Restaurant is busy with lots of cars and great buzz of activity that is very representative of the community. Â Food is very fresh. Â Parking is abundant--great if you have a vehicle that is hard to back-up. Â Â Recommend the following dishes: salmon, rice and broccoli, sweet potato fries, and Caribbean Salad. Â Service could be a little bit faster. Â I really like the Ziosk console because it is very convenient and fast for settling the check. Â Would recommend a back or ESC key on the games which cost $2. Â Ordering function on the console did not work. Â Good for a work in progress though. Â Fries could be a little more crisp. Â Bathrooms are well maintained. Â Otherwise, overall a good dining experience.
Review Source:On the plus side, service was outstanding. Â Amy was my server in the lounge area and she could not have been more friendly and attentive, checking just frequently enough to see if I needed anything. Â On the down side, Chili's new taco pizza was one of the worst things I've had in a restaurant in some time -- underseasoned ground beef and globs of congealed cheese on a soggy crust. Â There's no Tex-Mex flavor to warrant the name "taco" in the title. Â Should have stuck with the tried-and-true Southern Smokehouse burger. Â (And, speaking as someone who wanted to get some work done while I ate, I wish this Chili's joined the wave of chain restaurants with available wi-fi.)
Review Source:My family eats at Chili's in our town regularly. We usually order the custom combos or the dinner for two. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the food. The steaks my daughter and I ordered were over-grilled despite asking for medium-rare. My wife's margarita chicken was also dry. Nonetheless, our waitress was courteous and pleasant. We'll probably go to the Viet place next time.
Review Source:Visited 6/11/12 with 2 friends. I had a burger (tad bit overdone) with a side of fries and avocado but they remembered my whole wheat bun and sauteed onions. My friends had the appetizer trio and fajitas; everyone was satisfied and said they would get the same meal again. Bathroom and dining area clean and one guy was sweeping nonstop. The only problem: the DNA issue. I cringe when I see servers or bartenders doing anything that might get their DNA in my food or drinks. If I managed any food establishment I would aways ask them to never eat or drink in clear view of customers or touch your face/hair while serving them. Wash hands frequently. Anyway, the problem was the bartender who was sweating profusely. He pulled up the bottom of his shirt, wiped his face and kept right on working...yuck! Luckily we were not interested in alcohol.
Review Source:Chilis is a chain restaurant and the food is the same as it is at any other Chili's. I like it, the employees are nice, but they always seem stressed. They bring the food to your table in a timley manner. The restaurant itself gets packed in here very quickly! Nevertheless, Its the best quality per price place to eat after you come out from the movies so there are always huge group of teens, and other annoying people. It's a great place to grab a drink during the week, but on the weekend be ready to wait for a table
Review Source:Ok yes it's a chain restaurant but in this area that's about all you have to choose from is chain restaurants so this is the one I prefer. Â I have been here a few times and each time the food has been good. Â I have tried different things each time, burgers, ribs, and appetizers all good for a chain restaurant. Â What I was really impressed with was the service which was outstanding. Â Each time the server did a great job and the food came out pretty quick. Â This place is a solid three stars, I would probably give it more but I can't bring myself to give a Chili's anymore than 3 stars.
Review Source:The hardest part about this review is admitting I have actually been here to review it. Â The worst part is, I have been here more than once....
One time they gave us happy hour prices at our table, which gives it the extra star. Â But outside of that:
Parking is horrible, so you need to take the metro.
Even for a Chilis the food is blah and the service is crap.
I once did that full meal for 2 for $30 deal (its why I went), and I felt I got ripped off! Â At $30! Â
Even when wearing a hoody and crappy jeans I feel overdressed.
-- Would I go again? Â Only when I find a coupon for free food.
This was the best servce I've gotten in a long time at a restaurant. Â Our server was prompt, very friendly and gave us undivided attention even though his whole section was full. Â The other server working in that section would stop by our table and offer to fill up our drinks and make sure we were doing okay as well. Â
Our food came out promptly, our drinks were never empty and fast service all around so we didn't have to lolli-gag around while the server was doing god knows what like other places along Route 1. Â
Definitely be driving up here more often if this is the experience I'll receive!
To quote Mel Brooks' History of the World, "Nice. Not thrilling, but nice."
I might have been more thrilled if I were enjoying those top shelf margaritas for $4.95 that they advertise on their signs, but it was only 11:45am.
I do like the super-thin chips in the chips and salsa, and I had a decent Caribbean salad for lunch. This isn't the kind of establishment that serves health food, so I can't be too harsh about my salad not knocking it out of the park.
Our server was very attentive with our refills, and promptly responded to all the requests that 5 different people might have.
