This is my go-to bar in Denver. Â If you can't handle real, deep dish pizza, get the thin crust. Â The Big Pizzle is fantastic. Â Awesome servers, awesome service, awesome ambiance. Â Good place to watch sports and a great pool table with cues that aren't totally jacked up.
If you haven't been, and you'd be into lowkey, high quality sports bars... Â this is your spot. Â Even if you aren't a Chicago sports fan.
I have tried to like this joint, but every time the service has been bad.
I went in after midnight with a buddy Friday night. Â The bar was not packed and a few seats were occupied. Â We sat at a booth and waited seven minutes. Â No one came over to greet us (which has happened twice before at this very same booth). Â We decided to get up and get service at the bar.
Flash forward another 10 minutes, and a bartender finally came over to greet us. Â He saw us sit down, but was too busy on the other side of the bar. Â Once he took our drink order, the greeting and interaction was forced. Â The bartender came off and annoyed and intoxicated. Â I ordered a beer and a shot. Â The shot was a very small pour, and was a terrible value. Â
I proceeded to watch the bartender take one shot with a regular, commenting that he was going to have to take a cab home that night. Â The bartender should not have been serving guests, no matter how much fun he wanted to have with his regulars.
I will not be back, unless forced.
Not bad... Really is a "local" bar, so I wouldn't go out of your way to make an appearance. I guess if you like stuffing yourself with fat, gooey, Italian casserole-cake (what I call deep dish pizza -- ugh) then this is the place for you. I've watched both college and NFL football here with friends (while downing cheap beer and cheap eats), and that seems to be the crowd it draws. Not sure what it's like at night, but I bet it ain't too bad. May even be fun. Try it and root for DA BEARS while you're there-- but make sure to fit in a typical Windy City workout the next day! Oh wait, you don't go to the gym? You'll fit right in.
Review Source:Absolutely amazing! I was born & raised in Chicago and this place makes the most authentic food from home I have ever tasted! The people who work there are so nice and the Chicago sports decor made me feel right at "home." A lot of Chicago natives who now live in Denver frequent the place. This is definitely my new "go to" place when I feel a bit homesick.
Review Source:I love these little tucked away neighborhood bars with their own style and attitude. Wyman's is a Chicago bar with great Goose Island beers, Chicago deep-dish and walls festooned with Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and even a bit of Cubs.
And unfortunately for us, Wyman's also has a bit of the old Chicago attitude in its service. Or maybe not Chicago but whatever it is it's not good. Service is always so slow here. You sit and wait for them to recognize you. Then even more time goes by before you can actually order something. Than you see people eating their pizzas even though they came in after you did. Then it's impossible to get the check or order more beers or get anything. And of course it's all done with rolled eyes and a bit of attitude.
And while the pizza is good, I've noticed it's gotten a bit more salty lately, just like the service.
Oh well..Wyman's is a cool bar and I'll probably be back, but only when I have hours to waste on service as cold as Chicago's winters.
Wyman's earns four stars in my book for the drinks, appetizers, friendly staff, and cozy neighborhood bar vibe. It's perfect for a Friday happy hour. Great drink specials and awesome appetizers. They earned my respect the second I spotted tater tots served with lil' smokies on the menu. Do yourself a favor and get some pepperoni rolls--they're what dreams are made of. I'm also a big fan of the nachos... each one is perfectly crafted so that it includes a balanced combination of each ingredient, leaving no one with the lonely naked chip or the soggy bean-soaked chip.
But I'd have to give Wyman's two (maybe three on a good day) stars if you're planning to eat a legit dinner there. While the appetizers are delish, unless you're looking to make a meal out of pepperoni rolls and tater tots then you're probably better off hitting up Wyman's for a few beers and moving on for the main course. I wish this wasn't the case. My family is from Illinois so I was really hoping we could count on Wyman's to deliver a taste of the midwest. But every time I've had a meal there it's just been disappointing--enough times to lead me to believe these weren't just "off" nights.
Wyman's is a fun place for drinks and apps so I definitely recommend it (hence the four stars), I just don't think dinner is really their thing.
Being right down the street I love this place just for that. The happy hours run from 2pm (when it opens) till 6pm, and then again from 8pm till close. Awesome prices. The Pizza is fantastic! Being from New York I am picky about my pizza, but this place makes the cut for sure! The service is perfect and you usually find yourself being served by the management themselves. Very friendly place. Love having it right down the block, in fact is it 2pm yet?
