It's been a stalwart diner in Denver for years and is still OK - needs to think about revamping a little their dishes...nice old school approach but nothing out of the ordinary...should be a classic "must go" place and could be but maybe the owners have had it too long and are happy with the status quo...

Zaidy's Deli is a run-of-the-mill deli/coffee shop located in Cherry Creek.  The food is mediocre with service to match.  They don't really check on you after you order, so forget about getting your coffee refilled.

I ordered the corned beef hash, which was decent, but nothing special.

What can I say, I am a sucker for a good Jewish deli. The Latke Reuben and Desayuno Fuerte are my favorite dishes on the menu. They also serve Dr. Brown's soda, which is a huge plus in my book. Waitstaff has always been super friendly and really accommodating of my finicky toddler. The only problem with Zaidy's is, I wish it was closer to my house!

I'm sorry, Zaidy's, for bothering you by coming in for a late breakfast today.

I came in, there was a party of 6 in front of me who took up the entire entry without bothering to move out of the way.  After 5-6 minutes, and several people behind me, I excused myself through them to the cash register.  "Party of 2?"  No, just one.  There were several(at least 4) two-tops available, which the staff was happy to leave unoccupied unless you were motivated enough to push your way through the family of 6.

I was seated, ordered my food (desayuna fuerte) which came out quickly, albeit a little smaller than I remember.  It tasted great, but I was only halfway through my plate when my waitress left my check on the table.  BIG NO-NO, as far as I'm concerned.  Let me finish eating before you rush me out.  Plus, I wanted to order a macaroon, but since the waitress never showed her face again, that was not an option.

I went to the bathroom before I paid my bill.  The Ladies' Room was disgusting.  Water leaking out on the floor, over-flowing trash can, paper towels on the vanity, one soap dispenser empty.  If this is what the public sees, then what does the kitchen look like?

I went to pay, and asked the hostess as I handed her my card, "do you take Discover?"  She didn't even look at me, just ran the card...apparently, yes they do.  I told her that the Ladies' Room needed attention, and she nodded and smiled.  I then asked to speak to a manager.  She got him (I think it was the owner).

He was much too distracted to hear my complaint about the Ladies' Room, nor did he care that my waitress brought the check before I was done.  He never looked at me as his eyes roamed all over the place.  He said he was sorry, but that they are really busy.  I guess that customer service doesn't matter when you're busy, and providing a clean bathroom is out of the question.

No worries, I won't be back!  The food was great, but I can go a lot of places and get a good breakfast without feeling inconvenient to the staff.

I would not know what the food tastes like but I will say their service is top notch.  I live in New York City and wanted to send a special person a Valentine's gift.  She loves NYC Kanishes and Zaidy's is the only spot in the city you can get them.  So I called them up and set up a delivery.  However, when she arrived home she walked through her garage and not the front door.  When she told me she never got the delivery I contacted Zaidy's.  They went out of their way to double check the order and contact her to see if they would need to redeliver the order.  The delivery was on the front step and when she went to the front it was waiting for her.  I am picky when it comes to service and these folks brought a smile to my face.  I plan to come out to Denver in March and will stop by to try the food.  I will compare to a NYC Deli and update you in what I think.  But I will never down grade this review because their service to me was "As good as it gets!".

Awesome deli.  I'm a sucker for rueben sandwiches and they have a good one here.  They even have a potato latke rueben.  Quick and friendly service, especially during their busy lunch rush.  Only negative I find is the parking situation.

It was the morning after and I was ravenous, famished, hungrrry!  I wanted, strike that, needed breakfast. It had to happen fast. I needed a place with no wait. It needed to be a quickie. Exactly 70 seconds from my garage to the front door, hmmm...think, think...aha Zaidy's.

Mercifully, the place was nearly deserted on a Sunday morning as I expected and we were seated right away in one of the booths along the far wall of the restaurant.  So far so good. There was one large group seated right next to us, a group of codgers who were obviously gathering here since they first started receiving their Social Security checks.  They didn't bother us or vice versa.

Zaidy's is ostensibly a Jewish deli, but I know better, I've had better.  The thing you need to know about Zaidy's is that it does not hold a candle, or 7 or 9, to similar places I became familiar with in Cleveland, Philadelphia, or New York. It's just not the same. But, for this particular morning it was exactly what I required.

