I like this place a lot. Â It's nice to get out of the house sometimes and go do something normally I would spend an evening at home doing - playing nerdy card and/or board games. Â
It can be intimidating a little bit because the group seems a little insular and most are REALLY into whatever game they are playing.  You might get the feeling you are being ignored if you are waiting at the counter.  You might be scolded for playing Illuminati with only 2 people.  But:  if  you have a hankering to play MTG and only have a deck of cards, but no friends, you will always be able to find someone to play with you. Â
There is no cover or fee to go hang out and game. Â There are two floors and space can be reserved for private events, they have a calendar online that lists the gaming events they are hosting, and you can get all manner of gaming fuel to eat: pizza, burritos, Mountain Dew. Â You know.
I have to say I'm a fan, or at least I want to be a fan.
This is a perfect place to meet up with people and play some old fashioned board games. Â The D&D crowd is there but there's plenty of room for others too. Â I just like the vibe in here a lot and the owner is really nice.
Seems like a good place to study too.
Ran in here tonight to pick up some dice & look at some minis.
The good: Several tables, have a large war room downstairs for private events(didn't go downstairs to see it though), locally owned, have a cafe onsite for gaming munchies, the arches/architecture separating the kitchen from the main room, & the Fountain Square neighbourhood
The bad: Small selection(They'll probably order stuff for you though.) No used minis for sale, food selection is stereotypical gaming stuff- hamburgers, nachos, pizza, soda, ice cream, energy drinks,( Nachos w/o meat & mushrooms on pizza only vegetarian options) & the guy who rang us up seemed indifferent, non-talkative & bored.
Bottom Line: OK if you need to grab something common like a  D&D players' handbook or dice & aren't particular about styles or colours. While they do have some oddities & unusual card games, & having food onsite is a brilliant idea, the slapdash nature of the endeavour leaves me wanting more, & closer. Why are there not really any awesome gaming places inside the loop?
