Downtown so the prices were a little more just for bar grub.  The service was A-Ma-ZING compared to other bars- so maybe paying a little more made up for my water never being empty.

The cards game was on and the clientele kept us super entertained but it never got out of control or rowdy.  Conversation was sporadic anyway with my dinner date so it mattered little that the game was so good.

Plenty of seating as well as TVs.

Good for watching a game, Food and service-Not so much.  Cheese sauce from a can, enough salt on the nacho chips to choke a horse, my fries were as cold as my beer.

Good food, great CARDs fans atmosphere. Only downside was that drinks specials don't start until AFTER the game starts. A lot of the items I wanted to order were on the 'after 5pm' like ribs and hot brown sandwiches. *Backwards* Our server was slow, therefore I deducted one star. Easy walk from KFC Yum Center.

Visited Champions at about 12am and they were an hour away from closing. We felt terrible but we had been driving all day and finally checked into a hotel room right before eating. Our server was nice, just not very attentive and it could have been because of the time.  I'm sure he wanted to go home by now.  The food was okay, nothing too special but not the worst.  Overall, it was an average experience.

Went to a convention and the lunch the KY International Convention Ctr served up was missing all kinds of items...so Champions saved lunch:)  So glad they were close by.

They were fast and the cheeseburger and fries were good.

I even got to my next session on time.

Parked at a near by parking garage and was doing the 'bar hopping' before heading to 4th st Live (thinking we'd save some money), but this bar didnt have much going on and we ordered 2 well drinks, $15. Way overpriced. The clubs only charge $5 a drink. Looks like a typical sports bar, people were friendly, but wont be going back.

Perfect hideout for locals at Tourist Prices.

If you are looking to find a seat, great beer selection, and decent food for a big game this is the place. I have always been able to walk in and sit down even for the UofL/ UK Final Four game. Locals do not typically go here because of the hotel prices and it is pricey.

The service has always been attentive and there are two TV's and a projector on every wall. Ditch Fourth Street Live standing and come check out Champions.

Extremely average. Definitely better places to eat in downtown Louisville.

First impression: I walk in, first thing I see...the not so cheerleader looking hostess in a cheaply constructed cheerleader getup.  I look past this and proceed to the bar, order a margarita specifically with top shelf tequila.  What do I get? Well tequila.  What happened?  I became ill and had to rush home.  Thanks for ruining Champions and margaritas for me.

Champions markets itself as a bar but not a single person was drinking a mixed drink in the entire place when we walked in.  I ordered a shirley temple and they made it with a weak cherry syrup instead of grenadine.   The menu however, while simple and classic, delivered what it promised and sometimes bar food is the perfect end to a long Monday.

Waited 20 minutes for the host to return to her station and seat us, another 20 for our server to arrive at the table, and then another 20 for a beer to be served. The place itself is an average, over-priced sports bar, but they seemed either dramatically under-staffed, or very inattentive.

Champions is exactly what you'd expect from a bar in a hotel lobby- So-so food, high prices and drinks available.

Had the nachos and club sandwich. Both were underwhelming.

The real plus of Champions is that it's a great spot to grab a beer - there are several on draft - if you don't want to venture outside of the hotel.

If you want a beer to unwind after a day of travelling, Champions is your spot. If you want to experience Louisville, I suggest walking a few blocks to Fourth Street or beyond.

Food was okay, but not great (and part of it cold).  A little on the pricey side for what it was.

Looking for a place to watch the Butler NCAA game when I was heading downtown to the Louisville Beer Store,I stopped in here. They only had one bartender? She was slammed but doing as well as anyone could. The chili was fine, the buck off drafts was acceptable so all was good.Plus, Butler won!

I like sportsbars because the atmosphere is laid-back and the food is usually palatable. I always feel this way about Champions because their menu isn't too ambitious, but it's also not too uninspired.

The grilled fish was great with delightful dirty rice and their burgers left nothing to be desired.

My only notes to this particular local:
    1) Wow, pretty bad choice to make the sports bar right across from this  deliciously classy restaurant serving $500 bottles of wine, huh? It's the Marriott.
    2) What does a girl have to do to get silverware in these types of establishments? The hostess writes in the number of parties and then crosses of the section, seats us, and then I practically have to wave her down to get silverware and a napkin. The waitress certainly doesn't want to bring them.

Desperately searching for a decent sports bar to watch Da Bears we ended up at Champions. My needs were pretty simple. Sunday Ticket, which means that they get all the NFL games, good beer (read as something other than the typical Bud and Lite swill) and good food. Upon entering Champions, we knew we were in the right place. Tons of games on their many TVs, that were even labelled with the current game and what would be on next. Our server showed up quickly and let us know that all beers were half off and delivered a speaker that could be tuned for the audio of any game. I had the wings and my wife had the BBQ chicken and they were both great. A few rounds later and another Bears comeback, we were pretty happy. We kept laughing at the many places we struck out with on Fourth Street. If I were local, I would watch every game here.

Did I mention that they have every game, audio and all beer was half price on game day? Championship material.
