Food is good, the wing sauce is DELICIOUS, beer was ice cold but the service is iffy. Usually I never have a problem sight the service but the last time I was there to watch the knicks in the playoffs so I anticipated that it would be busy but when we did actually get a table our waiter was nasty from the beginning. He barely checked on our table, we had to hunt him down and ask other waiters for refills and whatnot. My food was cold but I blame this mostly on the part of the waiter standing around and talking with other waiters the whole time, so I assume he forgot about our order. I know that this is not a usual thing with all of the waiters because I've had great service there from other people but that guys was horrible. I wish I took his name to make a formal complaint about him, but we just paid our bill and left, no tip, nothing.
I will definitely go here again but if that waiters there I will probably ask for someone else.
I mean come on, it's buffalo wild wings... if you are expecting a gourmet meal, then you have come to the wrong place...
I like coming here because I like the wings and I like the many many cute guys that come here to watch "the game".  It's a perfect spot for a young single group of boys/girls to go and have a fun time
Never ever order the chips and salsa.. it tastes like a jar of Ragu.
While my food was good! My Husband's chicken was horrible!
I'm rating this 2 stars strictly because of my anger and disappointment.
My Husband asked Brittany "What would you recommend for sweet and sour sauce" for his boneless chicken....She responds by recommending MANGO HABANERO!!! is she kidding?!?!?!?!? Those went went str8 to the garbage! I saw my husbnads face after he ate one and so I smelled it first, tehn just gave it a little tiny taste. My tongue was on fire!!!!!!!!!!! What a waste of money and Hubby left hungry! She's lucky she didn't answer the phone when I called 3x just now. The call went to voicemail. Well I hope they got my message! The chicken were screaming hot!!!!!!! Never knew HABANERO meant sweet and sour.
i like their wings. and this is a chain, so you know the quality of the flavors - right? so, i'm goign to write on other things.
we went on a big football night (it was when the patriots were playing the texans. From the game before, the place was packed. The waitstaff and hostess were very nice about explaining to us about the wait. They weren't sure if the people were there just for the previous game or not - and it ran OT - but we got a table right by the TV. There are screens everywhere - but the area near the bar is prime realestate for all sports watchers. They accommodated us well.
The beer selection was pretty good - with local and non-local offerings. We ended up getting a lot of the seasonal beers that night. Though they were busy, our waitress was attentive.
The restaurant used to be a bank and is now a restaurant - so it's unique in its lay out - it has great potential to be a quirky restaurant - but it's just a shame that a chain restaurant had to take over. I am not a fan of cookie cutters...
Sit at the bar on Saturdays for good service from Romeo. Â Get boneless wings so you are not disappointed. Â Make sure there is a good game on and you are set. Â Like the swivel high bacl bar stools and high ceilings, and nice bathroom. Â Place feels clean despite little kids throw fries sometimes, but I dont have issues with that. Â Better beer selection from a chain then you may have ever seen. Â Not only good tap selection, but they break out the 22oz rare bottles as well.
Review Source:Manager needs a talking to. I've never been to a sports bar where all the TVs were on 3 channels. Â The next issue was watching servers and the hostesses kicking people out of the bar because they weren't on the hostess list and not seated by a hostess. Â What the hey???? Isn't that a benefit of the bar area - Walk up and first come first serve??? Â Doubt I return here again.
Review Source:Worst service, food, and drinks ever.. Fiance had food poisoning after the nachos, friend ordered a specialty cocktail and it was void of any of the liqour mentioned. When she asked for a double with no ice it was still just friut juice. It took 1.5 hours to get a party of 10 seated because the hostess " forgot who i was and sat someone who looked like me" - a table of 4..Stay far far away... Port Chester location much better.
Review Source:Truly, the worst wings I've ever had. I came to this place a few months ago & ordered medium wings with bone in. The wings were hard, dry, & inedible. I chalked it up to just being a bad day for wings: maybe they had a new cook, etc.. Today I ordered the boneless wings & they were dry, hard, & inedible. Their specialty is wings & they suck. I can't imagine how bad the rest of the food is. I actually went back to complain, & it seemed to fall on deaf ears. If you want good wings that are cheap but better than average, try domino's or pizza hut wings.
