Ashland Pub

The Ashland is hidden on a residential street and the drive through the neighborhood to get there felt like the Twilight Zone-- I never knew it, but Glenolden (or at least this part) is like the doppelganger version of Roxborough/Manayunk. For me, it got even weirder inside the bar, as the patrons all reminded me of someone I knew from the neighborhood . For me, very very discombobulating, but overall, pleasant, clean and friendly.  

There are two very nice tables, level, felted smoothly, but SUPER fast, so watch your cue speed. The Sunday bartender shoots in the league, so don't let her hustle you  :) There are tons of specials (some during games, some during happy hours, at least one special every day of the week) and Lagers are comparably priced. There appeared to be a kitchen, but perhaps it isn't open until the evenings (my league shoots sunday afternoons)...

I liked the Ashland- it was nothing special, but it's a bar you'd be happy to have within walking distance of your house.
