There's usually a seat at the bar even when it looks like the place is full. This is a good bet when you're in the international terminal at PHL. The Cibo wine bar in this terminal is really small and always packed (those Europeans, they like their wine), so this is a good spot to have a drink and a bite to eat with a little breathing room. Normally, Cibo is my go-to in other terminals, or better yet, in that little shopping area between terminals. That one has super comfy seats.
Anyways, this is a C&P's review, not Cibo :) They have an awesome draft list for an airport place; I got a Victory Hop Devil. Definitely go with the high ABV before a flight. I also munched on some crabby fries (man that cheese sauce is way too good!) and some buffalo chicken tenders that were pretty darn tasty. Nothing fancy, but they have something for everyone. Bartenders were friendly and a few people at the bar were really looking to party. It's a livelier scene than one usually finds in an airport.
I went back, this time I was hungrier. Â Had the Phili cheese steak and the crab fries. Â Both were good. Â Wasn't too busy and I found a nice place at the bar to have an extra beer and watch the news on TV. Â Don't worry too much if there is a crowd as the turnover is pretty quick.
Oh, there is also now more seating just across the way in an open air area across from the restaurant.