Review Source:Truly the worst meal I have eaten in a long time. I made the mistake of getting boneless wings with three different sauces, ranging from medium to wild. The only good thing I can say was that the wild wings were, certainly, very hot. They were dry, over-breaded, and lacking in flavor other than heat. The potato wedges were seasoned incorrectly (we asked to modify), had terrible texture (soggy), and were served in a pathetic and small-looking paper tray.
Finally, it made me and my boyfriend sick the next day (and it's not because we're strangers to spicy foods).
Service was slow and inattentive; we were asked how our order was as we were almost 3/4 of the way finished; the only reason we even stayed to eat was because we had been on the road and were really hungry.
Lastly, the baseball game that was on was played such that it was loud and echoic but you couldn't understand anything the announcers said; either a terrible system or bad settings. The closest thing to redemption is a good draft list, but I get better wings from the average pub.
I love wings, but this was my first visit to BWW. Based on this experience, it will certainly be my last.
In terms of service, this place is 0 stars if you sit at a table, 4 stars if you sit at the bar. In terms of food, 2-3 stars. Â 3-4 stars for their beer selection. Â First time i went in, we sat at a table. I hate calling restaurants out for service based on one experience because i get that sometimes you have an off night or an off table. Â But it was clear that this was not an "off night" for the waiter. Â When we sat down, he was sitting at a booth talking to some girls. This didn't bother me, because flirting is one of the few benefits of working in the restaurant industry. Â What did bother me is that he didn't take our order for 25 minutes. Â Apparently it also bothered the table next to us because they got up and left. Â We finally got the waiters attention, but it didn't help much because he forgot our order and had to retake it, but only after we inquired how much longer it was going to be until we were served. Â Then he didn't bring our appetizer and when i asked him about it, he actually scolded me and insisted i never ordered it. Poor form. Â After that, the guy disappeared and after waiting another 20 mins to get our check, we had to get it from another waiter because our waiter was completely MIA. Â Overall we were at the place two hours, and spent the majority of the time waiting for our waiter to grace us with his presence. Â On a positive note, I did give the place another shot, but this time we sat at the bar. Â It was like night and day, the bartender was super quick and helpful. Â She wasn't on top of us, but was very attentive. Â She basically redeemed the place, and I have been back since and had good service (at the bar). Â In terms of the food, its essentially bar food. Â Unfortunately, Â the wings are not all that great, which sucks because it is a "wings" place. They have a ton of sauces, but the wings are weak, no meat. Â Overall, assuming you sit at the bar, you can expect to watch almost any sporting event you want, with good service, decent beer, and ordinary food. Â If you sit at a table, you are on your own, literally.
Review Source:I had the worst possible service here today. I came in around 4pm with my twin sister and we seated immediately. But, it took 10 minutes for our waiter to come by and take our drink orders. Since it was 4, we figured we would take advantage of their happy hour options. So we ordered 2 beers and Chris, our waiter, asked if we wanted draft or bottled, and we said draft, being aware of the price difference. 5 minutes later he came with our beers, in bottles, but we didn't think much of it. When he brought those out, he took our order and disappeared. We ordered an appetizer of spinach artichoke dip and then our wings. 20 minutes later our food came. The spindip came out at the same time as our wings and it was cold. I was ready to ask for another drink but there he went, standing near the bar watching a soccer game, rather than doing his job. After what felt like an eternity, I went to another waitress and asked to speak to the manager because I could not take it anymore. She politely ran to get him for me. When he came over I explained my disappointment with my service. He did nothing but get my check for me. It was awful and rather ridiculous. And to top it off, the waiter charged us wrong for our beers. When we took it up with him, he argued with us! Are you kidding me? It was seriously insane. I will never go back.
