I usually don't go to chain restaurants but I probably saw a commercial for Applebees and was craving it. Â Went on a Saturday and night and it was pretty crowded for 8 pm. Â Even though busy the service was pretty good, the waitress gave us recommendations and seemed to know the menu pretty well. Â I ordered the lime chicken and my bf ordered the steak. Â My bf ordered the steak medium rare and thats how it came out, not over cooked. Â Chicken was moist and not dry. Â During the middle of our dinner manager came by and asked how our dinner was. Â He was pretty nice because he noticed my drink was close to needing a refill and refilled it for me. Â What I was impressed was that even thought the restaurant was super busy, I didn't feel like I was being rushed out. Â Food came out pretty quickly even thought it was busy. Â I may change my views on chain restaurants from now on.
Review Source:Stopped in the other night for a late snack. To my surprise, they had half price appetizers going on. For less than $5.00, I thought I'd give the wings a shot. They're actually pretty good. Average in size, fried to a perfect crispness and the sauce was spot on. I think the regular price is $9.49 which in my opinion is a little high. That equals out to 95 cents a wing. Now if they were a larger in size that price could be justified. I give it three stars at regular price and four stars for half price. I'm not a frequent flyer of Applebee's but the appetizer happy hour will bring me back.
Review Source:I went on a Friday night around 8 & the place was far from busy or packed, which was great. Of course once it got near 9 it started to get packed due to the half price apps. Here's the deal w/ the half price apps not all are half price so be sure to ask your server. Also all Applebees don't participate, but this one did so again you should ask your server. You also have to buy a drink to get the half price apps.
The server was courteous. We had to wait a while for the rest of our our party to show up, he kept filling drinks, & checking on us. He also laughed entertained us as well. Overall good experience. I'm not a big fan of Applebees unless it's the half price apps
*just my opinion tho & we all know what those are like*
Applebee's advertises in HI, but we don't have any locations. So, to my surprise when I flew up to Indianapolis for the marathon and an Applebees was nearby my hotel. After being seated, I looked around and saw the decor of this place. It was abundantly clear that they are trying to mimic Chili's. When I was there, it was relatively quiet with a few patrons on a Thursday around 4:30pm.
The server was nice, although I had gotten a vibe like she didn't really want to be there that day. Oh well. Forgot my ID and had a soda, instead of liquor. Ordered the 12 oz steak entree to eat in restaurant while ordering the pasta carbornara for later. Both tasted good and hot the spot on a lazy day to do really nothing.
Nice restaurant though. Good service and plenty of parking around the restaurant. If not, park around the Castleton Mall.
The service was great at this location.
We were coming back from a trip to Florida and stopped to get food here. Our daughter had a long day and was kinda freaking out and crying. The bar tender was super nice and brought over a plate of fruit for her to snack on before our food got there.
The waitress we had was awesome and really took care of us, I never had an empty glass and after coming back from a 30 minute wait every place we went in Florida, this place was a breath of fresh air.
I think the food was decent and had good flavor. We had the 2 for $20 and drank waters and got really great service. So in turn we left a good tip.
I would recommend this Apple Bee's to anyone that wants a great meal with great service.
2 things to start. Â First, I avoid chain restaurants for the most part and second I try not to be a food snob. Today I fail at both in writing this review.
Last night while shopping with my kids we stopped at Applebee's. The place was pretty empty and we were sat right away. Right by the door I might add. (it was 11 degree's outside, so when the door opened you knew it.)
It took almost 10 minutes before our server appeared to greet us. This annoys me. He did apologize and took our order. We all wanted something fast since it was getting late so it was chicken fingers all around. I ordered mine tossed with buffalo sauce and a side of bleu cheese, the kids got the standard. Mine came out wrong... How do you mess up chicken fingers?
I will say the beer was good and cold and we had front row parking. Not much else happened to help raise the rating. We paid the check and hit the door.
I have always had a great experience at this Applebee's location. The waiters are always pleasant and seem to know the menu very well. There is not always a very large crowd, which means easy in and out.
The food here is pretty good. I've eaten a lot of the menu, and I have a few favorites. The orange chicken bowl and the 3 cheese penne pasta are really good. I am not a fan of any of the burgers they have to offer, it just seems like they always have a burnt taste. Over all the menu is acceptable, and I can see this as a great place to pick up a nice lunch or to take someone out for a casual dinner.
