I really like this shop a lot. I even take a train and a bus to get here (everywhere else I go for groceries I can walk to).The perogies are great, and reasonable priced, as are the soups. I've also bought smetana (sour cream) here, which I hadn't had since my time in Ukraine! There are Amish products, but it seems more Polish than Amish. I have asked how to properly heat some of the frozen items (perogies, blintzes, and they've been helpful and patient with my questions. I haven't had the produce here.
The Addison bus (the 152) stops right outside, if you're coming on public transport.
I only go there regularly because it's close to my house. Ever since they changed to 'organic and Amish' Â the quality has not changed, the prices just went up. The produce is pretty nasty, I only buy it as a last resort. The soups and sausages are pretty good. I would not go out of my way to go there. Also, I've been a customer for over 5 years and still get a very cold service from them.
