This place rocks on a Friday night when John opens up the karaoke at 9pm. Â The barmaids are smoking hot and friendly. Â The crowd is mixed among locals, out-of-towners from the hotels, airport and Fedex workers who are kicking off the 2nd shift. Â The food is ridiculously reasonable in price, good size portions, and well-prepared. Â Over a dozen screens with lots of games on (with one screen with CNN for good measure). Â It's karaoke, and there are at least 15 singers every night. Â Smoke-free with a deck for those who are still addicted.
Review Source:This is a great place. If you're looking for a pub to catch all the local sports action, this is it. There's a wide array of televisions visible from almost anywhere in the bar. It does get crowded during Eagles games, which can be a good thing. There's also outdoor seating available for you smokers. (cough, cough.) The crowd tends to be a bit older, mostly blue collar, which may be a good change for some people. There is karaoke and live music a few times a week. The staff is about the nicest you will find anywhere on the planet. The regulars are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Â There's a great jukebox that you can program from your phone. (My Touch Tunes.)
About the menu: The cheesesteak is one of the better ones I've had in the Philly area. American Cheese and grilled onions is the way to go. The burgers are okay. I wish they were grilled rather than cooked on the griddle top, but that's just me. Most of the appetizers are deep fried. The 'Quesadilla Rolls' are really good. They need a better bar pie (pizza) as well, fresh, not frozen. If they had some tex-mex or cajun options, this place would be heaven. All of the sandwiches on the menu are great.