Review Source:While I do enjoy wings and guilty fatty food, nothing is particularly special about this place. On the other hand, this place is a nice franchise. I would come again, but it wouldn't be a place to travel to. If you happen to be nearby and have a wing craving, this is a great franchise, and this is a nice addition to the franchise.
Review Source:Wings are one of my guilty pleasures, and this place is amazing. I have been to several locations prior to my visit here, and this has been the best service I've had thus far in a Buffalo Wild Wings. The drink specials on Friday nights are the best, food is great. Even when I realize when I couldn't handle a certain spicy sauce that was on my wings, the server was more than happy to let me "exchange" my spicy wings for something I could tolerate eating. And I almost forgot to mention, they make great margaritas too.
This restaurant is perfect for those major sports events since they have a lot of tvs throughout the restaurant and two levels of space. Will come back for one of those, after work dinners and cheer on with the crowd on whichever sporting event that's on. I'm not really into sports, but it doesn't hurt to cheer on, especially after a couple of beers...or 7.
I normally wouldn't describe a franchise restaurant as a destination dining experience. But I'm a sucker for beautiful architecture and this space offers breathtaking dining on a budget.
The setting is an old bank that has been repurposed as a really pretty sports bar. The space is airy yet substantial. There are flat screen TVs EVERYWHERE. Plenty of tables and spacious bar. The second floor balcony has more tables and a private party space.
There's even a room within the old vault (which I didn't see but which has gotten raves from other Yelp reviewers). The ridiculously high ceilings open up to a spectacular second floor. I was up there for a private gathering that took place behind the arched, tall windows. To my surprise, it was very quiet; we could actually hear each other talk.
A glass of wine was eight bucks -- totally reasonable. The food struck me as pretty typical fried franchise fare. I tried the onion ring, wings, fries, nachos and they all seemed fine. Service is very friendly. I'll bet this place is really fun when there's a big sporting event!
I think this is one of my favorite BWW location, the place is two floors, it's rarely ever crowded, the servers are sometimes attentive, the food is always good and well the TVs are always tuned in to some important game which keeps the bf and  entertained whilst we inhale our food. At the end of our meals, we're always happy campers ;)
Review Source:This is the place to go for wings...I haven't had anything else, so I can only speak to what I ate. Â I had two types of wings...the salt and vinegar and the spicy garlic. Â Both were good, but the salt and vinegar was a little bland...it could have used way more vinegar and the spicy garlic wasn't that spicy. Â The redeeming factor in this meal was the awesome fried mushrooms and the LARGE selection of beer on top...I got Purple Haze, which I love and can't find every where...I'll have to try different wings next time.
Review Source:I've been there twice and the service is absolutely horrible! I'm never going there again. It took the server both times forever to even greet us and get our drink order. Once our food finally came out it was cold, we then mentioned we would like our food hott, and they sent us back the same food microwaved. I'm in the service industry and I was beyond disappointed.
Review Source:Unhealthy goodness!
The staff are very friendly here.
It is spacious with lots of tvs. So many beers on tap, and wow the food is WOW. The wild sauce is awesome as well as the mango habanero. SOOO GOOD. Yes i know it's unhealthy, but I don't care. This place is a great place to go with friends to watch sport games.
As someone who doesn't have a fancy sports package for the TV, I really like the bustle and energy of BWW to watch my hometown team each week. Â The staff is always really friendly even when it means watching people camp out for hours like zombies in front of the screens.
I think the dry rubs are great and my favorite thing is actually the soft pretzels!
Their sweet offerings are very limited (ice cream and one kind of cake.) Â So if you're ever craving dessert, it's the one downside to BWW.
Damn, how downtown White Plains has changed.
BWW is actually a cool place. It is a typical sports bar with lots and lots of TVs and pretty good food. It's overwhelming if you're a fan, you'll have a hard time paying attention to a game...there's a lot going on.
The service was okay, not great but passable. The food surprised me, it was good. My only issue were the fries. They were super salty and tasted like McDonalds fries. I'm not a fan of McDonalds.
