My daughter and I had a night out planned to attend a movie and go have great food at Applebee's. The movie was wonderful, the food and service at Applebee's not so much. Out of the five items we ordered, we only ate one thing. The fried green beans were bland, the beer cheese bitter, the wedge salad, off colored and flavorless, my daughter received luke warm chicken strips of which she had about 10 on her plate which makes me wonder why so many and if they were old and just all added on one plate, they were lukewarm yet her mashed potatoes were smoking hot and flavorless. We were both so utterly disgusted with our meals, we each had one bite and never touched anything else. I was utterly shocked that everything could taste that bad. I have NEVER in my life been to a place to eat and not tipped. I felt bad for not tipping but the food was just that bad. I already felt like I wasted 34 dollars and I was not going to spend another dime at Applebee's! Â I will never set foot in that Applebee's again. I have dined at Applebee's in Bloomington, IN and loved it so I know it is not the brand but this particular one. It truly needs some improvements. I hate to waste my time & my money and somehow Applebee's has managed to make me do both tonight.
Review Source:This Applebee's brings all of the value and deliciousness that you expect from other Applebee's, but really is one of a kind with the staff. Everyone is so friendly and interesting! You're able to joke around and be silly or just have a quiet dinner... whatever you're looking for. I should have expected no less from the Highlands Applebee's! I'll definitely be back! Go find out for yourself!
