I have to say that the gal that complained about her calamari and burger didn't know what she was talking about.  I have been here many times and I can't say enough about how great the food is and the portions are huge. They are constantly changing it up with new stuff that is always amazing!  The burgers are huge and juicy definately plan on leftovers.  As for the calamari it's one of my favorite items on the menu, its this big bowl of spicy, buttery calamari with cherry peppers and lots of garlic!  My mouth is watering just thinking of it!  So if you want to complain about the food at a restaurant you might want to find one more worthy of it.  It sounds like you might be more comfortable at a place with a drive thru!

First of all, the service was excellent, the dining room was clean, and the beer was great.  Our waitress was so friendly attentive and knowledgeable; she was wonderful.  The food however was really very bad.  We came for burgers so our expectations were pretty much just good hot food.  What we got was a spicy calamari appetizer that I'm 99% certain was low-quality, frozen, pre-prepared calamari with pickled jalapeños dumped on top, served floating in a inch of the juice from the jalapeño jar.  I could have bought  a much higher quality prepared calamari in the frozen section of a supermarket.   After the awful appetizer, my husband and I wanted to cancel the order for a burger we had put in to split between us, but the waitress was so nice we decided to stay.  Though when I added a side salad to our order, I made sure to verify that they made the dressing in-house (I was afraid it would be swimming in a bad bottle dressing).

The burger, which was supposed to be medium was very well done.  The meat was poor-quality, cheap, tough, beef cooked to a dry tasteless disc.  The menu said it was a 1/2 pound but it was really small (which was fine because it was quite bad.)  The french fries were a poor choice of a previously-frozen variety (reconstituted potatoes for sure).   When the waitress checked back I told her that the burger was well-done and she offered to take it back, but we had already each taken a couple bites, and since we were splitting it anyway, it seemed awkward so we decided to stick with it.  The side salad was nice greens and tomato, but it was small and sandy.  They brought us an unannounced free desert because of the burger (a piece of white chocolate mousse cake).  It was really nice of them and we were very gracious, but it didn't really make up for a bad meal.  I won't criticize the dessert because it was a very nice gesture.

Overall I would say: the food is bad, the service is great, the prices are unreasonably high for the food you are getting if you order what we did.  I realize we are used to the great restaurants we have access to living in Brooklyn, but we thought Beacon was known for its great restaurants.  The best meal we ate in this town was at cheap but delicious Santana Taqueria.

I'm always on the blachhh side of eating out. I had yet to find a place where everything is consistent. The Beacon Falls Cafe is a Perfect eatery. The food is consistently GREAT comes out hot, and always DELI SH! Service is fantastic. No complaints, none nada zippo. My family and I are regulars and I thoroughly have enjoyed each time.
My husband is in shock as I find fault in most restaurants. GO!! It's a must. Rhode Island Calamari!!!!

Cosy cafe in the Beacon center, right on Main Street.
My friends and I enjoyed their burgers: Bistro, Lamb and Veggie.
Attentive service, great selection of bottled beers (even Cider!).
I haven't looked at their wine list - no comments there.
A little fireplace adds to the cute and home-like atmosphere. There was a Christmas tree by the tables.
As other reviewers mentioned, Beacon Falls Cafe has local art for sale on the walls: large photos and paintings. After walking in the area it felt good to view local vistas on the photos and remember our adventures while climbing to the casino site.

Called to place an order for pick up and was told they were too busy and not taking to go orders. Last time I tried to order they gave me a menu and five minutes later closed and refused to take my order. I am not tying for a third time. I guess they do so well they can turn away customers all the time. Not worth my time.

Lovely place! The burgers are huge and delicious!  Beer is a bit pricey but not horrendous. Overall very good! Can't wait to stop by next time in I'm Beacon.

Found on dog-friendly listing for area, was truly dog-friendly, but good food and ambience 1st rate. Had a great lunch outside, with views of mountain or cute town. Would highly recommend!

Excellent lunches.   And now that they have a liquor license, you can get a nice glass of wine or a good craft beer.    Been there several times for lunch and it was excellent.   Oh yeah, if you can, get a table at the window, you'll love it ... quaint restaurant on a quaint street with good food and drink and no rushing ... it couldn't be better.

