First time customers. My wife's appetizer was not hot. Mine was warm. My wife had Pescatore and it was good. I had Spaghetti Carbonara which was not bad. The lounge music was way to loud. We could not have a conversation across the table from the far end of the restaurant. They did give us a free desert for the cold appetizer. The service was good. The parking lot is to small so you need to find a spot down the street. The meal prices are pretty high. There are plenty of other local restaurants that are a better value.

The restaurant wasn't terribly busy but it took us nearly two hours to receive our dinners. While I've had good food there before, this time the steak in my pasta was tough, the pasta over cooked, and the service was lacking as well. Needless to say, this will most likely be my last trip here.

I am always happy to support a local restaurant, but I expect a better experience than this for $20 a plate.  I was happy to finally visit this place, but its going to take something special to bring me back.  I will give them credit that the food is better than any chain restaurant, but for western mass I expect more.  I have had 4* quality food in NYC and Boston for the same price as this, and I know East Longmeadow has less turnover, I still expect better quality for the price.  Unless I am going out for some super special date that I need to stay in East Longmeadow for, I will probably not be back to this place.  I do wish them luck though.

Quite possibly the worst bar I've ever seen - had to order three drinks before coming up with something they actually had. No Guinness, no Twisted Tea or hard lemonade, strike out on the Smirnoff Ice and yet everything they sell is bottled.  The bartender is a complete a-hole and got cheeky with me when I didn't know which patron's drink he was handing me to serve. You read it right. Dude I'm not your effing waiter so either put me on the payroll or serve the drink yourself. What a tool. He apparently had an issue with a customer's bottle sitting on the bar so he decided to top off the glass to empty it and a substantial amount overflowed onto the bar. All I can say is he's lucky it wasn't mine.

The food is greasy, the marinara seems to be made with battery acid and the staff... let's just say they all seem to have taken a leaf from the bartender's book. Rude, inattentive and with an abundance of attitude. Never again.

I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, I go out to eat alot, and its rare I feel so strongly about a restaurant.
I have been here 3 times before, and now I will never go back for many reasons:

    1. Manager. This guy should not be allowed to talk to customers. He was argumentative and ranting about the proper way a veal chop should be cooked.

    2. Questionable food.  The "med-rare" veal chop came out 10 min late, raw(cut into the part farthest from bone) second time it came out it was burnt to a bitter crust.  My bread had a shard in it, I'm guessing glass.  My chicken was also over cooked and the mushrooms, however bountiful, looked out of a can pre-sliced.  We made the mistake of getting dessert, 2 of 3 were fine. But my sisters cheesecake was salted on the top(similar taste to putting 2tsp of sugar in  morning coffee, but it's actually salt. try it, so disgusting!). I dont see how that could be an accident, probably intentional.  And to top it off, the manager said to us " if you told me earlier, I could have taken the veal chop back and used it elsewhere".  So your saying you would reserve this to someone else? He then proceeds to call my brother a wise guy for saying that.

3.Decor. If I'm going out to a nice Italian place where prices reach to high 20's, I expect a nice fancy style decor.  The building and walls are fine, but what rubs me the wrong way is the "paper grocery bag" paper that is your table cloth. Really? cant do a decent table cloth?
I could keep going, but this is the important stuff.
I'm done with this place, and I suggest you never go there.

Had an awesome dinner with my girlfriend and another couple tonight.  I had a filet mignon with lump crab meat on top it was the best meal I've had in awhile. The service was good just alittle drawn out it took a bit of time to get our dinners but all and all it was a great dinner.

Four of us decided to try this place for dinner since we had a Restaurant./com gift certificate.  I;d heard great things, except for the location and parking.  The food was very good but the service, ugh, it seriously left something to be desired.  I not only was served the wrong dinner (beef marsala-which was a filet, instead of veal) but the waiter was rarely seen and was rude.  It was if asking a question was taboo.  But, like I said the food was very good and I'd give it another shot.  maybe it was just a bad night.

my wife and i treated our son to dinner out last night and we decided to try something new...villa napoletana. i had heard many radio commercials about them and they peaked my interest about this restaurant so we decided to try it. i have to say i was pleasantly surprised!   after being seated by our server Rita (who was one of the best servers i've had in a long time!) i looked over the many menu offerings and we decided to start with the bufalo mozzarella wrapped in bacon and then grilled. it was served over spinach with plum tomatoes...it was fabulous! my wife and son shared an entree of pasta al forno which was ziti baked with italian sausage and a variety of cheeses and i had the veal and shrimp gorgonzola. both were good although mine had WAAAAAAY too much gorgonzola cream sauce. as far as my dish went  i probably wouldnt order it again unless i specified the sauce on the side or much less of it.  both entrees with served with a generous and nicely made dinner salad...i mention this because so many restaurants offer a cheap dinner salad because they feel that need to and they are usually not very good!  overall it was a nice meal....
...as far as the restaurant itself it lacks parking and the interior is very cliche'. when you walk in the host stand is very typical of a diner with the barroom attached. the dining area which is behind the barroom is an open space of tables covered with white paper. candles are brought to the table after you are seated. oh, and for you soda drinkers...there are no free refills!
the menu is not inexpensive but the portions are generous so i will probably go back again! but do yourself a favor and ask for rita. she said she's there 7 days a week  and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and took great care of us.

