Review Source:Cheap prices=cheap quality of food. I've been coming here every since they've opened and I feel the quality has gone down.
If I'm every craving a slice of pizza this is the place to go. Just make sure to get a fresh slice not one that has been sitting out for a while.
I've tried the broasted chicken meal, cheese fries, and grilled chicken salad. The broasted chicken was very dry and the potatoes were flavorless. I do not recommend this at all. The fries are standard frozen fries and the cheese is watered down. If you want good cheese fries walk down a block to Bob O Rinos. The grilled chicken salad is just some iceberg lettuce (I HATE iceberg) with veggies and flavorless grilled chicken.
I say just come here for a cheap slice of pizza and thats about it.
Pretty good place for the money. Â The people are friendly and the price is good. Â My only complaint is that have rules about accepting credit cards from new customers for delivery and they won't substitute fries for their awful broasted potatoes. Â Their policies seems to indicate they don't want my business, but it's tasty and friendly so I go back. Whatever you do, I don't recommend eating there. Â The tables are sticky and the static coming from the radio gives me a headache.
Review Source:I've been a most satisfied customer of Cochiaro's Pizza for over 12 years now. Â Like any small business, there's peak hours, slow hours and "off days," but the service is always focused and sincere, and the food is made exclusively for comfort, convenience and a limited budget....
It's not "fine dining," but you aren't being asked to pay for that either.. Â Just great, friendly, clean surroundings and food that hits that special need....
I stopped in because I needed a little something in my stomach before dinner a few hours later. Â I opted for the Polish sausage with fries after looking at the pizza slices which looked like they had been sitting in the warmer for too long. Â The polish sausage was pretty dried out and did not taste all that great, I will give them credit for snappy natural casings. Â The place smelled like over used frying oil, I think I smelled like grease when I left, pretty gross. Â The fries were standard medium thickness frozen... Â They tasted of oil past it's prime. Â I don't think I'll bother with Cochiaro's again. Â I do like Broasted Chicken, but If I need to get a fix I'll go to Broasted Chicken Royal instead.
Review Source:The Friday Night Girls' Club decided on a whim to order broasted chicken from Cochiario's, mostly because none of us had had any in years.  And I have to say I wasn't disappointed.  It was good broasted chicken.  The garlic  bread sucked, and the broasted potatoes were sort of meh.  Coleslaw was good, if pretty standard.  Food arrived hot, cans of pop cold, and all in good time at a reasonable price.  Given all that I know we'll try it again, perhaps for Italian beef or pizza puffs (The work of the devil, but SO good.)  just because you really need a reliable place for cheap food that contains only a modicum of nourishment.
Review Source:Someone I know is in Resurrection Hospital across the street from here. I opted to visit here one evening.
I had its italian beef sandwich ($4.60). Hot or sweet peppers are an extra 30¢. I thought I requested the hot peppers. I did not get them. I was not charged for them either.
So I wound up with a wet italian beef. I think it is mostly ok. It's a thicker cut than other italian beef stands. The sandwich is cut in half and separately wrapped. I (and You) will have problems with beef falling out of the sandwich. Without peppers, there is only a faint flavor of italian seasoning (oregano?), and it is neither fiery nor 'hot'.
French fries are included with the sandwich; and it is just as well. They are dreadful. They had the constituency of institutional frozen fries. They disintegrated when chomped. Many varieties of Pringles® have more potato flavor than these.
I'm giving here a three-star rating because I suspect that the sandwich, dinners, and pasta side of the menu (although Tom Z. liked the panini) is "second fiddle" to the pizzas.
Transit options: The #152 Addison bus ceases running westbound at 9:45, 7:10, & 7:20 pm on weekdays, Saturday, & Sunday, respectively. But the last buses will run to Central. (That is their way to | from the Forest Glen Garage.) When the north side b**eball team has a home game that day, there will be extra service supplied by the North Park Garage, consisting of the _long_, articulated buses. [The #152, and the #85, are on the CTA BustRacker system.] [The articulated buses will have numbers in the 7571-7640 range.] Eastbound buses cease at 10:40, 8:20, & 8:10 pm.
The #85 Central runs southbound from here until 1:15 am; northbound until 2:00 am.
Cochiaro's is fast, friendly, and inexpensive. Â They've been here a few years and've become popular, but you shouldn't have to wait very long at all. Â Order from a long menu, have a seat and they'll call your order out when ready.
I like their stuffed pizza myself, and believe me I know pizza in Chicago!
Would've given them a full 5-star, but remember a price disagreement some time back. Â I'm the type that notices and quibbles about almost everything though, so the blame may be half mine own.
Plan to return to Cochiaro's myself in a couple days I think, so maybe see you there. Â Enjoy!
Cheapest pizza slices around, very cheap and filling. Â Something like $1.25+ for thin crust, $2.25+ for pan or stuffed.
If you are lactose intolerant, I advise to stay away from the pan pizza and stuffed. Â More cheesy and a different cheese than the thin. Â I felt terrible afterwards. Â Like a faucet, if you get my meaning.
Brownie's are freshly made. Â They are gross. Â I could pick up a box of brownie mix and do a better job at home. I wondered, if they couldn't get the brownie right, how well could any meal that needs baking be?
The brownie was clumpy, hard in some spots, soft in others, and the glaze was burnt. Â One bite was too much.
Prices aren't expensive. Â I saw an advertisement for rib tips w/salad and french bread for $3.50. Â That's a steal. Â I might return to try the tips or a panini. Â Never any pizza slices, again.
