Not be local to this area I won't get here often, but I really wish I could. Â Its like they have transplanted all the things I love about West Side dive bars and transplanted them to the East Side. Â One more reason for a 40 minute drive!
Drinks are strong, strong and cheap! Â The bartender was incredibly friendly and very patient when my friend took FOREVER deciding what he wanted to drink. Â We had 3 drinks and diet coke and our total bill was $12. Nice!
The place is dark and old like all the best dive bars are, but seems very clean. Â And ladies... the restrooms have been recently remodeled and are always clean. Â
I wouldn't drive across town just to go to this bar because it has about 10 doppelgangers near my house (on the west side), but I would definitely become a regular when I am in the area.
Loved this bar the moment I saw it from the street. Â Actually from the moment I heard what it was called.
The place looks pretty sketch from the outside. Â The only windows are glass block and the two square ones that are on the security doors, making this place look very strip club or speakeasy-esque.
Upon entering you will find one of the better dive bars in town. Â It smells like my parents' basement even with the ceiling fans on full blast. Â It is nice and cool in here. Â The crowd is friendly and easygoing. Â No one is going to stare you down for not being one of "them". Â Drinks are cheap. Â Hudy Amber on draft was a nice selection. Â There are TVs for watching sports. Â The bar is generally loud, but you can still hold a conversation with the people next to you. Â
This is a very comfortable hangout that the more pretentious have yet to stumble across, and it's got a great name!