Review Source:I have lived nearby for 5+ years and finally gave this a try. I heard I was missing out, but that is not the case.
I heard all about their deep dish pizza and was hungry too. It came and looked good, but the crust was overcooked, dry and dense. And for a cheese pizza, there was not enough cheese.
It may have been cheap, $15 for a 14" large, it would pay more for better pizza. Maybe I'd return for drinks at the bar.
Drinks are cheap, even cheaper during happy hour!
Also (and as an Illinois native I think I have some authority on this), the pizza here is the BOMB. I'm partial to the thin crust, though I've been told the deep dish is delish too.
Lots of TVs for those of you looking to watch the game... And by "the" game, I mean pretty much any sporting event. It'll probably be on SOME TV in this place.
Basically, I get cheap drinks and yummy pizza, my boyfriend gets to watch the game. Everyone wins!
This is a great place to watch Chicago games with fans (clearly). It has a nice atmosphere to it, but depending on where you sit, your view of a tv may be obstructed. Either because the booths are too large or just odd placement of some of the tvs.
Also, I haven't been impressed with the food.
Wow dude...I thought I'd reviewed this joint! I've been here a few times for Bears games and recently stopped in to watch the Hawks get spanked and Cubs beat the Cards on a walkoff! Â Sports action - 3 stars.
They've always got good specials, and I was with a group that knows all the staff...but unfortunately, it took me an hour and a half to get my meatball sandwhich. Even after asking the server if my order got put in. Â Then it took badgering by my buddy to two servers to find out where the hell my sandwhich was. Â In their defense, they comped the sandwhich, but...I seem to be on a service hellhole of some sort.
They do have good, cheap specials which is good, and they are a Chicago bar, and I got great service the other times I was there, so maybe an off night...anyway, I'm sure I'll continue going here because it just feels like a Chicago bar.
If your are a Chi-town fan of any sport this is your bar. Â Chicago swag all over this place along with several fans to go along with it.
Other than that this is a great little neighborhood pub. Â There is a great big bar and high top tables. Â They have a pool table which is always a great addition. Â The food looked and smelled good. Â I am scared to try the pizza because I have had several "Chicago" style pizzas since I left Chicago and I have hated them all. Â I might try Wymans someday....
Cozy little joint and a great staff. Â I'm a fan.
Wyman's is a great neighborhood bar. Â Lots of options on tap, a full bar for the non-beer drinkers, and they make a pretty good pizza.
If you get by there on a hot summer day, you can grab a cone from Lik's Ice Cream right next door, polish it off with a tall cold one, then get back to the day...
I keep trying to like Wyman's, because it's close to home and it's the most happening of the pubs that are close to home.
However, this latest experience has put me off once again. Â I got a to-go calzone and several drinks while it cooked. I ended up spending $40. Â Only to get home and have my order entirely wrong, and having to throw away the calzone and get delivery from somewhere else.
The bar staff was nice. The drinks were tasty. Â The meal was the most disgusting thing I've ever had.
Boo.
As a kid who grew up eating authentic Chicago style pizza I just need to say this place, while one of the closest things to it in Colorado that I've come across, has a long way to go. Â The pizza is really nothing to brag about. Â The crust is dry and very grainy while there are no stewed tomatoes (again, isn't this Chicago styled pizza) to be seen. Â One thing I have to say is that some people on yelp seem to complain about the 45 minute wait for pizzas. Â This is pretty typical of deep dish pizzas and I don't think it should be held against the restaurant. Â (Unos in Chicago takes a good hour to get your pizza to the table. Â These things are usually delicious beasts so it's to be expected)
I like the feel of the restaurant, it's nicely spread out and comfortable. Â Plus points for a billiards table.
Although I think the staff is genuinely friendly, I typically leave the place thinking they were understaffed (If I ever need something, even if I'm on the restaurant side of the place, I end up waiting and then getting up to find a staff person. Â Not too grand in my book).
This place used to be pretty good. However, it has gone down hill. The service is horrible. I don't just mean it takes a while(It is deep dish pizza) but that the staff is rude and the three times I have been there in the last 3 months they have screwed up my bill. Instead of just apologizing for the mistake and fixing it, they argue with you for ten minutes then bring over the manager to argue with you some more before finally fixing the problem.
Also, I am from the Chicago area. Just because you put up a couple Bears flags and serve Old Style does not make it a Chicago bar. The pizza is okay but it is not up to real Chicago Standards.
Give this place a pass!
