I LOVE tapas places, so I was super excited to try this place. It definitely lived up to my expectations. The food was awesome! I was a little annoyed that we had reservations and still had to wait for about 15 minutes, but I would say that it was worth it. The atmosphere is pretty loud and it is very dark, but I loved the decor and would definitely come back.
There were 5 of us, so we tried a lot of things from the menu... our favorites were the Croquetas de Cocido, Flamenquines de Cerado, and the grilled scallops. The prices are a bit on the high side, but I would say pretty standard for a good tapas place!
Michael was a fantastically nice and experienced bartender. The plates follow in the likes of Cafe Iberico and have large portions for tapas. Bacon wrapped dates came on a skewer with an uncommon amount of 6 pieces and were filled with goat cheese. Yum. Lamb apricot dish was fantastic, and the fish was cooked perfectly. It's a romantic joint with the Division St young vibes. It was Saturday night and the place was pretty quiet, but that's okay. It is snowing, after all.
Review Source:This was a place a few of us were trying out just because every other tapas place was a 2 hour wait. I will NEVER return!! The portions were super small for their expensive price! This place was neither quantity or quality. Not impressed with anything about it! In hindsight, I would rather have waited the 2 hours for a table at a decent tapas restaurant. Lesson learned. Fair warning for those out of state or passing through the area looking for a place for tapas.
