I had a very positive conversation with the management after having posted my review, and they gave us a kind offer to compensate for our bad experience with the series. They also detailed all the changes that have been made to this series based on the feedback from previous attendees, and it sounds like they've taken our suggestions to heart. Thank you for being willing to talk and resolve this unfortunate situation. Your customer service is much appreciated :)

We attended tonight's Summer BBQ Series class and were so very impressed with all the changes that have been made to the series. Tonight's class was done by Cali BBQ in Spring Valley, and they were amazing.

The food was bountiful, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Their tri-tip sliders were the best I've ever had, and the dessert was pure bliss.... grilled peaches with a cinnamon sugar drizzle and vanilla ice cream. There were actually many different courses in this event.... we started out with a cup of baked "wedding" bean side dish that was fantastic.... pieces of pulled pork and peppers added to the flavor of the dish...mmmm :) then, we had a bacon wrapped, five cheese stuffed jalapeno, which my husband loved. After that came two sliders ~ one pulled pork and the other was a tri-tip that was juicy, flavorful, and melted in our mouths. They were paired with a potato salad that was also yummy. The main course was a plate of ribs that melted off the bone. All this was finished off with the grilled peach dessert I mentioned above.

When we arrived, we were given two drink tokens, a recipe card, and two coupons for the restaurant. One that ensured us happy hour pricing throughout the rest of the evening (a nice added touch, although we were so full, we didn't even think of using it), and a card for 20% off any lunch for our entire table that is valid for the rest of the year. These were nice added touches this year. The venue was also moved onto the patio overlooking the ocean, and we were able to watch a beautiful sunset as the evening progressed.

We were thoroughly impressed with the event, the friendliness of the staff, the offers of seconds on the tri-tip (mmmm), and the hospitality of Katie who organizes the event. I would now highly recommend that if you're in the area for one of these evenings this summer, that you stop by and experience a lovely evening. We're looking forward to attending the next one!

This place is fantastic and Thursday night is definitely the night to go!  I believe tapas are always on their menu but Thursday nights the guys are outside cooking all of the Tapas in front of you, the guitarist is playing fabulous music and it gives you a very authentic Spanish feeling.  I am in a Spanish conversational group where we get together once a month at different Mexican/Spanish restaurants to practice speaking Spanish and this is by far one of the best places we have gone to.  I was also very impressed with our server Angela who serviced our entire group of 25 while we ordered drinks, tapas and other items off the menu at various times through the 3 or so hours we were there.  She was very patient with us, prompt, very nice and got every order correct.  The food was absolutely delicious, I had the shrimp tapa and it was by far one of the pieces of shrimp I've ever eaten and the ahi tuna salad was fantastic also.  The house bread with the spiced butter was also good and other people in our group enjoyed the lamb meatballs, hummus and flatbreads.  The sangria was great both red and white and they had great prices on everything!  I will definitely be back and look forward to more great music, food and fun!

I just stopped in for drinks with some friends and it was the perfect atmosphere. The outdoor seating is beautiful and they have a very extensive drinks menu. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but I know I will be back to try it pretty soon with a tasty glass of wine.
