I want to like this place better i really do. But i have some issues.
Their was a $5 cover charge. Ok not bad. We get in and there are like 30-40 people inside MAX. It was empty. Crazy for Thanksgiving eve.
Super expensive. A shot of Goose-Lime was $10. Ouch.
Music was great. I love house-techno when i'm out. (that's just me)
The crowd seemed OK. Usually when u get the "up-scale" look like this its a D-bag magnet but not here (not tonight anyway). IT was more of a prep kind of crowd.
Ill try it again. Hopefully it can pick up another star next time.
Nice atmosphere in this place - looks very classy and chic, and most, if not all of the girls that work there are hot. Overall, had a good time / above average time for going out in Stamford
The reason for the 2 stars - we got bottle service over the weekend and were buying bottles (and knew about the 20% service charge/tip, which is standard). When it came time to pay, our total alcohol/other drink purchases came to around $500, Â but the "20% service charge" was more than $160. Yes, it was my fault for signing the receipt without doing the math first, but I was drunk and having a good time (hence the 2 stars). I did not realize the problem until I looked at the itemized receipt the next day. Anyhow - learn from my mistake and make sure you check your itemized receipt before signing the bill at this place!
This place is sooooo overrated. Â There's nothing special about it and their drinks are overpriced. Â It's going to become another Grand, except at Grand, the people that work there are pleasant. Â
There's a pretty boy, preppy bouncer or door boy or whatever the hell he is that needs to get slapped across the face. Â He is so rude and thinks he's the shit. Â Get a real job honey!
I went on a Saturday night and no one started arriving until after 11:30 p.m. or so. Â It was a motley crew mix. Â There was a bunch of guys in their 40's and 50's (ew) and a bunch of women from 20 - 30. Â No eye candy at all!
Although I had to wait in line for over 30 mins, my friend and I had a great time at 84 Park. The music, which was spun by DJ Toro, was pretty good. The crowd was ok. The club was clean and it looked very classy. There were so many beautiful people in there...you definitely have to dress to impress to go in. No sneakers.
