Cincy Steak & NO Lemonade.

DO:
-Any sandwich will come with fries!
-Italian beef. A lot of meat for the price.
-I really like soft, slightly soggy fries, so I would recommend that (call me crazy).
-The fries are lightly seasoned (somewhat like Cajun style)

DON'T:
-Skip the lemonade, unless you enjoy syrupy drinks.

PARKING:
-Street parking. Might be tough during school the year.

Let me open this up by saying I'm a huge, like huge, italian beef and philly cheesesteak fan. Having been to Chicago and Philly numerous times, I cannot help but to love these iconic sammys.

First, the Italian beef is extremely large. At first I thought it was the bread, but the serving of meat was equally monsterous. Up in Chicago land, you have the option to dip the sammy in the beef broth, but here it will always come semi-dipped due to the meat juice (the soggy bread is definitely a part of the full experience, so give it a try). The sammy is topped with giardiniera hot peppers. These little suckers will quickly build up in spiciness, so watch out. It's not perfect, but it was close enough to the real thing.

The second sammy is the cheesesteak with everything except mayo. By everything I mean: tomato, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, lettuce, and white cheese (idk the exact type of cheese). When it comes to cheesesteaks, I'm a purist: bread, steak, and cheese whiz. That's all I need, but here they do it a bit differently. The green peppers, mushrooms, and onions are chopped up and mixed in with the meat. Then it is topped with lettuce and tomato. And somewhere between all of that is the cheese. The overall flavor is very different from the original philly cheesesteak, so keep that in mind.

They also have gyros, chicken nuggets, chicken strips, cheese burgers, and super tacos stuffed with fries.

Just skip the lemonade.

$8.99 for sammy+lemonade+fries.
$6.99 for sammy+fries.

The food is all you can pay attention to here. There is nothing flashy or fancy about it, even the signature lemonade is all just simple sugary goodness, so do not judge it for lack of class or finesse.

That said, the steak sandwich, fries, and lemonade combo for about $9 is about the best thing you can get in Clifton for greasy, heavy food(aside from Papa Dino's Bacon Cheese Fries). So if you want to get something to fulfill that craving, or need to wake up out of that hangover, this is the place to go.

Pretty fast service, and it's not friendly in the professional type, but respectful in that sense that they know they are serving you food, so if you're nice to them, they'll treat you right. Yeah, that kind of thing. Definitely a positive experience, but if you're looking for the whole shabang, this is not your joint.

I'm not going to say much about this place's food because I have only eaten here once and wasn't a fan, but what I did get addicted to was their freaking wondrous, cold and delicious frozen lemonades(in many added flavors)! I have to get one of these bad boys every week while I'm on my way back to the office from meeting clients down town. Today I was able to introduce this most awesome frozen concoction to my coworker and she is now hooked! Like they say "when life give you lemons make lemonade" and its even better when it's frozen!!!!

I enjoyed my experience with Cincy Steak and Lemonade. I got a cheese steak, fries and lemonade. The steak was tasty, although the seasoning on the meat was a bit odd for this type of sandwich. It had a ton of cheese and almost enough mayo. The fries were fries, nothing special, just something to break up the sandwich. Now the lemonade, that was interesting. First off, it was a slush. I wasn't expecting that. They offer many flavors, I got strawberry, of syrup to add to your drink. I enjoyed it immensely, just be warned it is more like a syrupy ice drink then a nice refreshing lemonade.

The store is small and very cramped, I took my order to go. It is for sure a dive. If you are worried about cleanliness, I might avoid. Luckily I don't think there is anything wrong with a little honest dirt.

The menu covers a wide range of items, from steaks to tacos to chicken wings. They have a bunch of different lemonades and shakes.

The problem for me was, as I was eating my sandwich all I could think of was Penn Station. Everything I got would have been better AND been cheaper. I'm happy I tried Cincy Steak and Lemonade, and I'd go back, I guess, if it were really convenient.

Don't let their name fool ya, their "milkshake brought this boy to the yard" and it was great. And they did charge me, ha ha. This place is situated on the same side as Bogart's and you can see the neon in the windows long before you step inside and smell the mix of gyro meat and other yummy stuff. I wish I hadn't eaten dinner before I visited, but I still had room for a shake; at least I thought, cuz geesh, they are pretty large. No need for supersizing.

My Pineapple shake ($3.50) http://www.yelp.com/biz_… came wrapped in plastic wrap with an orange slice and cherry through the straw. Neat! The pineapple flavor was nice and light as I expected. I quickly slurped it down wishing I would have saved some for later.

The bench seats aren't the most comfortable but you'll probably be on your way long before you notice. Their menus stated that they would soon be open 24 hours, so this place might be great afterparty spot post Bogart's concert.

Walking into Cincy Steak & Lemonade feels like walking into a NYC late night eatery. You'll find neon signs on the window announcing what you can get inside ("Milkshakes! Lemonade!"), white tile floors, white walls with signed pictures of unknown celebrities who had been to the place tacked up on the walls and a bunch of quick talking and quick working employees behind the counter.

Basically it's a dive, but what a dive!

They don't lie in their name - they do steak and they do lemonade. There's a giant board above the counter listing all the food they do from burgers to sandwiches to chicken wings to chicken tenders and even a "Super Taco," whatever that is. To your right are the flavors of milkshakes and lemonade they make, which include really awesome flavors like pineapple milkshake or mix-in combos of lemonade. Pretty damn fantastic.

I went up and asked the guy behind the counter what's the best lemonade. He hands me a pre-made strawberry/pineapple lemonade that was sitting on the counter:

"This," he says.
"Really?" I ask. "You're not just giving it to me because you already made it."
"No, I made it for a friend but I'll make her another. I promise, it's great," he said.

A little sketchy but so is the place (just a little) so I went with it. And you know what, it was great! A delicious combination.

The milkshakes ($3.50) and lemonade ($2.50, damn good pricing), come in plastic containers and are giant! The employees then put plastic wrap over the top and around the straw, so you can take it to go without spilling! Brilliant! They even include a garnish on top, like an orange for the fruit lemonade or an Oreo Cookie for the Oreo Cookies milkshake! Brilliant again!

Cincy Steak & Lemonade is down the block from Bogart's and across the street from the amazing Dive Bar (also work checking out). I love it and will be back for sure. It's just that awesome.

MMMMM..........Steak and Lemonade. What a wonderful combo. They have the classic steak and chicken Philly sandwiches. I usually get the steak philly with extra cheese add mushrooms and a watermelon lemonade. Their lemonade is lke the nectar of the gods, and what's better to have them bring it to our house???? Although delivery can be sporadic, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, it's so good and greasy and delicious it's worth it every time. The chicken and steak are spiced to perfection, the fries as well seem to have seasoned salt on them.. But I'd say the best part of Cincy Steak and Lemonade is the lemonade. I wish I could just order it. I greedily suck it down every time we order it, wishing for more. Maybe next time I'll order two lemonade and skip the meal !!!!

Wandered into this place on a whim. The guy behind the counter was exceptionally nice. The food was delicious!

I had the chicken gyro and my husband had the philly cheese steak sandwich. He said it was the best he'd ever had. The chicken gyro was awesome! The atmosphere is very casual with a NYC feel. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a decent lunch. Tip: Call ahead if you're on your lunch break to save time. It took a little bit of waiting for the order, but it was worth it.