GET SAUCED!!! -
I had a Scoutmob deal for this bar, so I decided my birthday was a good time to try this place out. Â The ambiance makes one feel as if they are at a watering hole near Soldier Field. Â I can see how during Bears Games it would be standing room only. Â The 30 minute wait for the deep dish pizza was well worth it! Â Flavorful and loaded with cheese, sauce, and toppings. Â If you don't like your pie drowning in sauce, you may want to ask them to dial it down a bit. Â Anyway, between two males with huge appetites we only finished half of a large. Â Great value for $20, we'll be eating pizza for the rest of the week. Â Bravo, Wyman's, I'll be back the next time I can afford to consume an entire days worth of calories in one setting...
Because of the poor service reviews, I've only done takeout. Â So this review is more about the pizza. Â
Born and raised in Chicago, I know and can fully appreciate Chicago-style deep dish. Â Wyman's misses the mark. Â Several months ago I tried the deep dish pizza here, and I wasn't impressed. Â I recently went back for another try, and I was again disappointed. Â This time we ordered the Big Pizzle. Â The crust is thick chewy bread, there was very little cheese, and the sauce was overpowering and way too salty. Â On the plus side, the meatballs on the pizza were tasty... actually, meatballs was the only topping I could taste besides salty tomato sauce and bread. Â We also ordered a Greek Salad, which was decent.
Maybe my expectations are too high. Â I've heard the altitude in Denver makes it impossible to produce a good deep dish. Â Or maybe that's just an excuse. Â Just try deep dish in Chicago and you'll understand my frustration. Â 2.5 stars with the Chicago sports theme.
While reading the reviews, I braced myself for a long wait and for bad service....
But we had great service!!! Â This little bar is right by my house so that's a plus already!
The menu is simple: sandwiches, salads, wraps, fries, but they have deep dish pizza!
I got the cheesy tater tots which were meh but the couple said the deep dish pizza was one of the best they had!
We were there for about 4 hours and our drinks were NEVER empty. Â The music is not so loud where you can't hold a conversation!
Will I be back? Heck yes! Â
Did I mention they had happy hour until 11?! Â what place does that on a Saturday night?
Wyman's use to be hit or miss. Now it is just miss. I have been here a few times, had great service and delicious food for not too much money, however, more times than not, it is a long wait and lack luster service.
Case and point - I was at Wyman's Thursday evening seated at the bar with a friend. We were having a few drinks and ordered a few appetizers. The service started out fine, but as the night went on the service dwindled (the bar did not get any busier). Perhaps the worst thing about Wyman's is the fact that they are inconsistent. As my friend and I were receiving bad service, the ladies seated next to us were getting the royal treatment. Truly for every 5 times the bartender would talk to them he would talk to us once. If you are going to have bad service, at least give it to everyone. Granted these girls were wasted and doing shots like crazy, but come on, don't let my empty glass sit on the bar for 15 minutes before you ask if I want another.
With all the awesome sports bars in this city, Wyman's can be one you skip.
Ever since my trip to Chi-Town a couple years back, I've been searching for a decent deep dish pizza all over CO. Â Unfortunately, there aren't many places. Â Thanks to Yelp, a friend and I decided to give "Wyman's No. 5" a try. Â
Their deep dish is maybe the best of all the places I've tried in CO. Â It's a different texture then what I expected. Â The crust almost reminds me of a pie crust or a biscuit. Â It was deep, but not that deep, too heavy to lift, need to eat with a fork, deep dish from Chicago. Â Haha, but overall, it was pretty tasty. Â
As of now, my favorite thing on their menu is their "Cheesy Tots." Â OMGGG...ammazzzingg! Â Total throw back to those special days back in elementary when I was able to get a hot lunch and all I ever wanted were tater-tots. Â
They have a pretty decent happy hour, lots of TV screens, and a pretty laxed, fun environment.
They're open until 2 AM almost day of the week with their reverse happy hour beginning at 10PM, I think. Â So if you've had a hard day, and want something fun and comforting, I suggest Wynman's for a draft beer and cheesy tots!
A few things you should know about Wyman's #5:
a) The tots are worth the wait.
b) Geeks Who Drink is Monday nights.
c) Wine and draft specials every day.
d) Did you know Wyman's was named after this particular neighborhood/historic district? (It starts in my alley.)
e) Big Buck Hunter.
f) Wi-fi.
g) Gooey deep dish pizza, and thin-crust too.
h) That is all for now.
