Bailey's Chocolate Bar

Don't go to the Chocolate Bar in the summertime unless you want to sit in a sauna.  The dining room was actually hotter than it was outside!  We moved outside to the porch and left after one drink.  When we asked about the air conditioning problem, we were told that since it wasn't technically broken, it wasn't going to be fixed.  I'm surprised that the owner doesn't realize that this hurts his business!  Don't waste your time unless the weather is cool outside.  The air works just fine at the Fountain on Locust.

How have I not written a review sooner?! This is my #1 favorite spot for after drinks. They have a huge list of decadent drinks and desserts for your sweet tooth. My go-to drink is the Chocolate Bar Signature Martini. It's one of the ice-cream martinis they offer. It's a dream in a glass.

Like complimentary bread at an Italian restaurant, you get a plate of mini chocolate chip cookies when you arrive which is a nice touch. The atmosphere is romantic and trendy. It's often hopping, too.

I've been here numerous times for girls night, date night, birthday party, even my own engagement party (ahh my fiancé knows me so well :-))! They are busy and there is often a wait, but it is worth it. Service is good and everything I've tried so far is delicious, food included. Must go spot for city dwellers and visitors alike!

The Hubby and I came here for tasty adult beverage and appetizers on our Anniversary before heading to our dinner location. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the wonderful early evening weather. The chocolate martini I had was divine. Also good were the cheese plate and seasoned pistachios. It was a perfect start to our celebration night.
