Wow. This was an amazing little find. Who knew local theater existed around here and was good? Really, very good. I am impressed.
Alden Theatre is located right smack dab in one of McLean's beautiful neighborhoods with it's own privet lot with a ton of parking. Parking, which you will notice, can fill up on a good night. The McLean Community Players' "Drowsy Chaperone" was certainly one of those good nights.
Since this is a community theater, it isn't obnoxiously large, which is perfect because you can't really have a bad seat in the house! Definitely check out this local theater for a fun and different night out.
Came here last night and was delighted by this hidden gem. Tucked away in a Mclean neighborhood near the old Mclean public library. Ample parking and very enthusiastic patrons make catching a show here a delight. Certainly worth coming here again for anyone who enjoys community theater whether or not you live in Mclean.
I also found that because of its intimate size, there are no bad seats in the house, and even in the back, you are not far from the stage. I think next time I'll try the upper deck for a different perspective.
Note: They give a $2 discount on tickets for folks who live in Mclean. Also, don't buy your tickets via Ticketmaster online, they are cheaper at the box office.
