We were hungry for a hearty meal and headed here because we had such a positive experience before. This time, however, we left thoroughly disappointed. We were greeted at the door by a little girl, who showed us to our table and took our drink order. Although this was endearing, it was entirely unprofessional. The service was again terribly slow, with only one waitress servicing the entire restaurant. I ordered the grilled veggie salad with Italian dressing. After they had already made the salad, I was told there wasn't anymore Italian dressing, so I pretty much had to choose between ranch and bleu cheese, or else let the whole salad go to waste and order something else instead (and wait even longer). The salad itself lacking in a few key ingredients listed on the menu: spinach and hard-boiled egg. So, basically, I paid $7.99 for iceberg lettuce and a few small pieces of grilled fish. To make matters worse, my bell pepper still had the sticker on it! My husband ordered the black bean enchiladas again, which I found to be unbelievably dry and flavorless this time around. After all of this, I was overcharged $4 (I was charged for drinks, which we did not order). I had to take the bill up to the waitress to have it corrected. I thought that this place would be a safe choice for lunch, but boy, was I wrong.

This place got good reviews from those I had spoken to. The only negative was that the service was slow.  Well, I went there tonight to see for myself. The negative is gone, my friend and I received our food half way through the chips and salsa, perfect timing.  And the food was great. I had the combination of a tostada, enchilada and crisp chili....all were excellent.  The menu is varied enough for anyone's choice and the prices are very reasonable.  The servers were friendly and seem glad we were there (asked several times if everything was OK) Total for 2 dinners, a soda and a premium margarita came to $30....a bargain !  This place is now on my list of "return soon".  Only disappointing thing was that Saturday night and there was only 8 people, including my 2, in the place. They should be way more crowed than this.

Check it out, you will like it.

Went in for lunch on Sunday knowing they had TVs so we could watch the NFL games while we ate.  I was surprised the place was empty because someone else told me their food was good.  I think this is a diamond in the rough, one of those little known neighborhood secrets we like to keep to ourselves but I have to let others know!  Seat yourself seating so we picked a booth with several TVs in view.  Our server was very attentive and we quickly received everything we ordered.  I had the crispy relleno plate and he had the chimichanga with shredded beef.  Both were very tasty.  The complimentary chips and salsa did not disappoint either.  The salsa had a great kick to it.  We had the Sopapilla Sundae for dessert with caramel topping.  The sopapillas were fresh, warm and delicious - definitely recommend this to any dessert lover.  He had the house margarita and said it was very good.  I would recommend a couple of things that would make this place worthy of 5 stars - give clean plates when delivering dessert, make sure the soda isn't flat before serving it and offer extra napkins.  Overall, I will eat here again.

Denver Culinary World Trip : Stop #2 (Mexico)

We went to the mexican restaurant for lunch.  The chile rellenos were crispy and good. We asked for the chilli cheese fries without meat and we got them with meat. There were like six people in the restaurant and still it took a considerably long time for the waiter to take and bring our food. Its an ok place to eat but there are way better restaurants in the area.

We went here for the first time tonight since it is close and we like to support local businesses. There was only one other couple there and so the service was fast and friendly, I ordered the steak burrito and my husband ordered a combination with a tamale, burrito and chili relleno. The steak in my burrito was tender and plentiful but the green chili lacked much flavor. My husband said his tamale was great and the relleno was fair. All and all, this is a good standby for the price

I had never been here before and discovered Blue Agave through Groupon.

My chimichanga was just ok. The shredded chicken didn't seem seasoned. The green chile was super bland. The chips tasted old. The salsa was pretty good.

The husband says "his beef & bean burrito and cheese enchilada was okay. The meal wasn't the greatest Mexican food but it wasn't the worse."

Unfortunately, I will not be a returning customer.

I bought and redeemed a Groupon for this restaurant; we went on a weekday for a late lunch. Restaurant was clean (including restrooms) and the atmosphere was welcoming. It is in a somewhat run down strip mall, so I found the interior a pleasant surprise.

Our waiter was fast, prompt, and polite. We both each ordered one of the small lunch sized portions and it was just the right size and the price was reasonable ($5.99). We also had soppapillas (sp?) and these were delicious. My friend had a milk/cinnamon type drink (I can't remember what it is called) while I had an iced tea (fresh brewed); with tax, the total was a little over $18. I found this quite reasonable.

My Groupon was for $20 which wasn't supposed to include tax and/or tip. I offered to pay the tax, but the waiter said my Groupon covered it all. I left him a $5 tip to cover the tax (in case management realized the errors of the waiter's ways) and tip. In my humble opinion, the waiter deserved the 20% plus tip for his awesome customer service.

I will return to this restaurant to try dinner and alcoholic beverages

It was our first visit. We had high hopes because we live within walking distance and want to support the neighborhood businesses. Our service was excellent and friendly. We ordered the house margaritas, the chicken mole, a tamale and a soft chile relleno in green chile sauce.

The margs were way too rich, like they were made with concentrated mix that had not been properly mixed and there was not enough tequila. The complimentary chips and salsa were good enough. I really enjoyed my relleno and tamale and there was plenty of green chile. My hubby's chicken mole was a very generous portion, but the mole sauce had way too much dried fruit and actually tasted likes prunes.

So, it was hit and miss and I hope that the owners do check Internet reviews and make the necessary corrections. We would love for them to succeed.

The food here is GREAT.  Service was a little slow, so don't go if you are in a hurry...but it was worth it!  Veggie Burrito (w/veggie sauce) was excellent.  Very friendly staff!

    Will be back!!

Solid Mexican fare. We went early so there was no problem with service.

Good guac and quesadilla. Lots of specials.

In a town with hundreds of great Mexican resturant, the food here is just so-so. More remarkable than the food was the atrociously bad service. The service was very, very slow, and the wait staff got only 1/2 of our orders correct.  Won't be coming here again.

Slow but very friendly service. Plan on an evening of leisure; plenty of time to visit with your meal companions.
Salsa is great, and the  menu is pretty vegetarian-friendly.  (But no brown rice)

Service was slow, really slow. I'm not sure if they were short handed or something, but everything (even the chips) took forever.

The food was pretty good though when it finally came. It was definitely fresh and sizzling hot. They did seem to follow up slightly more once the food was there, but the service still needs a lot more refinement.

Go for the food, not the service. So, I'd suggest call ahead and use the take out menu.
