This is one of the better bars in the western suburbs. Â Why? Â Because they have outstanding specials and outstanding specials means people go there. Â
Not to mention the decor is rather charming and the outside is spacious. Â
I went on a Thursday a while back and there were $1 cans of Pabst...that's like 30% more than my house...plus there are women.
If they served food and were easier to find, definitely 5 stars. Â
It's just to the right of the outback steakhouse. Â Basically there's a big V. Â So it's not like - HEY THIS IS A GREAT BAR. Â Nope,,,just a big V.
Vintage Social club was the site of one of the biggest events ever.....My boy Sammys 30th!!! He celebrated becoming an old old ancient man by boozing it up at Vintage. Its a fairly new establishment so not a lot of people know about it which was a total plus for the party we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.
Its located in a strip mall so its hard to find and the fact that there is not sign doesnt help either.I'm sure many of you Villa parkians are saying to yourselves where the hell is this place, well what I tell people is it was the old Coyotes and right away they know what I'm saying.
They have an outdoor area that is kick butt! It has bags that you and your lil friends can use. The inside decor is intresting, the beer selection is not so good and truely the vodka selection isnt either. The kitchen wasnt open yet but I think they will be serving food shortly.
Vintage mostly earned the 4 star for the fact that they found my wallet and didnt even steal any money. So right there you know they are a stand up crew!
It had been a while since I'd seen someone with white girl corn rows, an over-sized Looney Tunes shirt, baggy JNCO jeans, and chola lip liner all in one package but thanks to Vintage Social Club, I was able to "saw it" with mine own two eyes. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
As for Vintage, I really enjoyed my time there. Outside they've got a KILLER beer garden with outdoor bar tables and dining tables (though they don't yet serve food) and a really great area to play bags with friends, though you should avoid putting the bags near your face at all costs (smells like those bad boys live outside). I would defo give them a "best beer garden in the VP" award though. Perfect for summertime fun.
Inside is quite stylish with plenty of things to keep your mind sharp ala dart boards, bar top games, Scattegories, and pinball. The bar itself is super cute (besides the too long lines to the one stall bathroom) in a very shabby chic way. Think Dive Lounge, if you can imagine. Â Â
If you go, I recommend getting there early and going with a large group so you can dominate. We went early for a surprise party and were the only group in the place and it kind of rocked. As the end of the night came closer the place got busier and busier and I think every smoker and chola lip liner'd lady in the tri-state was in this piece but  no worries, everyone kept to themselves... though I'd never seen such a mass of enthusiasm for Ludacris' "Move B*tch, Get Out The Way" song.  Okay, so maybe the crowd at the end of the night was a little "rougher" than I would have liked but just follow my advice and hang with a big group and it'll be easy to ignore the similarities between the late night crowd at VSC and the crowd at Six Flags Great America circa '97-'98.
Vintage also offers some great specials every night of the week, though I was really disappointed that they had no beers on tap. They did have a few (maybe 2-3) craft beer options amongst their mostly major beer co labels but nothing was super cheap and I just can't bring myself to drink sh*tty beer, at higher prices, out of a bottle. I go out so I can get something I couldn't get at home ala beer on tap. Â Give me some taps!
For music there's a fancy electronic jukebox but on the night we went a DJ took over toward the latter half of the evening. The DJ started off by playing his first 45 minutes of only 311 songs that sound exactly the same, then moved on to all our fave hits from 1997 (Cake, Beck, Sublime, the Toadies- it was AWESOME!), then played some rock oldies and unheards, and then moved on to some Luda, and other rappers you'd forgotten about in the last 5-8 years. Overall I'd say the music was tolerable but wasn't a great soundtrack for the ambiance of Vintage. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
I know we'll be back because the staff here are both fun and sexy (hello hottie tattoos!) but I'd love to see them add some beer taps and maybe come up with a few signature cocktails to refine their clientèle and bring in more money... oh, and get a working phone number. What's up with that?
Final synopsis: I'm down with VSC, yeah you know me.
