The pizza here is okay, but I've only had it once. Â I ordered a margherita pizza to go and while it was good, it didn't blow me away. Â I may give it another try later, but with so many other pizza places in this wonderful city of Chicago, it'll take some willpower for me to come back here. Â On a side note, service is quick and friendly.
Review Source:I often order Pizza Metro more because of a lack of alternatives than because it's what I really want. Â It's not bad, it's just nothing special. Â But it IS open late and that makes all the difference. Â I actually feel a little dirty giving a place like this an average rating if only because it's open late. Â I wish I could encourage this type of behavior without compromising the integrity of my Yelp reviews. But, again, this is the life I have chosen.
I also get the meatball sub and my girlfriend always gets the caprese sub. Â Both are a bit small but at a price that is commensurate with their size. Â They are very tasty and toasted to perfection. Â But they are still just a meatball and caprese sub.
A little trick from a former pizza delivery boy: if you want pizza, go with the slices. Â This is true most places and definitely true at Pizza Metro. Â You get more pizza for your buck and are allowed more variety.
I love this place. Â I feel like folks don't give a shout out to Pizza Metro being one of the better places to order pizza. Â The guys on Division know how to put that pie together and slice it into little squares like nobody's business. Â The crust is the best part! Â They have a lot of coupons floating around so be sure to save one because I guarantee you that you will be eating here in the next two months if you live anywhere near Division and Ashland.