I ordered eggs, scrambled, with salami and onions ($8.50) - obviously I wasn't at all worried about my breath. I also got to choose between toast or a bagel with my order. I chose a sesame bagel. Oh and COFFEE, lots of coffee.

The coffee arrived promptly, in a large pot. It was more than lukewarm but not quite hot enough for me. Maybe the nice folks at Zaidy's think that having access to a large pot of coffee right at the table makes up for that, I don't, since I like my coffee at a temperature just below tongue scalding.

The food came out really quickly and I will say that I was quite pleased to see that there was a mound of potatoes the size of Mt. Evans on my plate. Thank you to the carb gods. I dig in, well shovel is probably more like it, and am pleased that my eggs are scrambled soft, the salami salty, and the onions stinky. I ate the whole thing.

The food wasn't the best I've ever had or the service the most solicitous, there definitely weren't any hipsters to give their seal of approval, and there weren't any cutesy menu descriptions (Lox Ness Benny, Oy!)  but on this day this is exactly what I needed. There are times when you just want to get in and get out.  Zaidy's satisfied that need.

My boyfriend is from New Jersey and is really picky about his delis.  He loved this place as much as I do.  They have really great east coast style food.  I ordered the latke lox and it was practically a whole smoked salmon sanwiched between two latkes, smothered in cream chesse and capers.  Delicious.  I will definitely be back, but not too often or I'll be busting out of my jeans.

We were looking for a quick place for breakfast on Sunday morning, looking for basics, eggs, bacon, potato's - what we all crave in the morning after a bottle of wine the night before (let's be honest).

The breakfast menu is a pretty decent size and has some great Jewish diner options, latkes with applesauce and sour cream, corned beef hash and the like.

I decided on the classic breakfast, two sunny side up eggs, bacon, potato's and a small glass of orange juice.  My companion had the salami egg scramble with potato's.  Portions here are huge, and I promise you will not go away hungry.  The sheer amount of potato's is astounding - if you need to carbo load this is the place for you.  My eggs were cooked the way I wanted, massive amount of crispy potato's with a few onions mixed in and three slices of crispy salty bacon.  Everything a girl wants on a hungry Sunday morning.  My companion devoured his breakfast as well.

Classic Jewish Diner feel, service is not amazing, food is exactly what you want from a Diner and you leave full and happy.  No lines, good food, and great company if you decide to bring some.  Clearly a place for the regulars.

    Two words "Latke Reuben"

A plate of reuben stacked between two potato pancakes! Its heavenly. If you have one of those epic hangovers, make the trek to Cherry Creek and enjoy a Latke Reuben. After you wake up from the inevitable siesta you'll be forced into, you'll be well on your way to kicking the hangover.

Great old time diner feel. Lots of old pictures and decor. You can buy bulk deli foods to take to a gathering. The staff is great, they've probably all worked there for 10 years.

    4 stars!

My son, father-in-law and I ate there yesterday for the first time.  My father-in-law is from Long Island and loves New York/Jewish style deli's.  We started with the pickles  which he said "I haven't had one like these since I've been in NY."  We each got sandwiches for our meals.  Each was good but not as big as some of the places we've been to.  They were just the right size (some places have HUGE portions.)  I had the Kentucky Butter cake for dessert.  It was SOOO good.  My son had a lemon bar, and father-in-law had the rice pudding, and  each of them liked theirs.
Overall I enjoyed my meal.  The service was a little weak.  I had to flag down someone to ask for a water refill.  However, everyone was friendly.

Had a hot corned beef sandwich that was pretty good, but the bread got soggy quickly.  The reason I am only leaving two stars is due to the service I received from the man who bagged my to go order.  When I asked for mustard, he said there were two packets in the bag already.  I asked for 4 more packets (I LOVE mustard) and he gave me attitude.  When I pay $10 for a corned beef sandwich, I don't expect the establishment to be cheap about providing mustard packets!  Not sure I'll return given the crappy service I received.

Terrible and way overpriced, at least for breakfast. Their muffins are dense and bland, their cinnamon rolls are dry and their bagels are stale. Strike three...