I love Beacon Falls!  They have a great, friendly staff.  Brunch is amazing, but lunch and dinner are delicious as well.  Their food is always fresh and cooked just right.

I love the wine specials on Thursday nights too!  This is definitely a go to spot for my friends and I!

Had Sunday brunch here. The service was outstanding. It is a small restaurant suitable for families.
The food would have been good, but they don't seem to know that English muffins have to be toasted before serving them.

Last month during our vacation week, hubby and I visited the city of Beacon and decided, on a whim, to try out the Beacon Falls Café for a late weekday lunch at about 4pm.  We'd never been here before and just stumbled upon it after having been at The Hop next door.

This is a cute, inviting eatery with a cozy décor and a friendly staff.  When we ate there, though, we were the ONLY diners in the place.  We sat right near the sidewalk window nook at a cozy table in the warm sunshine.  At  a table near the front counter in which two men were seated at,  I clearly could hear their whole conversation with the waitress.  Due to the nature of their discussion, they were either owners of the Café or were close in relation (friends or otherwise).  The reason that I am even commenting on these fellows is that I couldn't help but hear every word that was being said between them since the restaurant was otherwise totally quiet.  The waitress was also discussing with and/or complaining to them about the behaviors of another employee.  I find that staff members of an establishment should not be audibly discussing their business operations - especially in a negative manner - in front of their patrons!  It makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere for the diners and is considered highly unprofessional in the business world!  It's like they didn't even realize we were sitting there, sigh......

    Anyway, about the food:

They had a nice selection of my favorite kinds of beer: those brewed by small, craft micro-breweries.  I overheard the staff say (no surprise there!) that they had to order some  1/2 kegs from The Hop next door, which really tickled my fancy!

My husband and I shared the "Grown-Up Mac & Cheese" appetizer, which we thought was pretty good, but probably wouldn't order again as it was a little too rich and slightly dried out.  But we both truly loved our main dishes.  I had the Grilled Salmon BLT Panini and hubby decided on the Falls Burger.  He has been on a Rueben kick lately and really couldn't make up his mind for several minutes.   He was happy he chose the burger, as he stated it was "scrumptious"!  He described it as "moist and meaty and cooked to perfection, as ordered".  My sentiments about the Panini I ordered were identical to his positive reaction, but not in a burger sort of way!  The HOME-MADE potato chips accompanying both plates were EXCELLENT!  Done to perfection.

I'll definitely go back to Beacon Falls Café when I'm in the area again, but please, Staff:  Keep the business banter in the back room where it belongs.

My girlfriend and I took a day trip out of NYC to Beacon over the weekend.  We walked all the way down Main Street and decided to give Beacon Falls Cafe a try.  We were both very glad we did.

The server was very friendly and checked back with us regularly.

They have a decent beer selection that wasn't over priced.

The food was reasonably priced and tasted outstanding.  She had the smoked turkey club panini and I had the big shenandoah burger.  The burger was the best burger I have had in recent memory.  I wish this place was in my neighborhood I would go there every day.

If you ever make it out to Beacon you have to try this place.

The interior is horribly awful, so sit outside if you can. The sandwiches are a mouthful, big and delicious! I had the Soft Shell Crab sandwich served with pasta salad and fries. My friends Chicken & Avocado was huge and tasty, came with homemade chips.
Definitely a great lunch spot after Dia.

This place had really great food and great service. We lingered for quite some time and we never got the feeling that they wanted us to leave. I had the falafel and it was really flavorful with interesting spices. They had a decent, but small, selection of beers on tap. We sat outside at their small outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant, which provided a great view of Mt. Beacon. Great find!

We had brunch at Beacon Falls Cafe this past weekend and enjoyed the entire experience.  I had the Classic Eggs Benedict, which was cooked perfectly and was very tasty along with nicely cooked potato's.   My friends had an Egg-White Omelet and a deli sandwich, both of which looked really good.  The atmosphere is cozy and the service was good.  Also, I can appreciate a place that has good coffee and refills it often!

