Everything is good! Best BBQ in Cincy. Skip Montgomery Inn.

I ate here last night and ordered ribs and brisket. Both items were pulled from a heat table where they must have been sitting for way too long. Both the ribs and the brisket were so dry they were almost completely inedible, even after soaking them in BBQ sauce. The previous time I ate here was not so bad, but based on this experience I will not return.

I am surprised to read any bad reviews of this place - BBQ REVUE IS FANTASTIC!

One of my favorite places to eat in Cinci.  The price is right, the staff is quick and helpful - i have never had more than one person wait in front of me ordering, lots of parking (somehow I always missed the rush w/the train....), and lots of seating to dine in.

Did I mention how cheap it is?!

Whenever I go to BBQ rev, I ALWAYS get the brisket.  It is tender and delicious.  All meat comes with sauce - mine is always on the side.  If you don't want yours already on the meat or are unsure if you'll like it (its a vinegar sweet smoked sauce, not a thick sauce.  very much in a carolina style sauce recipe...).  Make sure you order the brisket!!!!  I know there is a big pink pig out front, but the brisket is where its at.

My boyfriend has gotten the ribs in the past and devours them.  I like ribs, but I love brisket more.  Both are great here.

Some people seem to have complained about the pulled pork (being like a sloppy joe, the texture of the pulled meat itself...).  If you don't like carolina styles sauce, you probably won't like the pulled pork sandwich!  Try the chicken instead its also delicious.

They offer their portions in sandwiches and by the lb.  I didn't want a pound of brisket, but I didn't want a sandwich either.  So, ask for a sandwich portion with no bread.  Truth be told, after she weighed my brisket sandwich portion (sans bread), I asked her to slice a few extra pieces, and she did gladly.  It only added a dollar or two.  I actually couldn't finish the extra pieces she piled on the plate after requesting it but took it home for an awesome midnight snack (good luck resisting it that long when you get home!).

The sides are great, I always get the mac.  The cornbread is sweet and I love it - they didn't give me butter w/mine last time but you can get it if you ask.  The baked sweet potato w/cinnamon butter is fantastic.  Green beans are tangy and not too overcooked.  I would personally cook them less, however I am happy that they still ahve a green color and are not brown.  They probably cook them in lemon juice or something because they definitely have more flavor than just a water bean.

In my experience, I'd say the majority of their business is carryout.  Personally I like to dine in.  Even when I'm alone.  I get to enjoy my food while its still fresh and hot, and there is tons of seating (I always find a booth).  they have a tv that is usually on the in the dining room.  however yesterday it wasn't and a customer helped himself to turning on the baseball game while he ate his ribs.

Very laid back, friendly, CHEAP, straightforward place.  Don't miss it!!!
