Came here for my girlfriends 21st birthday, it had a nice crowd and a good drink special. The bartenders were knowledgeable of different drinks, the down part was I asked one bartender for a drink that I was buying for my cousin, I don't know if it was the fact that he didn't know how to make or he didn't want to, but he told me that he couldn't do it or I don't have the right stuff to make it. My cousins friend went to another bartender and be made it no problem. Another thing that made me upset was the fact that part of the drink special was an Orange Crush, supposedly this is a "signature drink". The first two I had were exactly what I wanted, but after awhile they started making it with pineapple juice; you can tell the difference between orange and yellow. I noticed this when I got my third one and it was not at all like the first two. That was a big one for me because if it is your signature drink, why charge 5$ for something that isn't "signature". All in all I had a fun time, I think next time I will try the other bars and give it a second chance.
Review Source:The name of this place is fitting: Bullies. Terrible way to treat customers. We came in to have cocktails, 7 of us. There were plenty of open seats available during the March Madness. Originally they sat us at a round table with a horrible view of the games (of course, that's why we were there---to have cocktails and watch the games). Seeing the open seating we asked to be moved to a table with a better view of the games. After waiting for the hostess to check, she came back and said "so long as you're out by 5:00". No problem for us. After seating, the hostess discovered we were just having drinks---and kicked us OUT of the seat we were sitting in and said he had to go back to the bad-view round table (per her manager---who didn't have the decency to tell us himself). Keep in mind, there were yet MANY other good seats available. Terrible way to treat your customers. Terrible management decision. We choose to leave instead. We could have had a little understanding if they were packed---but they were not. Avoid this place until they get their act together and learn a thing called "customer service".
Review Source:Food was ok, service was awful.  Server was nice but never around.  We sat forever waiting for water, which we asked for twice.  We sat forever waiting for salad dressing, extra plates for sharing, etc.  We had ordered and said we were sharing items, please bring extra plates.  No one did.  So we asked another server if he could get our waitress, and why  No one ever came.  While prices are a bit high, I can deal with that for the convenience of having the restaurant right there where the sports arenas are, but poor service is inexcusable.
Review Source:Went here with about 7 or 8 people on 7/21, and the service was terrible. Waitress took so long getting drinks and orders... we finally got our food, and did not have any utensils for about 10 minutes afterwards. We wanted to let her know that there was no more ketchup in our bottle but because she never came back and checked on us, we did not get the change. Food wasn't terrible, wasn't anything spectacular either and the service made me never want to come back again. Waitress blamed the "computer system" and said the "kitchen was backed up" but the place was not nearly crowded... there are way better places than this in the area. Prices were reasonable.
Review Source:The least crowded of the Xfinity bars. Â It doesn't have an identity like the other places and as such it is struggling comparatively. Â I haven't eaten here...or any of the Xfinity places, I just popped in for a quick drink and was surprised how empty it was considering how crowded the other places were.
Drink prices are high like everything in the complex.
I think the place needs to find an identity or start offering something to draw people in or its going to continue to find itself as the redheaded stepchild of the complex. Â Overall, it's an OK place, but with better options surrounding it, I won't be back unless they do something to draw me in.
I've pretty much reviewed all of Xfinity Live now with this place under my belt, except for the Spectrum Grill. Â And I hope you will excuse me for not reviewing the Spectrum Grill yet. Â I'm not exactly in a rush to get an overpriced $50 steak at the moment. Â
On the whole, Xfinity Live restaurants are hit or miss. Â Given earlier reviews, this particular place seems to hit big or miss big with people. Â Although reading some of the complaints makes me think that there are people who really have no idea what a bad experience is, or really were making the experience worse themselves by being generally naive. Â
On the whole, I will say that Broad Street Bullies Pub does not have the most creative menu at Xfinity Live, however they very well might have the best food I've eaten there thus far. Â The wings were actually excellent. Â Huge, juicy, good kick to them, I was impressed. Â The Pattison Ave burger I ordered on the Texas Toast with mushrooms and swiss cheese was a better burger than what I previously got at the NBC Sports Arena, that's for sure. Â Tasted some of the onion rings and fries throughout the night and found them standard. Â
Yes, I could see where this place might run into problems. Â We went on a very busy night, game 7 of the Sixers Celtics series. Â We were allowed to stay at a table during the whole game as long as we kept ordering drinks which was not a problem (and very nice of them I may add). Â At one point we were brought an order of wings that weren't ours, and didn't get the order that we did want until we asked the waitress again. Â It was one mistake which you can blame on the busy night. Â But it was rectified and our waitress was generally very good to us. Â
I'd give them 3 1/2 stars if I could. Â This place is a far better choice than NBC Sports Arena to eat in, that's for sure. Â Victory and PBR have their niches for the type of food they serve. Â If you are looking for straight bar fare, this is your choice. Â
It's been hot or cold with my experiences at Xfinity thus far. Â This was one of my better ones.
BULLIES Resturaunt:
So disrespectful!! The hostesses totally blew us off regarding the notification call to let us know our table was available. We were arrogonantly dismissed and told we were called, There was no issue with cell phone coverage, no call was ever made!!
Our Server was extremely frustrated, she did her best to expedite our meal so we didn't miss more of the ball game but it was obvious this hostess experience was a common event !!
Where is management??? Ended up talking to floor manager who clearly indicated they recognize this as an issue.. Â THEN FIX IT !!
Extremely bad experience at Bullies!!
Bottom line for 2 people:
$50 at the common bar area (1hr 30min)
$45 + tip at Bullies (15 min)
$68 game tickets.. Â didn't get to seat until 5th inning..
As bars go.. energetic and lots of choices but as the "experience" it is advertised to be.. yah it's loud, yah there are BIG screens but this dining experience shows me where their priorities are.