It's rare in San Fran that you go to a bar and they serve exceptional bar food. There are a ton of bars that serve food, mind you. There are only a handful scattered that make you wanna return a second and third and even perhaps a twenty ninth time.
And maybe it was just fate, but some new friends I made in Denver happen to live near Wyman's. It's an average looking bar but the food was fan-freakin-tastic. One thing that took me by surprise was a Big Game Hunter machine in what looks to be the Nintendo Wii version. Of course, the inner coconut in me had to play it.
I had the Godfather pizza which was deep dish and had so many toppings, only voluptuous men like myself should order it. One guy had the calzone, which looked like a baby cow was shoved in. Others had 12" Â thin pizzas, which were tasty as well, and I had my fill of sampling them all.
Wyman's gets 4 stars because the bathroom writing in the wall said that I should convert to Buddhism, which I thought was kinda cocky. I wrote back "Stop tagging the walls" in black sharpie.
I've yet to see Denver capped in white, but when the day comes where I'm there on a snowy December evening, I can certainly see myself at Wyman's waiting out the weather.
Did you really just lure me in by telling me you have great Chicago Pizza and then serve me pizza toppings on Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust? Â You are so busted!
I don't know, there was just something about the crust on the deep dish and thin pizzas that we ordered that was just not right. Â It was too much like a dessert pie crust and not at all like a pizza pie crust as I was expecting. Â It was too flaky and not dense at all. Â The deep dish pie had plenty of cheese and toppings, but the thin crust was sparse. Â The pizza was just not what I was hoping for after reading numerous reviews. Â
The other thing that really bothered me was the service. Â Not to say that our server was necessarily bad, but the overall feel of the joint was one of annoyance with the customers. Â If looks could kill, we'd have been dead several times over from the icy glares our server gave us. Â And when we asked if one of the many TVs in the joint could be turned to the Olympics opening ceremonies, we were told that the only TV they could change would be the tiny tv in the corner because some folks were watching the NBA vs Celebrities basketball game on the big screens. Â Yes, a pro-am NBA game rates high enough that it gets 4 huge TVs, while the Olympics rates 1 small tv. Â
Some good things: Â The dice are a nice diversion, as are the other board games they keep on hand. Â It's a Chicagoan bar and they serve Old Style on tap, which I really like. Â The space is great - I like the mix of booths, tables, and bar space.
I could totally see myself here enjoying some Old Style and the Cubs on TV. Â I won't be ordering pizza, though.
Annnnd it looks like the trivia team is uprooting and heading back to the Snug on Tuesdays.
The servers here are always, for lack of a better word...busy...on Monday nights. Â Which is fine and understandable, trivia spans the length of more than two hours. Â The house is packed. Â We get it. Â Fortunately, we're not a terribly needy group of people.
Last night, boyfriend and I got here first to get a table, as we do, and get some food...it is 6:30 which is a reasonable time to eat dinner. Â With a bit of a struggle, we managed to flag someone down to get our drink orders in before 7. Â I don't think the girl in question normally works the Monday night trivia circuit as she aked us if we'd been there before and informed us we can order from anyone....which makes sense if someone came by. Â And no one did but her. Â So....she wins by default, no?
The other half of our team showed up....also hungry. Â But nobody came to our table...or our corner for that matter. Â Not even close enough to make eye contact.
Eventually, the boyfriend got up to find someone and alert them to our hungry presence in the corner. Â It was really the only way. Â We left our airhorns and traffic flares in the car. Â After a brief exchange which I was not present for (something along the lines of "can we get service in the corner?"...."well what do you want to order? Â We're kind of busy"), the surly lady who brought our drinks told him that she "didn't need the attitude."
Eventually we got the super sweet server, but we were already rather disgruntled. Â
We get the busy part. Â We get it. Â We're not idiots. Â And I'm sure we've all had our own stints in a service industry of some capacity...and it would have been understandable had girl-who-brought-our-drinks not been so downright mean about us wanting a person to come to our table and take a food and drink order.
They could really use a distinct sectioning off of sections/duties so neglected corner tables don't get passed off to someone else....and that someone else being unaware of it. Â Or another server maybe? Â Or just the common sense to be the least bit apologetic?
Sorry Wyman's...the boyfriend might miss your wings, but I have yet to find a menu item that is even slightly redeeming. Â I don't think I'll miss this place.
Why I gave it only 2 stars:
1. Self seating. We just looked dumb standing by the door.
2. The bf orders one of the specialty pizza w.out mushrooms. Even confirms with the waitress if that's okay. She said "yeah, of course"
3. 45 minutes later the deep dish arrives. Yes, you guessed it: Mushrooms.
