Great local restaurant. Â They have great happy hour specials - my favorites being the $5 growler fill-ups on Monday nights and $10 bison burger and beer. Â The cream ale is my favorite beer on their menu. Â Great food, great beer, great service, and a fun atmosphere makes Cumberland Brews a must-visit in the Highlands.
Review Source:I came here last night for dinner with some friends. Though the sign inside said that the upstairs was open, the waitstaff had me wait until a table on the main floor opened up (I didn't see the upper level to see if that was full as well, but I don't think it was, I didn't see anyone going up or coming down any time while we were there).
I had the meade to drink. It wasn't bad, wasn't spectacular. We shared the beer cheese, which came with crackers and 2 handfuls worth of jalapeños. It was good, though I've had better beer cheese at other restaurants. I got the fried bologna sandwich. I don't know I am a glutton for this punishment. The first time I ever had fried bologna it was crazy good. The next time I had it, at a different place, it was terrible. This was squarely in the middle. I don't think I would get it again, with burgers and salads on the menu, but I was just hoping it would be as good as that first fried bologna I ever had. For pub-type fare at a brewhouse sort of setting, I think the prices felt a little bit high. But I'm not mad at it, if the food is good.
Service was kind of slow and our waiter seemed flustered/distracted. But it was alright.