Every time I see Zaidy's I want to sing Sexy Sadie, pretty lady, you are the one I adore. And I adore kosher and Jewish style cooking. The husband and I stopped in on our quest to visit the places of our dating years. I really wanted latkes, however, when our wonderful server described the daily special of beef brisket piled high on a bun with a side and added it was really good, we closed our menus and said, "Sold". That sandwich made two huge meals for me and both were equally good.

Even if you are not in the mood for a meal, stop in for a baked good as they are wonderful.

Zaidy's still sexy after all these years.

Looking to try a new breakfast joint, I came here with minimum expectations.  I had the corned beef hash with over easy eggs and wheat toast and some coffee.  Their option menu for breakfast is limited.  You have a variety of lox dishes and the typical pancakes or french toast.  They also offered one very basic breakfast burrito.  Corned beef hash was the closest thing to a normal breakfast option.  To me anyway.

The coffee was your basic Maxwell House type coffee.  It was drinkable. My meal was a disappointment however.  It was really dry and bland.  No amount of ketchup made it better.  I got through four bites before running out of egg yolks and had to stop.  I tried adding some salt and pepper, but it didn't help.  Our waitress was nice and she did her best to bring out our food in a timely manner.  Despite this, I don't believe I'll be back.

Oy Vey the Portions! Huge. I had met a friend here for breakfast one morning, and loved it. The menu has choices that reminded me of the best of any LA deli, and the service rocked.

I ordered a Breakfast Burrito because somehow I rationalized that it wasn't as bad for me as a salami omelette or lox n eggs an onions, or the like. Pffft. It's all the same.

But delicious. And I'll be back.

I went to Zaidy's and neglected to order anything kosher or Jewish. Yes, I'm here to admit that I went to Zaidy's and ordered a cheeseburger with fries. But, you know what? It was a damn good cheeseburger, with even better fries, and I'm pregnant so they say I can eat however I want.

I like Zaidy's. I like the old diner feel with the green furniture. I like that I think my waitress should be popping gum. I like their baked goods section. I like that I can get breakfast until 3 PM. I like that when I was there a little old couple who were clearly regulars knew everyone by name and she drank 4 glasses of wine over a 2 hour lunch. (In fact, I may aspire to be this lady later on in life.) I also like that the fries are fresh cut and most delicious. And last but not least I like that they offer Dr. Brown's sodas. In a world where I can mostly get Sprite or water it's nice to have non-caffeinated choices.

I don't know authentic Jewish delis from my own refrigerator so if that's what you're looking for you should check out the other reviews. But, I do know things that I enjoy eating and places I enjoy doing so and Zaidy's is one of those places when it comes to lunch.

This rating is solely for their delivery -I'm sure eating in is a better experience.

We ordered the Desayuno Fuerte and the BLTA with cheese. It showed up quickly enough, but the egg dish was much smaller than expected - it would have fit into a small to-go box rather than the large one it came in and I have a thing about unnecessary styrofoam. Zaidy's is only a few blocks from our house but the eggs were already gluey, the toast was blackened on one side and completely charred on the other. The sandwich was in better shape but only had a single thin slice of avocado in the middle and one piece of bacon. Now, I don't need an overstuffed sandwich by any means, but that seemed a little sparse.

We've ordered lunch from here before and the sandwiches were better, but for breakfast I would say don't bother.

You know, I don't get it.  I know there are businesses that keep on kicking and become historical landmarks despite everything and I kind of feel like this is one of those places.

I've been here several times and, quite frankly, I'm always underwhelmed and over bloated after I eat here. I guess if you had a hangover, this would cure what ails you, but if your going for any other reason, be prepared for the grease sweats and lethargy after your meal.

The servers are always friendly and I take no issue with them, I'm just really "meh" about this place.

I honestly don't understand why it's still around.

The only good item they offer is their black and white cookies.  And they don't even bake them.

Garbage food.  One of worst tasting Jewish style delis I've experienced.

    Pass on this place.