Anyway, I'd be back. It's cheap, it's clean and it's a cool spot to go with friends to catch a game.
I know Yelp is the official producer of Chain Restaurant Haterade, so I feel like my peers will chew me out for this review.
Let me say this first: NOT ALL CHAINS ARE BAD. There's a reason why they remain popular. In fact, there are times where I would prefer a chain over an independent establishment for the following reasons:
1. Price
2. Predictable quality
3. Predictable service
4. Casual atmosphere.
Take last night for example. We were looking for somewhere to dine after bowling in the somewhat far away White Plains Lanes, so we walked back to Downtown.
We trolled Mamaroneck Avenue for a while and almost ended up in its namesake town... all the places were too expensive, too crowded, or too fancy (I had on a Nyan Cat t-shirt and jeans). One restaurant (as my eloquent significant other pointed out) looked like it served bears on the menu.
After a while, we gave up the search and went into Buffalo Wild Wings.
The place is loud, huge, and cavernous... but the service was already quite friendly. The menu is nothing fancy; it's really just burgers, sandwiches, wings, and tacos. It's a total bro place, and they have a ton of beer.
Most dishes can be ordered with your choice of sauce, and I got the buffalito tacos with Carribbean Jerk sauce, which the waitress warned me about. I convinced her that I would survive, and, well, I'm writing this review, aren't I?
The food was quite good, not as heavy as typical chain food is. The fries were tasty and crispy. My only complaint is that comparatively, portions are small, but for the price... can't really say anything.
There are TEE VEEs everywhere blasting all kinds of games, including a trivia game. Music is loud, chatter is loud, but all in all it's a fun and solid place.
To all the Yelp hipsters: obviously this place can't be too bad; I just wrote an essay on it!
This is my third visit to a Buffalo Wild Wings, and marks the third different location i've visited, yet only the first time I've had the wings (go figure). Â Previous visits were watch The World Cup and/or other sporting event while away from home and drink beer. Â This visit was because it was conveniently located next to Target and my fiance was jonsing for some wings.
Where BWW really shines is in their beer selection--probably the best of any chain I can think of. Â Where BWW really lacks is everywhere else. Â OK, maybe not the ambiance which was perfect for sports watching, and this particular location in a redesigned bank building has it's own allure, but the food, service, location of the tables, etc. were all pretty bad. Â Frankly, with the word "wings" in your name, you'd think the titular dish would be where they shine, but they don't. Â The sauces are good enough, but the wings are kind of like those from Dominoes (AKA: crappy). Â Our waitress wasn't particularly bad, until we wanted to pay our bill and leave which took about half an hour. Â
It's my own fault for coming really. Â The highlight of the night was really when the waitress offered us one of their special "hefe weasles." Â At least it was cheap....
BARTENDER/MANAGER WITH BAD ATTITUDE
I went with two friends watch the game Manchester United vs. Barcelona last saturday May 28/2011 around 3pm.
We asked three beers but one of my friends is not resident in the USA and forgot his passport in my house.
Then the waitress called the bartender (maybe it is also manager) to see if he agreed to serve as my friend with ID (which I agree 100%).
He reached across the table and asked in these words:
- Are you 21 or older?
My friend replied:
- I'm 32
Then, the bartender/manager said:
- I'm not asking how old you are but if you're 21 or older. Give me an answer yes or no if you want a beer.
My friend does not speak english very well and did not understand the attitude and angry facial expressions but told the bartender/manager to forget and bring a Coke.
The waitress was very embarrassed and apologized after the bartender/manager gone. Sure, she had no fault and deserved our 15% tip.
What this guy did was very wrong and I think he should apply to be a policeman in the city instead of working in a restaurant.
One more observation: the restaurant was almost full in the ground floor but not enough servers. Watch for this problem restaurant staff.
