i stopped here for the 1st time today, but definitely not the last time.
The exterior is clean, somebody even opened the door for me. Â Inside, it smells fantastic. Â It's definitely not organized like a corporate owned place...could be better inside...but they arent interior decorators. Â They make some damn fine bbq. Â
I wanted the pulled pork, but it wasnt ready yet....so I ordered ribs to go. Â While i waited, he cut off a rib, put some sauce on the side & said "enjoy while you wait"
Upon tasting my sample........i was VERY happy. Â 6 huge ribs....fork tender, still attached to the bone but truly at that perfect amount where just a gentle pull removes the meat. Â I believe he called it a rib sandwich.......MASSIVE side of fries, drink, pretty decent roll w/ it.........under $8.50?
Very cute girl taking the money, lotsa personality & menu knowledgeable
they make their own sauce & the rub on the rib was REEEEEEEEAAALLLY good
Again, another place, tons of people have visited here so I'm surprised there are not more reviews. Any who, I don't eat BBQ or pork so I can not comment on any of those menu items.
This place is a hole-in-the-wall; very LIMITED seating. It is best to just take your food & go home. The staff is friendly. I love the steak fries & smoothies. I have often commented to the owner that he should open up a smoothie shop. I have also tasted some of the sides: collard greens, mac & cheese, & baked beans. I liked them. I never tried the rice & I wasn't a fan of the corn bread. I like my corn bread homemade with actual corn in it; that's very rare to find in restaurants.
Last but not least, the JERK SEASON is the BOMB. I love the recipe, I love the spices & how spicy it is!!!! The jerk recipe at this restaurant is def a winner.
*Disclaimer: I am not paid to do any of my reviews. I'm just a consumer who was sick & tired of not seeing any reviews (good or bad) on many of the South Florida establishments that I frequent or have visited in the past.