4. The dough & crust tasted dry like flavorless flaky croutons.
5. Should be called deep dish pizza..not Chicago deep dish!
6. The white pizza oozed with olive oil
Why I gave it two stars
1. Once you sat, the service was fast & courtesy. They checked up on you a lot and we weren't seated at the bar
2. Drunkards singing at the bar
3. Very low key
4. Strange yet interesting decor
5. Recycled napkin dispensers
This is my new neighborhood hang and I'm pretty excited about it. Â After moving from CapHill, where I hung out at Park Tavern, I was in search of a similar experience.
Wyman's is more sophisticated, more pubby, and a bit more sports oriented. Â That being said, their happy hour deals are NOTHING like that of the PT. Â I like their booths and I've only had one meal there (a thin crust pizza, not amazing but also not their specialty) Â They've got a good beer selection and they are within stumbling distance of my new diggs. Soooooo victory!
Never had a Chicago style pizza at a pizza joint before, and was quite surprised about it; pies takes about 45 minutes, wings take about the same amount of time since they are smoked... This place is probably one of my favorite bars/pub/pizza joint, very laid-back and super friendly servers, they might be not fast but they are always on a great mood, most of their décor is wooden, pool table in the back of the bar, crowd ranges between high 20's to early 50's, nice flat screens to watch a football game, and great happy hours!
Food:
*Smoked & Roasted Chicken Wings: ordered half buffalo and half Jamaican jerk, it was really good! Great smoky flavors, juicy wings.
*Sausage Chicago style deep dish pizza: crust was crispy but not dry, a nice moisture feel to it, very cheesy, tons of sausage, and very saucy. One large pie is sliced in 8, and it easily feed 4 people.
According to my friends that were born and raised in Chicago, they said that it was a great pizza but not quite authentic, but much better than UNO's.
This place offers free wi-fi...
Ohhh Wyman's (or "Old Chicago" as my boyfriend calls it). We likey.
Yes, this is a Chicago bar. Or just Cubs maybe. Either way, we're Tiger's fans but we still like it here. The Chicago theme is definitely subtle. They even turned the Tiger's games on for us here during the baseball season.
Pizza is pretty yummy. Not what I'd choose if all options were laid in front of me, but good enough if you want to enjoy some beer specials and the cozy Wyman's atmosphere. We usually sit at the bar and the service is always super speedy.
The Ladyfriend and I (along with a few others from our Coed Volleyball team) went here after a recent game at the Cheese as prompted by the http://playcoed.com staff. Â Wymans #5 is the sponsor bar for our league, apparently, and there were beer specials and some other things happening, so we thought, why not check it out. Â Free beer!
Though we only sipped on Coronas, and didn't get to see how any of the draughts were poured, we did order some pizza which was wonderful. Â The lady and I ordered the Guido, which is ham salami and pepperoni and onions and fresh basil (cheese and sauce of course) on a "thin crust". Â I use beloved quotes because when they say thin crust, they don't actually mean thin crust (Thank the pizza gods!) Anyone who follows my reviews knows that I cannot stand thin crust pizza, it's a waste of a pizza. Â If I wanted pizza toppings on a cracker, I'd put pizza toppings on a cracker. Thin crust pizza is worthless. If you aren't eating deep dish, or even just a pan pizza, you are completely missing the wonders of pizza.
I digress. Â The guido was wonderful, and our teammate M got a deep dish white pizza with approximately 400lbs of mozzarella. Â That's an accurate number. It was also delicious. That's an accurate adjective.
They also had several flat panel HD televisions scattered about the bar, so I feel like it has to be good for a sports bar. Â **Note** This place is a Cubs bar, so....well make any jokes you like. But it explains the great pizza.
Service was friendly (I've never been thanked for coming to a bar 6 times on the way out) and I wish I lived closer so I could go back more often. Â Seems like a great watering hole with decent prices (HH looked solid) and good food, good crowd, and a good staff.
I'll be back at some point, I'm sure. Maybe see you there!
Yuuuuuuuuuup, that was me...
That Chargers fan in the LaDainian Tomlinson Pro Bowl jersey sitting, screaming, standing, yelling, jumping, chanting at the bar playing Uno with the bartender while watching the Wild Card Playoff game that you kept throwing eye daggers at all night long while I enjoyed some good drinks and pizza rolls - damn, were they d-lish!
