Came here on a Sunday night and was completely baffled by how bad everything . I understand that it is a Sunday and that  means football this time of year but why can't you get your act together. We were seated pretty quick but it took forever to get a server to stop by our table and then the drinks never came until we were therefor at least 30 minutes. I order one of the lighter fare options because everything else at Applebee's is at least 1200 calories with no real nutritional value. The steak I ordered was way over cooked and considering I couldn't even get a manager's attention to come over and address my dissatisfaction with my meal I choked the tough flavorless hunk of meat down the hatch. The side of "Grilled" shrimp were repulsive, They were essentially precooked salad shrimp that were sauteed and then possibly thrown on a flat top for 2 minutes to make them appear to have been grilled. It was ridiculously bad and I can't recommend this location to anyone.
Review Source:The food is average but I will say that the staff was very friendly to us. Â I'm not sure if that had to do with when we came in or what but they were nicer than I've seen at some chain places. Â I do also like that they have smaller versions of their desserts & will let you get a half sized salad.
Review Source:It's Applebee's. Â We all know it's half price apps and twofers after 10. Â So we went there. Â The quesadillas were good, the extra-spicy wings we requested were not edible. Â Too much pepper. Â I'm used to spicy food, don't get me wrong, but when you put enough pepper to feed a small village, it becomes a problem. Â So we sent them back (something I HATE doing) and got (still very spicy) but also very good wings.
Moral of this story, if you go to the 'bees in Bohemia, don't request SUPER DUPER spicy.
Neighborhood grill.
I was out to pick up someone at the airport and had a little time to kill - so I popped in even though I dread these kinds of restaurants.
The bar was hopping but I scored a seat right away. Â The bartender I got was outstanding- she should be at a better place. Â She was right there with the drinks and the menu and a big smile.
The other bartender working with her must have had like 40 red bulls before she got there- and apparently all that caffiene is directly transmitted to her jaw because she Did.Not.Shut.The.Fuck.Up the entire time I was there. Â blah blah blah my daughter this, blah blah blah, I'm going to shop on black Friday that... I was ready to stick a fork on my jugular and end it all right there.
Aside from that constant stream of noise, the food was your basic Applebees offering - nothing to crow about and laden with salt and calories. Â I had my 2 beers and a snack and got the hell out of there.
Big but maze like parking lot.
This trendy neighborhood grill by celebrity chef and owner Tyler Florence is a big hit with the twenty-year-olds. All the kids know it. . . Â two-fers on drinks and 1/2 price appetizers after ten (don't they drink in parking lots anymore?). Â The waitstaff are mindless fetchers who take and bring your order with little consideration or thought. Â The bottom of the TGIF spectrum. Â But for $10 walk-out price, after tip, two drinks and food, how can you go wrong?
Review Source:I like going to this location more than the Lake Grove one just because it is less crowded. The Applebee's in Lake Grove makes it a really popular spot for those coming from the mall/movies or heading out to the nearby bars. This one is more removed so the wait for a table isn't as ridiculous. Go here after 10pm for half priced appetizers and drinks! Just be careful because half priced does not equal half calories. Ha!