With the abundance of bars with good beer selections and good bar food, why would you waste your money on a chain? BWW is OK, but this location in specific (as mentioned by another reviewer) is quite bad. Service is pretty horrid, the food came to us cold or near cold. Overall, not good for a BWW, and especially in a town full of bars that serves bar food ten times better, just go down Mamaroneck for some real food.
Review Source:I'm usually ok with BWW, but I really don't like this spot in particular. Â The lighting is horrible if you get seated at the booths (which is where I like to sit). The lights were so bright and hot that they interfere with your meal! My friends didn't even want to take pictures because we know the lighting would make us look pale and gross! However, outside of the booth area, the middle section of the restaurant/bar is really dark and the tables are so close to each other! It's pretty much one or the other. Â The drinks were pretty bad for their price. Â The Cosmos were tiny and didn't taste right and the margaritas had barely any alcohol and we filled up on ice and juice! On top of all that, since it's located at the City Center, you have to pay to park in the garage. Â Too bad it sucks, other nearby BWW are much better but this one has a good location near bars/nightlife.
Review Source:This was an unfortunate addition to the downtown White Plains area.
They destroyed the ambiance that the building used to have. Â It was a gorgeous old bank and when Zanaros was there they used it create a soothing vibe.
Now it is all black painted cardboard and huge ass TVs.
The servers are god awful and the food is normally cold.
Plus the clientele? Â If you want to watch drama unfold go here, cause you won't be able to hear the person you are with but you will get to see all the fights.
I am counting down the days till it is gone.
Buffalo Wild Wings should be everything that I hate about a restaurant: a chain, serving American food, broadcasting sports at me at seven different angles, and a clientele which could be graciously described as having less than respectful attitudes toward the fairer sex.
I don't even like wings.
But somehow, this place captured my heart. Â Maybe it was the beer selection, maybe it was the sauce selection, but my best guess was that the sheer vastness of the former bank building simply left me in awe. Â That, or the fact that I'm coming back on a weeknight to at least have a shot of getting to eat in the vault. Â I want to try and shut the 3-foot-thick door. Â So cool, so cool.
(As an aside, I'd really like to know why the spiciest sauces have to be the worst tasting. Â Blazin' is apparently bitter and terrible (information from the boy), so I skipped that one and went down to Wild, which was supposedly a buffalo sauce, but was too tomatoey, and not vinegary or buttery enough. Â It had kick, but wasn't killer. Â I also had the Mango Habanero, which was about as hot as the Wild, and considerably tastier, except for the awful bitter aftertaste. Â Please, someone make something tasty and fiery, I don't want to have to sacrifice flavor just because I'm a capsaicinophile. Â The Honey BBQ was A+, however.)
Meh. I know it's a chain and I shouldn't expect too much, but I thought the wings would be bigger, tastier, well, "wilder." For what it is, it was fine, and I have no complaints about the service which was fast and efficient. The flavor selection was decent: our group got Spicy Garlic, Asian Zing, Mango Habanero, and Teriyaki as well as Medium and Hot. Asian Zing was the clear winner (sanctioned by 2 American-born Chinese dudes in our group). We went on 50 cent wing night (Tuesday) so the price was right.
Review Source:While in theory, it is a great place to watch a sporting event due to the abundance of TV"s spread throughout, its almost impossible to get a table without a wait of 2+ hours during big events. I would stick to off nights.
The wings are just OK... a bit small but they do come in many flavors (the Spicy Garlic being my fav). However, the beer menu is quite impressive and I would feel completely comfortable bringing any beer snob I know here.
A fun sports bar in an old bank building = awesome place!
I'm a big fan of this chain and love how you can quite literally get sensory overload watching every game on a particular day.
The food is good, not great but good. Â It's more of the atmosphere in this establishment.
They have a Champions Room in the old bank vault, pretty cool looking. Â There is a hockey scoreboard with tv's on it. Â There are tv's literally everywhere. Â It has two levels and a bar to the right.
For a new location, the waitstaff really seemed to have it together. Â Everyone is friendly and geez it's hot wings man! Â Great spot, hope to come here a lot more often.
