Locally owned coffee shop/cafe in Portland. You've said enough...count me a fan!
This shop apparently opened up in late 2012 and while I probably won't become a regular anytime before moving to Portland, I definitely appreciate this spot for what it is. It's a nice comfy and cozy coffee haven in an area where few other Yelp bursts pop up.
The coffee is not your locally roasted, fair trade stuff you'll find elsewhere in town but it's not bad tasting coffee by any means. Plus it's strong, refillable and less than $2! I've yet to try any of the food besides the complimentary popcorn the servers bring to your table, but my friend who lives in the neighborhood has said good things about it.
Everyone's really friendly and even though it's sit down service we definitely felt welcomed to stay and do work on laptops while sipping coffee for several hours. Another group was there doing the same thing.
Not only is this place a cafe/ coffee shop, it's also got a bunch of typical convenience store items and random knick knacks for sale. I remember eying some mini boxes of cereal.
