Oh Burger King, why can't you be consistent? I mean, I get it... individual owners, this location just outside Great America and mainly drive through, but STILL - maintain a standard!!!!

We have eaten in the BK a few times because of the playground for our young daughters, and here are the things we have noticed:

    1) Their white socks (which they're required to wear to play) always end up black after romping in the play structure... it's called LYSOL, managers, and it's used to wipe up dirt and grime every once and a while.

    2) The staff caters to the drive through window far more than anybody inside. It is NOT uncommon to wait 3 to 5 minutes just to place an order, and even longer when you're actually waiting for the food.

    3) The food is NOT fresh - ordered a chicken sandwich that was colder than my soda. Really? You can't just throw it in the fryer to humor me?

    4) English is definately second language. While I support the use of Spanish whole heartedly, I don't speak it myself and shouldn't be expected to in order to place my order.

Pick up the quality - not only for us as patrons but for the reputation of BK itself. This place is a shame, and not at all what I'd expect from an otherwise decent fast food option.

I'll note first that the rest of the restaurant is average Burger King, not always the best, not usually the worst, but I'm giving this location a single star for sheer stupidity.

You can't stop a business from doing dumb things.  Take a Burger King that's unusual, one that has a space-train themed playland with tubes, slides, and all sorts of interesting little nooks and crannies for kids to chase each other around in, and play in, almost to the point where you can lose track of your kids in it for a minute or two.  A place where you're willing to spend 45 minutes driving to.  It's unusual, different, and it seemed pretty popular the times we'd been there.

Now fast forward to the stupid part.  Strip all that out.  Leaving a huge playland room, you instead put into it this tiny little play structure that is big enough for occupancy by maybe four kids.

Okay, I can imagine that the old playland was getting pretty beat up, it was old and not in the best of shape.  But that was because it was *popular* and a real attraction for the kids and families.  Taking it out and replacing it with something trivial is a sure way to get rid of those of us who were willing to come and choke down mediocre fast food in the pursuit of interesting places for our kids to play and socialize.

If we're in the area, you'll find us across the street at McDonald's (ugh) or maybe the Burger King That Has A Clue On Highway 50 In Kenosha, because both of them have freakin' fantastic playlands.