I went here for breakfast on Friday. I had some coffee and my husband and I split the sour cream coffee cake and cheese blintz with blueberry preserves.
The coffee was good. The sour cream coffee cake was excellent. I am not sure what type of flour they use but it makes the cake very crumbly. It has walnuts and lots of cinnamon. Really delicious and they heat it up making it even better. The cheese blintz had great flavor but the cheese filling consistency was just like cottage cheese making it a different consistency than I have experienced with blintz before. I do not think I would order that again since the consistency put me off. They leave the coffee carafe at the table allowing you to refill your coffee as you wish something I love. Just a note they do not have Splenda only Equal, Sweet and Low or regular sugar.

The server was really polite and attentive. It reminds me of a New York deli but with more seating space. The decor is a bit old everything is dark wood and forest green and the cushion in the booth I sat in has been really worn out. Everything was clean but had a bit of wear and tear. I like the "feel" of the restaurant though, similar to a family diner. They have gorgeous black and white photographs of people and old Denver all over the walls. We got here when they weren't very busy but by the time we left they filled up. Unfortunately so did the very small parking lot and since someone decided to park as they pleased and not in a spot it took a lot of maneuvering to get out of the lot. There is street parking available if you find yourself not being able to find a spot in the lot.

Overall they are getting 3 stars instead of 2 because I really enjoyed the coffee cake. Looking forward to trying other baked goods from here.

Breakfast is the most sacred meal of the day in my household, and on this particular Sunday morning, we were stumped for a new joint to try out. After scouring faithful Yelp for nearby suggestions, I saw the words "Jewish deli" listed under a recommendation for Zaidy's Deli, and demanded that we give it a shot.

As soon as I stepped foot in this wonderful New York style eatery, I had a giant grin on my face. A recent transplant from Florida, I have been missing my darling Jewish culture - and this place is oozing with it.

Knishes blew kisses at me from the deli displays, thick cheesecakes and pumpkin pies posed from behind glass, and waitresses bustled by with heavy plates filled with latkes - holy mother of bagels, yes!

Taunted by my companions for my blatant approval of this place purely based on the overwhelming amount of Jew in the air, I scoured the menu suggesting all the best Jewfood - pastrami sandwiches, matzoh ball soup, spinach knishes, sweet kugel, you name it.

Our waitress was great, and you could tell that the other ladies were equally full of that wonderful Jewish sass. The restaurant had that busy, lively, dimly lit yet full of excitement vibe that you just can't fake.

I ordered the day's special, a brisket hash, while my counterparts opted for a bowl of house chili, and a turkey club with fries. We sat in silence when our plates first arrived, transfixed by the delicious meals in front of us. A picky meat eater, I found my brisket to be outstanding. The potato hash had a great consistency, and my everything bagel with cream cheese hit the spot.

On my way out, I had to snag myself a black & white cookie, and treated myself to an additional treat with an oatmeal raisin cookie. Both brought me back to the feeling I get at my favorite Jewish deli in Miami, and it was wonderful to feel like home. Thank you Zaidy's!

I'd never heard of Zaidy's before, but my FIL suggested it as we wound down a day in Denver.  A Jewish Deli - sure, why the hell not?  What a throwback feel Zaidy's had, this place could be anywhere in NYC.  Amazing black and white photographs of Denver and its residents line the walls.  Service is not overly attentive which was perfect for conversation at our table.

The Reuben!  I'm pretty sure this was the best I've ever had.  You can have it with your choice of roast beef, pastrami or turkey.  I expertly chose the pastrami.  Thick slices of pastrami on rye with sauerkraut, Russian dressing, red onion and Swiss cheese.  Yummmmmm!  I'm practically drooling thinking about it.  Dang.

$10.99 for a sandwich with fries is a tad steep I had thought when I ordered, but once I tasted that masterpiece the price was no longer a concern.

OH!  Get a piece of the carrot cake to share.  $3.50 for a piece that's big enough for 4 to split up.

Last Sunday morning the hubby and I decided to have breakfast in bed so we dialed up Zaidy's. They begin delivering after 8 AM and were happy to take our order early. For the hubby: blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon and for me bagel , cream cheese and lox hold the veggies - that was my mistake...