Beacon Falls Cafe offers many great appetizer, entree, and drink choices. We enjoyed the hot spinach artichoke dip as a starter. Our meals were equally as great as well. The wedge salad was tasty and the lamb burger with Brie and a cranberry sauce on a fresh roll was excellent and packed full of flavor! Our server was a real dear offering great attentive service. Looking forward to future returns!

Really liked their menu.  My dining partner and I went for a lunch.  I had the grilled cheese club on challah bread.  Good flavor and it is a testament that I gobbled it up fast.  I also tried the smoked turkey club.  Above average and worthy.

I wasn't too keen on the chips with the sandwiches but my dining partner liked them a lot, and she noted she does not normally like potato chips.  So that's a plus for Beacon Falls.

The service was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing, and most of the tables were taken at the time we were there.  The food was also made and served promptly, a good thing considering how starving we were.

I did feel the cream soda was lacking in flavor, though.  Also, if Beacon Falls is going to serve egg cream, it is crucual a spoon is given to be able to stir the chocolate syrup and better the flavor.  I didn't receive a spoon.  But a minor issue, and I guess it shows how good Beacon Falls was that I have to find something like that to complain about.

Check it out if in Beacon.

Ah, the Beacon Falls Cafe, our home away from home.  The food is always fantastic and service is never without a smile. It is a place that makes you feel like family.  I have never been a "regular" at a place until I came here.   We have dined here many many times and have never been disappointed.  This has become our go to place and whenever going out with friends and family we suggest the BFC.   By the end of the meal, they can't wait to tell their friends and family about it as well!  The portions are generous and more importantly delicious.  I dare you to finish one of their burgers...go ahead, give it a try.  You will most likely leave stuffed because everything tastes so good!  This is a cozy little place with upscale comfort food at reasonable prices.  The brunch is phenomenal as well.  If you are a beer and/or wine lover, you will be pleased with their selections.  You can't go wrong at Beacon Falls Cafe!

Beacon Falls Cafe is a cool spot for the eatings. A very well-rounded menu with some great entrees, appetizers and sandwiches. The dining area is small yet cozy, it tends to fill up quickly but is often with a nice, laid back crowd. The service has always been very friendly and thorough. The prices are just right, too. One of the better places in Beacon to dine at, in my opinion.

We stopped in for brunch at Beacon Falls Cafe and were very pleasantly surprised.  The prices are low-to-reasonable (depending on what you're used to), and the food was excellent.  I don't normally go for huevos rancheros, but I'm glad I got it here -- all the ingredients were well-balanced, tasted great individually, and together made for an excellent dish.  And my girlfriend's Bananas Foster French Toast was kind of mind-blowing.  If we come back to Beacon, I'm ordering that for myself.

The service was friendly and attentive, and we loved the decor and the space.  Try to get one of the tables near the windows if you can -- it's like getting your own private sun-bathed nook.  Or if the weather's nice, grab one of the outside tables and people-watch on Main Street.

There are so many eateries in Beacon! But many were closed on the Monday I came through town. I stopped at the Beacon Falls Cafe because it looked really cute and the menu had a diverse and upscale twist on comfort foods like mac&cheese with truffle oil, grilled cheese with challa bread, and of course the Bacon Blue Burger. Prices range between $8-15. Service was friendly and helpful, especially to the high-maintenance clientele that sat near my table.

Since this was my only stop in New York on my cross-country road trip I went for the NY-style Reuben. Unfortunately... this sandwich fell short of my expectations. First of all, it was WAY TOO BIG. The bread was overloaded and the meat vs. sauerkraut ratio was out of balance, so I basically got three servings of beef with not much to add flavor. The thousand-island dressing came on the side, which was a challenge to add to the sandwich as it fell apart in my hands.

This place has done the impossible, they totally turned me on to Blue Cheese.  On my second visit I had the Bacon Blue Burger (pictured) cooked medium and golly it was cooked the way I asked and the bacon was delicious.  Super sweet and friendly service, this place is becoming a fast favorite.