For my birthday I wanted some Italian... Like real Italian food... Not olive Garden pre made pasta...  The real stuff. After a quick review of yelp, I thought id give the villa a try.

Following the gps we totally cruised right by the place, because it's tucked away in a convenience store parking lot. It's barely visible from the street, and not to mention located in a tiny parking lot with a jumble of cars parking every which way, leaving you circling around and around hoping someone is done eating so you can get a space.

Inside was cutely decorated, staff was friendly but I was a lil taken aback when the hostess did a full body scan of what we were wearing then asked my husband to remove his hat before walking in the dining room. I got a good chuckle as I was led into a tiny 12 table dining room with sheets of paper over the cloth tablecloths and was sat directly in front of a bathroom and a kitchen door. It seemed everyone was yelling over the depressing jazz singer in the bar area.

Service was excellent and the management was friendly and hospitable. The food was fast and piping hot, and relatively decent tasting. I feel like my chicken Alfredo could have used a bit more seasoning and perhaps a bit more time spent on the presentation of the plate, but overall I thought it was good. Portions were generous, and left me with lunch the next day.  Dessert was fabulous with a wide variety of yumminess to choose from.

Overall it was pretty good, I don't know if I would return again however.

I wish I liked this place more than I did.  It's really somewhere between 2 and 3 stars.  I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and round up.

It's nice looking inside with a bar section and a restaurant section - but with paper over the white tablecloths and cheesy lounge-y music.  Like someone else mentioned it's in a mini strip mall with a convenience store.  The parking lot is not nearly big enough for the amount of seating and people were getting pretty creative with parking (think Tetris).

Our waitress was very nice and sweet and we ordered the Chicken Inpacottata and the Spaghetti Carbonara.  Now, Carbonara is one of my favorite Italian dishes but I first had it in Rome where they don't use cream, so when I asked if it had cream, she offered to leave it out since they cook everything when you order it.  Definitely a plus.

The bread was not bad but not great.  I think it was maybe a grinder roll reheated in the oven?  Eh, it was warm and came with olive oil and a splash of balsamic vinegar.  The salad was kind of sad.  Two black olives and a single cherry tomato cut in half.  Cut in half.  Why is it that restaurants act like tomatoes are $500 a pound?

The chicken had an awesome mushroom sauce but the chicken itself was very dry.  The sauce didn't quite carry it.  The spaghetti was better - but really salty.  To be expected with lots of pancetta and a ton of cheese, but it tasted like they added salt.  It includes shallots (so the menu said, they might have been onions) which I could have done without personally.   The carbonara was quite large.  The side of pasta that came with the chicken had marinara sauce (odd pairing with a brown mushroom sauce) that tasted homemade.

Not a horrible experience but I have to admit I doubt I'll be back.  Overall I felt disappointed, in a word.  Maybe we just ordered the wrong things.

My sister came in from out of town and we decided to give this place a shot.  Our server was excellent and knowledgeable.  We shared a bottle of sangria, which came in a Patron bottle.  We ordered the Penne Ala Vodka and the Stuffed Beef Tenderloin.  Both were cooked to perfection.  I will definitely come back to this place.

My husband took me here for my birthday, and this was one of the tastiest Italian meals I've had in the Pioneer Valley.  This is real Italian food, not that watered-down pasta and garlic bread that the Olive Garden calls Italian food.  Villa Napoletana had a visiting guest chef from Italy that night, and I had Mediterranean monkfish.  I can't say enough good things about the monkfish - it was smoky and covered in a delicious sauce with capers and olives and other assorted, tasty goodies.  They gave me such a generous portion that I couldn't finish it.

The only drawback is the location - Villa Napoletana is in a strip mall.  While you're inside you wouldn't be able to tell, but if you're sitting at the window, it's entirely possible that someone with a mullet will sit down with a pack of cigarettes and a Mountain Dew that they've purchased from the convenience store in the strip mall and sit down on the bench outside the restaurant's front window, and you will be treated to a view of their lovely ape drape as they smoke, swig, and sit.  (The hostess was kind enough to close the drapes.)

For authentic, tasty Italian food and great service, I highly recommend Villa Napoletana.