The food came pretty fast and I couldn't wait to have my bagel with cream cheese and lox. Well unfortunately they forgot the cream cheese which I guess they considered a veggie? So I called up to tell them and the woman who answered said ok... so I asked very nicely if they would mind sending some cream cheese my way - she sighed and said ok. I understand it was a busy Sunday morning and I even felt a little bad asking but with all of that delish lox staring at me I was jonesing for that cc!

Around a half and hour later the cream cheese arrived with a fresh bagel and an apology from the delivery guy. The hubby had long eaten his pancakes but did share his bacon with me. I enjoyed my bagel and there was a very generous portion of salmon.

We used to live within walking distance of Zaidy's and have had hit or miss meals here. I recommend going early for breakfast - which has been the most consistent meal - and don't forget to ask for your potatoes to be crispy.

Look.  Here's what you order at Zaidy's.

These are two of the 100% guaranteed-you-will-be-satisfied-or-your -money-back choices.

    Breakfast:  Fried Egg Sandwich.
Smokehouse bacon, swiss, lettuce, tom, red onion, mayo.  Better than the sum of it's parts.  Every time I order it, even the waitresses go..."oh yeah, yum. good choice."

    Lunch: #1 Combination Sandwich.
Corned Beef, Pastrami, Coleslaw, Swiss, with Russian dressing on Rye.  Much like the "Jersey Sloppy Joe" which is, i.m.o., the best sandwich in the world when executed properly.  This is good. Not cheap for a sando but it is worth it.

Ok, so I couldn't make a Denver Ethnic Food list and not talk about Zaidy's.  This Delicatessen has offered for years everything a growing Jewish/Gentile boy or girl could ask for.

The matzoh ball soup = to die for.  Pastrami is killer.  Latkes are amazing, and with a fantastic fruit or berry spread.  Zaidy's also provides a full breakfast menu, and many "Colorady style" dishes to compliment the plethora of classic New York and old world options.

Just remember that Zaidy's is not a hidden gem, so it can get busy.

A friend took me to Zaidy's years ago and I love it as much now as always. My favorite thing to get is the cheese blintzes with cherry topping.
    Also the challa french toast.

I love that the restaurant is filled with regulars and the old school atmosphere.

The black and white cookies are approved ;) by my NYC relatives.

Parking can get tight - but that's Cherry Creek for ya.

    Disappointed.

I moved here last summer from Boston (not NY for Jewish deli's, but it's got a few), and since then I've been craving whitefish and lox.  I finally found Zaidy's, and I've been twice in the last two weekends.  Why twice?

The first time it was closer to noon and I sat at the bar. Service is what I would expect for sitting at a bar.  Adequate.  Not friendly, but fine.  I appreciated the pickle platter before ordering.  I had the lox on a bagel, which was not bad.  Really, the only complaint I had was that the capers were spread all over the vegetable plate so I couldn't actually get them easily onto my cream-cheesed bagel before applying everything else.  It would help to have them in a separate small container.  Other than that, large amount of vegetable additions, good lox.  If I wrote my review at that point, I would have given them a 3 or 4, missing stars for less-than-friendly service and dingy atmosphere (which in some ways appeals to me from my Boston Jewish deli experience).

This morning was different though.  I sat and ordered some coffee.  First complaint - "Zaidy's Blend coffee" is awful!  Weak, dirty tasting coffee.  As someone who looks forward to each day's first cup of coffee, that wiped the smile from my face.  It's ok, I can get over that.

I ordered the whitefish salad on a bagel this time.  This is mediocre whitefish at best.  They still give you a lot of additions, which is good (same caper problem).

Though the food was not great and the coffee was terrible, I think the biggest strike is still the service.  You just get the feeling that they want you out of there.  They're fast, definitely.  I echo some of the other reviews mentioning that any requests are met with annoyance.  And I don't really ask for much.

So, in summation, I'm still looking for a good place for whitefish and lox.

I think one of the reasons for some low reviews is that Zaidy's had a downtown 'fusion' place that closed, for good reason, it was lousy.

However! The Cherry Creek location is still open and fabulous! I've been coming here for breakfast and lunch almost since it opened and it has always been great. It is now open for dinner, but I've not been as yet.

The emphasis is on Jewish Deli food, but they have a few Mexican items which, to be honest, I've never tried.