We have visited this Chili's numerous times, as it's parking lot and restaurant size are much better than the one in Kingstowne. Â
We were promptly seated and a waiter came quickly to take our drink orders. Â I drink iced tea and always ask for lemon. Â He not only brought the iced tea but also brought a bowl of sliced lemons. Â And he was very attentive to refill my tea as it started to get low.
We had the 2 for $20 menu and everything was as advertised. Â The food came out in a timely fashion and was fresh and hot. Â Both the waiter and the manager checked in with us but were not obtrusive with their visits. Â And, we paid with a gift card and cash and our server was very pleasant and flexible with this payment method.
All in all, a pleasant evening in a local fern bar restaurant.
We went there last night and boy have things changed. I love chips and salsa, but for what ever reason, last night the salsa came out looking and tasting like canned tomato juice that had cayenne and cumin poured in it. There were no chunks of veggies in it as what we had come to expect from past visits. Â My daughter ordered the Quesadilla Explosion, which is usually her favorite, but last night it looked like a pile of mush. Â Wilted ice burg lettuce and a blob of an unidentifiable mix. This dish is usually made with fresh mixed greens, black beans, cheese, corn, tomatoes, etc, but not last night. Â I have to admit I was very disappointed. Â I think we will give Chili's another try, but not for a while.
Review Source:The food was good and the waiter was nice, we gave him a 15% off meal total tip. Â But the thing that messed it up for me was. The next morning my son had FOOD POISONING. The one time out of a long time we go out to eat and this happens. Now he has to suffer with this from the stupid hamburger. DO NOT EAT HERE. IF U CARE FOR THE HEALTH OF UR STOMACH.
Review Source:It is what it is and what it claims to be. Â Chili's is not trying to tell anyone they are Citronelle nor are they trying to be anything else but Chili's. Â Their corn chips are the best, made fresh in house and can be ordered salt free, a small maybe 2 OZ serving of guacamole is 1.59 not four dollars. Â They have a great burger for 9.99 that comes with some pretty good fries. Â For some reason they still allow smoking at the bar, 2010 can't come soon enough in Virginia, for crying out load it's banned in Italy! Â What's taken Virginia so long? Â My friend had a grilled chicken salad with a Mexican theme that was also good. Â Service is not bad either at the bar and you can get a beer if you want one and bottomless soda fill-ups! Â You won't go to the poor house eating at Chili's it's cheap decent food for the Walmart crowd. Â As Marie Antoinette once said, "Even royalty enjoys an occasional romp in the gutter!
Review Source:I went to the Alexandria Chili's on Richmond looking for a decent burger as an alternative to cheap fast food alternatives (McDonald's, BK, etc.) and over-hyped chains (Five Guys is NOT In-N-Out Burger, folks).
Having had some mediocre to bad experiences at other chains nearby (Outback Steakhouse and Famous Dave's BBQ come to mind), I was pleasantly surprised by Chili's. Â I ordered the "big mouth bites" (i.e. - sliders) from the To Go counter, and was pleased at how courteous the cashier was. Â My food also arrived rather quickly (albeit not too quickly in the sense that it had been sitting around).
The hamburgers were fresh, juicy, and had a good amount of flavor (something you need when you order them plain with ketchup like I do).
So if you're looking for a decent hamburger for under $10, I'd definitely recommend this Chili's.
So, I went to Chili's for lunch today. I just wanted a hamburger so, since we were in the area, my co-worker suggested Chili's. They had burgers, so I was in.
I've been to this Chili's lots of times since work is just a short drive away. This Chili's has decent waitstaff who brought us our second sodas before we could even ask - always a plus. Like the other times I've been there, the waitstaff was nice and fast.
The food is what you'd expect. I've had everything from the burgers & sandwiches, to the salads and desserts which are all good enough for a workday lunch. FYI, my favorite salad is the grilled chicken one with the quesadilla wedges. Haha. I guess it's not really a healthy salad, but I like it. It's what I get the most when I go to this Chili's.
Today, I had the mushroom and swiss burger cooked to medium perfection. The burger is on the fatty, greasy side, just how I likes it. It also has a good amount of swiss without overwhelming it, and the shrooms were cooked the way I like them, but not OVER sauteed as some places tend to make them. The fries have the skins on and were crisp and tasty. Nothing spectacular with the fries, but it hit the spot.
All in all, a pleasant lunch and, while it's not one of my all-time faves, I'll definitely be back when I need some Chili's.
First off, yes my friends and I were a little tipsy when we got here. I normally don't review such unremarkable spots but our server was a total prick. I've always gone to Chili's because the "oldtimer with cheese" is reliable. I'm not going to lie--I love their southwest eggrolls too. Bonus: on this night they added baby burgers to the menu. They were absolutely rockin' for what they were. If our server wasn't such a jerkface I would have given this joint four stars! At one point he actually slammed my drink down and kept walking by. If it were up to me, I wouldn't have even tipped him.