I went here with a large group, and for the most part, we had a fantastic time. However, everyone in our group was very put off by the deceptive lack of pricing on their drink menu.
They don't list prices on the drink menu. With each beer, the alcohol percentage is listed. It's deceptive because at a glance, these values look like prices. One of my friends ordered several beers, thinking that the beers were only about $4 each, but they ended up costing $6 each.
The worst offense was that someone ordered an Ommegang Seduction. Craft beer is obviously expensive, especially if you're at a bar, so he was expecting it to cost at least $10. However, what happened was ridiculous. The size of the bottle was not displayed on the drink menu. He assumed it was a 12oz beer, but it ended up being a 22oz bottle. Not only that, but when the bill came, we realized that the bottle was $33. THAT'S RIGHT, A SINGLE BEER COST $33, AND THE PRICE WAS NOT LISTED ON THE MENU.
Needless to say, we were infuriated. Looking back on it, we should have asked to speak with a manager. This lack of transparency about is insulting and deceptive, and they need to change it immediately.
This place is THE SH*T! Â I am bewildered by how poorly other Yelpers have rated this place. Â I was here yesterday for the Phillies/Flyers insanity and I was impressed I was even able to get a table. Â The wait time was supposed to be an hour and we got seated sooner than that. Â The host/hostess takes your phone number and they just call you when your table is ready. Â IS THAT NOT BRILLIANT?! Â You can go wherever you want in the meantime! Â Even another bar! Â Or outside! Â Or both! Â
When we sat down a waitress came over immediately and started telling us about the specials etc. Â Soon after sitting down we learned a third person would be joining us. Â No problem! Â A third chair quickly appeared at our table. Â How delightful! Â The service was excellent. Â I see others have said it sucked, but maybe they've shaped up since opening. Â
The only downside is they were out of several kinds of beer and the chicken pot pie looked really truly pathetic. Â (Keep it simple, order a burger) Â Also to use the restroom, you have to go out into the mayhem that is the main Xfinity space. Â That said, it was still a five star experience! Â
When the Flyers score everyone goes crazy, the people who work in the restaurant go around high-fiving everyone and get this... the bartenders get on the bar and start pouring free shots. Â Come on how can you read this and not wanna go?! Â I already cannot wait to come here next season. Â Anyway, if you're a Flyers fan consider wearing a diaper because you might pee your pants.
I went to Broad Street Bullies  with a friend for lunch on Friday, April 13 2012. I have to say not impressed at all. I ordered the Black and Orange burger, and it was horrible. I have eaten things blackened before but it didn't taste as bad as that. I am not sure who had the bright idea to put fennel on a burger but it does not work. I will probably give this place another shot and get a regular burger. My friend ordered the fish and chips, maybe we are too used to our lunches at Pete's Sake, but she did not like her lunch as well.
Review Source:I have to disagree with the existing negative reviews on here about this new place. I enjoyed sitting outside for lunch and I like that the food was significantly better than their competition: McFaddens. Â The line for a table outside was 20 minutes to a half hour despite arriving 3 hrs before the game. The hostess took our number and was able to call us when the table was ready, allowing us to look around the complex and have a round at one of the several bars inside. Food was almost spectacular, as this is affiliated with phillips of maryland it could have been even better! The burger of the month was cooked only medium well. I thought some customization would have made it better for everyone. A burger should not be a one size fits all endeavor. But it was delicious despite their refusal to make it just right. The bacon was too subtle, but the three patties were drenched in cheese and mushrooms. Certainly worth the $15, but they're one of those places that weren't going to risk undercooking it, and having it be not up to the individual's standards (or health standards). At least they told us they couldn't customize, because some places just pretend to anyway.
As for beverages, they have a bottle list a page long in size 6 font... but they were out of some things. My waitress once brought the wrong bottle, opened, but let me taste it before she chucked it and replaced it. Lots of potential here but I'd like to see some parts improve before I call it 5-star worthy.
This place is located in the Xfinity Live Complex. Although the complex is pretty fun, this bar is by far the worst bar in the complex. all the other bars have some interesting aspect about the,. but Broad Street Bullies is simply a regular sports bar with spacey waitresses and bouncers with rage problems.
I arrived at the bar around 7;00 to meet up with some friends. As I was  trying to enjoy my first beer I noticed a bouncer staring at me the entire time along with my group. Within 2 minutes this bouncer was screaming at members of my group asking for ID (we were carded to get into the complex). One member said no and instead of asking him to leave, 4 men literally attacked this person and threw him out. Another person in my group who had showed ID was also thrown out for simply sitting on the couch. I was told that I was drunk as well and asked to leave (I had 1 beer). The bouncers injured a disabled member of my group while throwing them out. I then notice the "bouncers" clearing a path through the restaurant. When we asked why they felt the need to clear a path for us the bouncer told me that "Not to worry. When we throw you out we will go THROUGH tables). Yes, that is the way a male bouncer poke to a sober woman. What a gentleman. The night ended with a bouncer taking the check for us and removing $60 before giving it to the waitress then saying we "stiffed" the waitress.
I would only suggest going to Broad Street Bullies if you're in the mood to be accosted.
0 stars. Will never return. Service SUCKED! Four of us ordered the same beer and waitress returned 15 mins later asking us again what we ordered because we confused her. Â Spoke to the manager about it taking so long, thinking "they're new, they probably want the feedback" and he was incredibly rude and not interested at all! At least pretend! When we asked about specials, the waitress had to get the manager to tell us there were none... What? Â Moved on to Victory, which was still bro-ish for Victory, but te service was noticeably better no matter your lifestyle choices. This is truly a tourist trap. No Philadelphians will return.
