El Arado - Mexican Grills

It's your standard not mexican mexican food. The food itself was really good. I have to say the one thing that left a sour taste in my mouth was that there was a sign up for a margarita special. when i ordered my margarita the server brought me something larger and of course cost more. I'm not upset for the upsell I just wish I had known. The pricing of the menu was fair. I would probably go back but be aware to ask for for special that is advertised.

I know this place gets a bad-rap, but I love this place. It's a hole-in-the-wall and service can be slow, but man their chips and salsa are good. I prefer authentic street tacos and they have the best around. Corn tortillas, carne asada, cilantro, diced onions and lime juice. It's 3 tacos of pure bliss for around $5 ala carte.

As I said before service can be slow, but when you can finally flag them down they are usually quick to bring more drinks and chips/salsa. If you want a casual, down and dirty meal, this is the place to go.

It's still no bastion of authentic Mexican cuisine by a long shot, but dare I say it?  El Arado is now actually passable. A solid three stars. Hurrah!
