The Ashland is hidden on a residential street and the drive through the neighborhood to get there felt like the Twilight Zone-- I never knew it, but Glenolden (or at least this part) is like the doppelganger version of Roxborough/Manayunk. For me, it got even weirder inside the bar, as the patrons all reminded me of someone I knew from the neighborhood . For me, very very discombobulating, but overall, pleasant, clean and friendly. Â
There are two very nice tables, level, felted smoothly, but SUPER fast, so watch your cue speed. The Sunday bartender shoots in the league, so don't let her hustle you  :) There are tons of specials (some during games, some during happy hours, at least one special every day of the week) and Lagers are comparably priced. There appeared to be a kitchen, but perhaps it isn't open until the evenings (my league shoots sunday afternoons)...
I liked the Ashland- it was nothing special, but it's a bar you'd be happy to have within walking distance of your house.
