It's so nice when a Delco restaurant gets it. Â
You don't always have to reinvent the wheel. Â You don't have to be special. Â You just have to be consistently good. Â
So many restaurants haven't figured that out. Â This is one of the ones that has. Â
I'll admit I hadn't been here for a while, but I recently had a hankering for it. Â I decided to go for takeout. Â Between the wife and I, we went for some Shrimp LeJohn, Clams Casino, Shrimp and Scallop Scampi for me, and Chicken Parmigana for her. Â
They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. Â It was all ready in 20 minutes when I got there packed and ready to go. Â
And let's just say that the portions are incredibly huge, but they got polished off without much fuss by us. Â
Heck, I thought I'd have leftovers. Â But halfway through my dish, I just said the heck with it. Â This is getting polished off right now. Â It was simple, and it was perfectly tasty. Â
This place is Ol' Reliable around these parts. Â I hope they never change.
This place is one of my new favorites. Â I first discovered it when I was 12 years old when my parents brought me here. Â I loved the food, but any 12 year old will love a plate of fried shrimp and fries. Â So, at 28 I was unsure if my 12 year old assessment was accurate. Â We gave it a try and were not let down.
I am a sucker for clams casino and have been making them for years around the holidays. Â My family raves about mine and I think they are good. Â I end up ordering them at every restaurant that offers them and am let down almost every time. Â This place has the best I have ever tried. Â If all the food sucked, which it doesn't, I'd come just for the clams casino. Â
My other favorites include:
Fried stuffed jumbo shrimp - jumbo shrimp stuffed w/ crab imperial and topped w/ crab sauce
Lobster ravioli - lobster stuffed rav served in a light tomato cream sauce and topped w/ jumbo lump crabmeat
Daily special - Filet in a marsala sauce (I think), sun dried tomatos, lump crab meat and a few other things I can' think of Â
The staff is great as they won't let your cup get past half full and are always stopping by to check and see if you need anything. Â The owner is there every night and really cares about this place and it shows in the food and service. Â I finally got the clams casino recipe out of him a few weeks ago and made it last night and they were awesome.
Loved this slightly, out-of-the way neighborhood spot. This was our first visit and we were both in the mood for seafood. The decor was nice and we sat upstairs along side a wonderful aquarium next to our table. They brought a nice basket of seeded bread to the table right away and the waitress was wonderful - attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. For dinner we each had a nice salad that acccompained our meals( crispy romaine lettuce, tomatoe and cucumbers). My dining companion had blackened tilapia that was fresh and  and fresh zucchini. I had the daily special of fresh sea bass on a bed of fresh spinich and tomatoes. It was very tasty. Overall we both enjoyed the experience and will return.Cost was $45 and that includes one soft drink.
