Yummy House

First, the positive, the breaded and deep fried (orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken etc.) Chinese food is indeed yummy.  The chicken lo mein is also quite good.  The portions are also very large and definitely splitable.  Their prices are great as well.  This place claims to use healthier cooking methods for their non deep fried foods.  The chicken and broccoli was allright - kind of bland, but I guess that's what you get for healthier Chinese food.  The owner is very friendly and accommodating (and has been known to throw in free food).
Now, the not so positive.  This place also claims to serve Thai and Vietnamese food.  While I have not tried the Vietnamese food here, I would definitely not recommend the Thai food.  The Pad See Eww noodles lacked sweetness and the right texture.  The noodles were stuck together and were rather salty instead.

My favorite Chinese place closed after 20 years of my loyalty. I have tried a couple of other area places to fill the void. I think I found it at Yummy House. Wide menu, fair prices, nice owners, and the KIDS LOVE IT. This is based on one visit, with a limited order. Pot stickers (pan fried) and Chicken fried rice---very good. I can see this as a regular for the family.

Not yummy. Nope.  Just too average.
Something about the flavor of the dishes, it just doesn't keep your taste buds. Not very attractive, just bland.
Combo's come with chicken fried rice and they pile on the chicken. Of the two dishes we'd ordered, there was an abundance of meat.  General Tso's Chicken & Garlic Sauce combo.  The best was General Tso's Chicken. I'd requested everything spicy, nothing was made spicy. I couldn't taste any trace of spicy.
Egg rolls are ok and filling. Crab rangoons just ok. (IF you know what great rangoons are, you may not like these)
They've got a great students menu with daily deals and a dollar menu, which is pretty unique for a fast food chinese place.