I apologize for not being home in San Diego to watch the Chargers-Colts playoff game, but I thank you for not killing me when I left that evening =)
Third update: DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT ORDERING THE THIN CRUST - GO GET A DIGIORNO. You will be much more satisfied. Or, just order the deep dish. Seriously!
I have to give my second pie update. Everything stands from my first. This time, we got tomato, roasted garlic, spinach and added some fresh basil when we got home.
Again, we had to heat up the pizza stone to even be able to hold this with one hand. The tin foil on the bottom of the box just doesn't give the pizza the breathing room it needs.
Also, there was less sauce on top this time and it was more like a regular pizza with well made Chicago style crust.
I am going to have to order extra cheese and sauce that traditional home replicated need.
Again, the staff here is friendly and always smiling. They are slowly going to make me a regular. Let's just get this pie up to par.
I came here specifically for Geeks Who Drink with my fellow Yelpers and probably would have no draw to come here otherwise. Now that is only because it's the type of place you just happen upon, especially if you are not familiar with the town, which I'm not. So you probably wouldn't even knew it existed, I knew I didn't.
(Wow that was poorly written...)
The place isn't the easiest to find at night. There are neon signs everywhere for this and that beer, but the bar's sign wasn't lit up so you didn't know if you were at the right place or not. Could be a bit of a pain for those who have never been there before. The place itself seemed a little small, but that's probably because I never ventured over to the other side of the bar. Everyone were on the side with the entrance and so that's where I stayed, but for GWD, I think it would be more be more beneficial to sit on the other side as it's closer to the action of the game. We shall see next time we go there for more trivia.
I didn't order any food, so I cannot comment on that, but I did have myself a couple of Guinnesses. They tasted great as they typically do. The inside of the place was cool enough to have a few and not fill like you've just ate a huge meal. After three I was ready to switch my drink to Black And Tans, but found out that they don't have Bass there! Really? No Bass you say?
*looks at the wall in front of him where a piece of Bass art was hanging on the wall*
Interesting.
I didn't care for any of the beers they use to make them there, so I had more Guinness instead. I could have tried for a Half And Half, but I decided not to ask just in case they didn't have Harp either.
The place was pretty noisy, but not in one of those ways were your annoyed and rather move on to someplace a little less crowded. It made the whole game more fun even though the team I was on ended up 10th place in the end. I didn't mind too much, I was having a great time with all the new people I met that night. It's a bar worth revisiting for some drinks and I want to try their pizza next time I come as well.
Truth be told I had been here before landing in 10th place at Geeks Who Drink trivia night, but I really felt as if it was my first time.
Had some yummy pizza. Garlic chicken with lots of garlic cloves. MMMmm. It was the perfect vampire deterrent. Also had plenty for lunch the next day. I also enjoyed a spinach side salad. It is unusual to have a spinach salad as an option for a side salad. I was stoked. It had egg quarters and crispy chewy bacon. Good times.
Even though the place was jamming the service was awesome and someone was always nearby to fill my drink.
I really dug hanging out here and would love to drop in some other time. Although next time I am saving room for Liks next door.
You know when you walk into Old Chicago's and you realize they are trying to acheive some level of ambience and fail terribly at it? Â Well, Wyman's succeeds in a really nice way. Â It's pub-style, cozy, and relaxed without feeling cheesy or knock-off at all.
Oh, and they do pizza really well. Â I've had the thin crust, white sause pizza and it was very well done. Â Not to big, not too cheesy (I'm not the biggest cheese person) and not too greasy. Â I ate all of it and didn't feel like I had over-eaten dramatically. Â
Oh and when the Cubs games are on, you can get cans of Old Style beer for like $1.50... Rad.
Great place to chill with friends. The nachos were heavy... and by heavy I mean loaded with cheese and other really disgusting stuff that only tastes so good on warm chips. They don't have Stella on tap, but at least they have Stella. I was happy.
The waitstaff/ bar team was amazing - all smiles and overly helpful. Â I honestly couldn' believe I'd never been here before.
The audio on the Geeks/Drink Trivia was all over the place, but great effort and super fun for everyone.
Oh, and the bathroom was clean...bonus!
I used to go to Wymans when it was just a tiny little bar next to Licks. We would go pretty much every night and i mean every night. I'm not sure if they have a happy hour but they have decent prices and they have a different twist on bar food. Mostly pizzas and some panini's. They have the best bartenders in town too. Peas Out.
Oh and you can play Wii here too. I said you can play Wii AT THE BAR!! Awesome
