generally better just out of the oven...at least for me. So the four stars is for restaurant pizza, not delivery, since I can't yet comment on that.

I put this pizza on par with Papa's Pizza - It's good for delivery, and buffet.  You eat this food to get stuffed.

The price:value is just on the okay side of the line.  Expect to drop $20 for a pizza to feed two grown males with maybe a slice or two left over.

They carry a good selection of gourmet toppings, some that Papa's doesn't:  Feta, spinach, sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, roasted garlic (it's goes in the oven, right ;-) and artichoke hearts.

I'm getting so old that Track Town is one of the only places that was in business when I was in college.  Of course, Sy's was too.

It's great, reliable pizza.  It's also great delivery.  We're usually in town for football weekends when it can get crowded.  So we order delivery.  The service has always been faster than promised and the prices are great.

The pizza is terrific - we like pepperoni and theirs is spicy and well crisped.

I only wish they still had pizza bagels...

Track Town is the perfect west coast pizza.

Although i can say that I love this place b/c of nostalgia, a recent trip (2005--I graduated in 1993) reminded me of how great it really is.  We stopped in here not once but twice for the "Decathlon" pizza.

What I love the most is the crust--it's not thin crust, but not think.  It has a crispy yet chewy quality that is just perfect.

Seriously, I've not found a pizza here in the Bay Area that I love as much as Track Town.  Well, there is Arinell, but that's NY style.

The pictures of UO athletes and clippings from the R-G all over the walls will make you grin, unless you are a troglodyte who lives under a rock somewhere, or perhaps are a UW alum - but I repeat myself.  Track Town's pizza is the same as it has always been - good (not great) when it's fresh, not as good when it's delivered 45 minutes later in a cardboard box.  Try the barbecued chicken or pesto and chicken if you're tired of the same old pepperoni mess.  I doubt TT is your bag if you are into vegan pizza - but then, that's a contradiction in terms anyway.

The pizza ain't PRI, but you won't wait an hour for it, either.  Plus, you can find a place to sit and relax...which you will be able to do in comfort, because Track Town has air conditioning and they're not afraid to use it.  Salad bar?  It's adequate to round out your meal, I guess, but I wouldn't make my vegetarian friends subsist on it.  But who goes to a pizza joint for salad?  This is more of a family place, although if you're raising your kids to be tight-assed prigs, you might wanna steer clear - your fellow diners are likely to be watching sports on the many TVs, and that means the occasional expletive.  If you have a party of six, you can't go to Sy's - there are only five stools! - but you'll be right at home at Track Town.

Not everybody loves it, but really - if your world revolves around pizza, there's a strong possibility you need to get a life, or at least get the heck out of Eugene.

Yuck. We used to call this place "Lowest Common Denominator Pizza." The decor is closer to real cheese than anything they put on their pies. The only saving grace is the salad bar, and even that can be pretty dicey. Honestly, I will never understand why anyone likes this place. I have to agree with the guy who pronounced this stuff cardboard.

For chrissake, just go to Sy's. It's not that far away.
