Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

I re-visited the Olive Garden at the request of my dad (again!), and this place is still a sesspool.

Take really bland food (which was again served cold), terrible service, and indifferent management staff, and I don't get how this place stays afloat.

Other OG's in the area (Vernon Hills, for example) are light years ahead of this place in terms of flavor and service. Even though I see a number of reviewers that feel the same, it seems our harsh critisms and suggestions for improvement go unanswered.

Shame on you corporate, for letting this go on!

YUK..  Food poisoning people! I went on a wednesday evening with my dad and small niece. I ordered glass of wine and some combo plate with lobster ravioli and shrimp fettucine alfredo and more fried shrimp. The fried shrimp didn't seem terrible it just tasted like they deep-fried it with my neices' chicken fingers. The raviolis were hard and had been made days before and left in the fridge. They were barely warm only because my plate was so Friggin HOT!  Against my intuition I tasted them, YUCK, Only ate that half one I tasted The alfredo tasted just like the chicken fingers so I gave up, considering I'm allergic to those proteins I know better, thank goodness! My father, he can eat most things and does :) barely ate half of his alfredo dish, said he would eat leftovers. My nieces food was the funniest, her side of mashed potatoes was definitely about a week old!!!!  It sat there on the plate, I poked at it and I swear it tried to eat the fork.  So I paid the 57.00 bill HA and left with a box of salmonella !  The waitress was very nice but she needs some glasses to see what she is bringing to her table....  coughYUCKcoucgh...  spent the next 2 days VERY close to a bathroom. Not the funnest when your trying to visit your family.  coughYUCKYUCKcough... squirt... LOL

First and last time ever going to this restaurant! Food tasted WORSE than a frozen dinner... YUCK!