The breakfasts are terrific. I have friends who get meta-physical over the potatoes, and they are good. They have some pretty original stuff, like the Reuben Omelet with Pastrami, Sauerkraut, and Swiss Cheese and much more traditional stuff like Lox and Eggs, Salami and Eggs, etc.

The sandwiches are big and tasty. The soups are very good. Service is always friendly even when they are busy, which is most of the time. I've used the take-out and the Deli case from time to time and always been happy.

Zaidy's has the feel of a neighborhood deli despite the frantic location. Highly recommended.

The Carnegie this place is not.  If you are hoping to find an east coast style kosher deli, you will be disappointed.

That said, Zaidy's is not bad either.  Their breakfasts are pretty traditional Jewish deli and are cooked perfectly for my tastes.

Their sandwiches are average at best.  The corned beef is good, but when I get a sammie at a kosher deli, i expect A LOT more meat on the sammie for these prices.  The chopped liver is pretty good, just a little bit dry.  My favorite kosher deli sandwich is corned beef and chopped liver on rye.  I ordered one yesterday, and the bread got so soggy that when I picked up the second half of the sandwich, the bread dissolved.  Drain your meats a little better!  They also have bottles of Gulden's mustard on the tables for your sandwich.  Way wrong!  Get some better mustards guys.

Zaidy's makes it, but they do not make it well.  Yes they have good pickles, but they are extremely cheap with them and will bring you a large plate with two small pickles and a small bowl of kraut for two people.  Where is the bowl of pickles?  No green tomatoes?

If you are in the area and looking for some kosher deli to tide you over, you will neither be impressed nor disappointed.  If you are looking for a true east coast style kosher deli though, you will be highly disappointed.

We've been going out for a long time and it's always a fun date but I'm not ready to tie the knot just yet.  There have been some magical moments for sure, but, also, a few that weren't all that special.

There is a lot to love here.  They stack on the food like your Bubby.  No one has ever left here hungry except on purpose.  It's a great all purpose Jewish (non-Kosher) deli - only open for breakfast and lunch (and maybe dinner sometimes but I'm not sure anymore).  I understand breakfast is very good (and they serve it until 3 p.m.) but I never arrive before lunch and all that deli meat and fish starts calling my name.  You can view all their menus on line if you want to shop ahead.  Prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

So, here's what I like.  I could make a meal off the half sour pickles, sauerkraut and pletzels that come upfront, but save your self.   I always start with soup - chicken with matzo balls, kreplach, or mushroom barley (I like to switch hit.)  If I have given up all hope on the diet du jour, I go for the Reuben on latkes, how could you not?  Their sandwiches are all terrific though, and such a deal, even the monster combos are only $11 (and, certainly enough for two).  Point off for charging a split plate fee - grrr.  Maybe some smoked fish on a bagel?  Or, a salad I suppose, but really, is that why you come to a Jewish deli?  If you really want to get ethnic they have kugel (sweet or savory), knish, blintzes, matzo brei and the aforementioned latkes (with applesauce and sour cream).

If you have room there is a big case of homemade cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, and all manner of other temptations which you must pass entering and leaving - good luck.

The star off (really just half a star if I could) is for frequently brusque service and the truly crappy parking lot.  Other than that,  NOSH on my brothers and sisters.

Stereotypical deli - and I mean that in a good way. Fast, good service; funny waitress.
I had the Reuban with my choice of meat. Love that!
Thousand island on the side. Love that!
Choice of fries, slaw or salad. Love that!
Off the beaten path of the regular cherry creek bourgeouise restaurants. Love that!
The menu was extensive, and when you have a group of people who all want something different - it's quite convenient.
Small little patio, if you like sitting in the parking lot.
I was impressed with the food and can't wait to go back.

This place really speaks to my soul...a soul that digs challah, kosher salami, everything bagels, and melty reubens.

These people know their business. Every waitress here (come to think of it...I don't think I've ever seen a "dude" waiter here) is a professional...its as if they have been waiting for decades, and they know their stuff.

I usually get the one or two egg breakfast with an everything bagel, kosher salami, and the potatoes: tasty diner decadence! I would also recommend the challah french toast, but you most likely won't finish it unless you haven't eaten in 10 or more hours.