As I am sitting here I can't help to do a review. Environment is pretty cute and romantic with the sun coming in from the window.  We came in with high expectation and first thing was coffee - aww. It was Seatle Best coffee but it was served kind of luke warm - would be better if it's hot.  The orange juice was minute maid and a bit too small of a portion. Yeah I am pretty sure.  Then me and my bf ordered a banana French toast and I had a pancake.  The waitress then told u they didn't have banana!! Aww. The French toast and pancake tasted ok and I like my pancake as it was warm enough but a bit too thick and a bit blant since it didn't come with any fruit or decorations except a piece of peeled orange on top of it.  Overall I like the environment and setting since it served as a unique excursion outside of my normal IHOP routine. But I see a lot of room for improvement in the food as well as coffee to leverage that cute environment setting!!!

What a beautiful, quaint cafe with a huge menu selection! The food selection for Sunday brunch was really surprising - a huge array of traditional breakfast staples (french toast) along with some surprises (goat cheese frittatas) along with some great lunch choices. The carrot cake mini muffins given as a free bread appetizer were insanely delicious - I could have filled up on those alone!! My only complaint was that the chorizo in my chorizo and asiago frittata should have been cooked on its own before it was put in the frittata (it tasted like a raw hot dog) but the rest of the meal was fabulous. I just got my tonsills out along with a bone spur out of my nose so I look forward to making one of my first meals back in 'normalcy' at the Beacon Falls Cafe. A wonderful gem that is worth the trip to Main St. for any meal of the day :)

Such an adorable little lunch spot in the heart of Beacon. We shared the veggie burger and artisan salad and both were outstanding, although the salad had a touch too much dressing. The veggie burger was made of rice and white bean, which I've never had before, but was beyond delish. Maybe it's from being from the city but the service was a little slow for my taste, but the food more than made up for it. I'd definitely go back.

After a long absence owing only to a hectic life, my Wife and I went back to the Beacon Falls Cafe this past Saturday and are we psyched that we did!  The menu had a few updates since we'd last been in, but we went for the ol' reliable in the form of a couple of burgers.  She had the Black and Bleu Cheese and I had the Shenandoah (I think that's what it was called) with Cheddar Bacon and BBQ sauce.  Dee-lish!

This was after starting with a fantastic Artisan Salad that just knocked our socks off with roasted nuts and goat cheese.

They have also now obtained a beer and wine list and they feature all local options.  We had a couple of brews from the Kingston area and loved every drop.

I have to  go back and leave some room next time for the Ice Cream
Float that is made with a local Stout Beer.

So happy to have another source for awesome eats in Beacon!

My girlfriend, and I brought a friend from out of town here for Sunday Brunch before she was to get on the train to go back home.  We needed to get some food relatively close by, and after being enticed by the menu in the window, we decided to venture in.  We were told to seat ourselves, and as the place was pretty full, there wasn't much option.  We went with a table that tucked into an alcove in the front window.  Unfortunately the sun coming in, and the narrow-ness of the space made for a rather warm experience.

All was forgotten though when the focus was brought back to ordering our food.  I chose the Chorizo Fritatta, while my GF chose the Southwestern Omelet, and our guest went with the Steak And Eggs.  We did have to wait for a decent amount of time, but it was pretty busy, and it's a small staff.  It was worth the wait though.  My fritatta was generously filled with hunks of chorizo, and then additional slices were laid on top of melted swiss cheese.  My GF is not normally a fan of Southwestern-style food, especially black beans, but the ones that came with her omelet converted her, which is no small feat to say the least. The only mis-step was our guest's steak.  She ordered it cooked medium, and it was less than rare.  Downright raw in parts. We each enjoyed the nicely cooked home fries that accompanied our meals, and still made it to the train station in time.  We will be going back again.

If you are going there for breakfast or brunch, I say definitely go and enjoy.  We've gone a few times and had great meals.

We tried it for dinner and were very disappointed.  The quality of food was not at all what we expected.

This place was super cute! Came here with two friends for Sunday brunch and we were seated promptly. I got the Beacon Falls Benedict which was really good except for the fact that there was a little too much sauce. My friends got the country vegetable frittata and the chicken quesadilla. Both looked great as well. I would say that the prices are a little cheaper than NY brunch prices which seems consistent given that this place isn't in NYC. Also, the service was great - the chef even came out and greeted us! The menu options are plentiful which is sometimes unusual for brunch places - I would definitely come here again!
