This is a good addition to the Vogue area of St Matthews. Â
While Boom Bozz and Bearno's are well-known names for great pizza in Louisville, DiOrio's is another place that hit the spot for me when I visited recently. Â Maybe it was just the amazing pesto and pepperoni pizza I decided on, or maybe it was the great company I was in, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time at DiOrio's. Â Not too crowded, not too loud, and a thickness of pizza crust that hit the spot and was thin without being crackly. Â
I'd go back again, and if you get a hankering for pizza before you head to Gerstle's for an evening, see if DiOrio's can hit the spot for you too!
I was at getting an oil change done nearby when I thought I'd get carryout from Di Orio's. The girl at the bar who takes To-Go orders was friendly and gave me recommendations. I decided to order the Spicy Vic's Pepperoni Pesto Pizza - truly delicious pizza albeit a bit greasy. The crust was thin and crispy and the flavor was great!! I'll definitely go back to Di Orio's.
Review Source:Friendly & fast staff. Order the pizza by the slice for a perfectly thin crust, just right amount of sauce & toppings....tastes as fresh and authentic as pizza I had in Italy. Great service every time we have been, which averages to twice a month. Good rotating beer taps for those who prefer something other than domestic. BEST PIZZA IN LOUISVILLE!
Don't go here if you want some hum drum run of the mill "chain style" pizza. You won't appreciate it's quality.
Not really. Â 3 stars, but 2 1/2 or 2 for the pizza. Â The pizza was sooooo soggy that we had to eat it with a knife and fork . . . and then the toppings wouldn't stay on the dough! Â The toppings did taste fresh, but the sogginess dictates the stars. Â We also ordered a couple of sandwhiches. Â I was really excited to try the philly cheese steak bc it was offered with the traditional cheese wiz option . . . but they forgot the cheese wiz on my take-out order! Â Grrrrr. . . . Â I don't think we will be ordering again from this place.
Review Source:Best new pizza place in town. We have a lot of options for pizza and this one definitely stands out. A good pizza starts with the crust and they have an excellent crust. Â I would like to see some different apps given that the pizza is so good a few unique apps would give me more reasons to go back. How about adding meatballs as an app? I was so excited to order D's Fried Balls thinking it was fried meatballs, but it was fried dough instead. They were good but would rather have meatballs and I was intrigued by possibly frying them. This place will be around a long time and is unofficially the new place to watch the Packers.
Review Source:The service is horrible. Â We came in after a sporting event and other customers that came in after us received their food and drinks well before us. Â What should of taken 20 or so minutes to get ended up being an hour. Â Once we did get most of our food, they forget one of the orders. Â The food was good, once we finally got it, but not good enough to suffer through the poor service. Â The pizza was one of the biggest I have ever seen.