Coffee flows like the Colorado River, as they give you your own mini-pot of it. Water is always filled before it is an issue, and they give you your check when they bring the food. You pay up front, but there's no rush here. Like most of the patrons, I love to linger over my coffee, and contemplate life in general over my everything bagel with cream cheese. Its a perfect way to spend a late Sunday morning, where you can throw out ideas on how to spend the rest of your day.

The decor is darker wood, with old photographs of Jewish families on the walls. It is incredibly charming, and there's no need to get fancied up in this joint.

I dare you to resist the rugelach, banana breads, pastries, and giant cakes that smack you in the face as you enter! I once saw a strawberry cake in a glass holder that I wanted to run away with forever. WARNING: You may become overwhelmed with pangs for sweet goods as you walk by the display cases.

Sweet Jesus. Go immediately and try their lemon bar. Be warned: It's the size of your head and can be wielded as a weapon if necessary.

    The parking still sucks.

If you could kiss a Deli square on the mouth I would smooch Zaidy's Deli.

I love this place and have for years and years. My mom who visits from Florida regularly will not depart the state of Colorado without a Reuben from Zaidy's. I love taking her here because I know she'll be happy.

OK. Where to start...I know the BEGINNING ! Okay the parking lot blows. It majorly bites, it is too small, and crowded and you need a engineers license to maneuver in and out. This is why I gave 4 stars.

Once you make it inside things get sooo much better. The place is cute and quaint and really exudes Deli vibes. Very authentic. It's noisy and full of people talking and running into folks they know. The service is up to snuff and then some and again they treat my kids like PEOPLE not little nuisances needing lunch. I really dig it when people engage them as individuals. The whole "feel" here makes it seem you couldn't possibly belong anywhere else.

OK, now the food. The pickles come, and if my kids are with me, gone almost instantly. The pickle presenter is kept very busy. The fries are super fantastic and actually taste like potatoes and not crud. The corned beef is huge as are all their sandwiches. Eating at Zaidy's requires a big mouth and I feel I do well in this department. No half ass bites for this girl. OK I already mentioned the Reuben, and the soups and potato lakes are delish as well. But the real humdinger in my opinion is the TURKEY APPLE BACON MELT !!! HOT DAMN !!! It has thick turkey, bacon, melted Swiss and thinly sliced grilled apples with some sort of hot, mustardy, caramel bliss dripping down all sides. I get it almost every dang time and am always shocked at just how much one can adore an item off a menu. How stupid of me!

The cold Dr. Browns they offer...who doesn't love a Dr. Brown's ? I can't think of anyone. Cold beers to wash down my lunch? Sure, Thanks! So a cream soda for my babies, a Heineken for mama, sandwiches for everyone and all is right with the world. Thanks Zaidy's !

I used to eat lunch here alot when I worked at the Cherry Creek Mall.  I liked it, but I've had better.  The service is ok, but most of the time we ordered take-out.  The wait staff seem to have little patience, but I'm sure it has something to do with the line going practicaly out the door everytime we went.
My two favorite items to order were the Fried Egg Sandwich, which consists of BACON, onion, tomato, lettuce, mayo on a kaiser roll.  This is a really good sandwich.  Also, the Egg White Omelete, which has spinach, mushroom and tomato.  Each is served with Zaidy potatoes, made with onions.  A good potato and onion combination is always a winner in my book...I just wish they were seasoned a little more.  They are very bland.
Either way, I do recommend this place.  For the most part, the food is good, and the service is ok.

Smylpurty gives Zaidy's Deli a green light.

You're not in NYC but you might not know that from the food.

First off, this is one of the few places I have found outside of NYC where I can buy a can of Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray soda.  That's right, celery soda.  I love it and I would gladly kill for it.  This place has it...thats almost enough for me.

Second, I trust a deli when I sit down and the first things they bring out are water and a plate of coleslaw with pickles on it.  This reminds me of my youth and going to Delis with my parents.

The food here can be abundant, especially their Latke Reuben.  This is at least 2-3 meals (for me, that is saying a LOT!!) and should not be ordered by the feint of heart.

Sure, some of the staff doesn't speak great english, the wait staff can be curt and they don't have a normal knish but you should still check this place out.  The food should let you know why.
