The place is coming back to life after a long hiatus.  Saturday nights features rotating Hip Hop and R/B DJ's in the mix.  PamTheFunktress, bay area hip hop DJ is there every other Saturday along with DJ Roy, Classic Soul and Ol Skool DJ who has everything in the mix, good selection.  Be ready to dance.

    Great dive bar for Karaoke.

Friendly regulars, excellent karaoke host (James), lots of opportunities to sing, cheap drinks.

Guido's!!! Had a great time...total dive bar but all the regulars are super nice. Plus the blond bartender is hilarious and friendly.  We weren't there on karaoke night so it was a good place to sit and chat.  Juke box had good music, cheap beers!

As of 4/22/11:  Yay!  James is back as Karaoke Host at Guido's on Friday nights.  Now, you know where you are going to be at the Mic every Friday night!

This, along with their gorgeous new pool table, rates Guido's a solid five stars.  Will I see you there next Friday?  I hope so!

Dive bar with ample parking.  This place looks like it's been here a while, but it's suitable for the area and clientele.  Definitely a casual place, you'd look weird if you showed up in a dress and high heels.

I've been here a couple times and have never had any problems.  I like the selection of music on the juke box.  I've never been here for karaoke night, but I hate karaoke as it is.  I've experienced two different bartenders here, both were friendly and made my drinks just fine.  Of course, I ordered vodka tonics and beer, so I wouldn't know of their prowess at mixing more complex cocktails.

Bars are more about who you're there with than the bar itself.  So for people who say they dislike this place because it's full of white trash, maybe it is, but it doesn't bug me because everyone seems to mind their own business.

    Bathrooms are clean.

After discovering that Schellys was closed, my friend suggested we take the short drive down the street to this bar. He mentioned his last experience being something along the lines of when the record screeching to halt as you enter. He was right on the money, we were extremely out-of-place and all eyes were on us.

Overpriced drinks matched with an incompetent bartender, sprinkled with terrible karaoke, and then butt f*cked with white trash; this place made me feel miserable. I looked forward to the next bar where I could drink away the memories of this filthy dive.

We quickly chugged our drinks as to escape the overweight trashy women murder every Journey song they tried. Imagine two cats fighting.

This is the perfect place to enjoy the company of people you never want to become.

What do the Buzzcocks, Journey, Motley Crue, and GWAR have in common? Put some quarters in Guido's jukebox and find out.

This is a dive bar that is still really a dive. It's the type of bar I used to frequent during my teenage years armed with my fake ID, because once I was a regular I just didn't need it anymore.

The bartender was friendly and most of the patrons were too. It also makes a nice place to wet yer whistle before you head over to Porky's Pizza. Oinkoink!

Karaoke is not as good as it used to be. Great female bartenders on Wednesday,  Thursday and Friday. Drinks are a bit over priced for the size. Tell Jenny and Rebecca that Craig "Unsober Man" says HI!!

I don't want to completely bash this place but this is no place to have an event or impress anyone. It's a great place to meet up with local friends to crash for some beers. I enjoyed the friendly mix of dive bar regulars.

The junkiest most pathetic excuse for a bar in the bay area. The only thing that made it worth going there was Karaoke but since the Owner got rid of the one's they had (Saint, Big John, and Joel) they got some rinky dink Karaoke DJ in there who has no selection and his set up is akin to a couple of cans and string.

The bartenders are rude and have no idea how to make a drink or what to charge for it. I will never go to this bar again

    Guido's is:
    Dive Bar (+1)
Festive - they celebrate every holiday beautifully (+1)
    Free Popcorn (+1)
    Cheap drinks (+1)
    Friendly staff (+1)
    Friendly old patrons (+1)
    Not-so friendly young patrons (-1)
Pool table (-1 less room to sit down)
    Nachos (sometimes)
    Karaoke (+1 million)
Minimal tables- at the most four tables (-1)
    Gated fenced off patio
    Parking (+1)

For the diviest bar around you don't get much better than Guido's. The Karaoke on the weekends is so much fun, there is a huge song book to choose from so there's something for everyone. The bartender is nice and the drinks are pretty cheap.
There are the regulars that are mostly there to play pool and other locals make it feel like a real authentic dive bar.
*Request James (the KJ) to sing Prince. You won't be sorry*

    Review #222 goes like this:

So on a random night to go to find a depressing dive bar, my friends and I thought this was a gay bar because of the name.

Apparently its just another dive bar.

My friends and I left after 5 minutes because apparently dive bars are a lot more dead and depressing than I thought.

Crowd was the typical kind of people you'd see at a dive bar anyway.

in the distant past, this spot hosted a bar and hof brau. guess the hof brau is long gone. the bar here is directly to the right of you as you enter. because the light is dim, you will bump into a protruding table on the left as you manuever in to get a seat at the bar. all the seats are taken. only two drafts- bud and hsw-something (3.25), a pyarmid product i believe.

the draft beer didn't stay cold. there's also a pool table here. this drinkery is badly designed.  it's very congested and cramped at the bar. this is an older crowd.

also had a level one vodka (7.50) no reason to return.

We went for Saturday night karaoke.

It's dark and old and looks like a steakhouse gone dive bar.
    The drinks were fairly cheap.
    The patrons consisted of:
    -middle aged bikers
-regulars that were so regular, they don't even bother with a little bit of gussy-ing up
    -loner drunks
-crazy young guys that are loud and drunk
-a few quiet women that sat nicely and watched the goings on
-drunk pool players that looked like they'd used the pool cues for ass kicking as extras in a bar fight movie.

No fights while we were there, YAY!

OMG...I went back to this place after six years and it doesn't look much different except for the locking gate in front. That must be to keep the animals inside in case of one of the many brawls. A dive bar par excellence, but last night when ping pong wasn't enough at Schelly's my friend and neighbor insisted that I take her here.

We actually walked down the several blocks from Schelly's and not long after we arrived, many of the other folks at Schelley's came too. Not that I am the Pied Piper, but they were having karaoke and at least singing can sometimes soothe the savage beast. Nobody but the KJ was singing when we got there, but by 12:30, people had warmed up a bit.

So except for the guy with the broken nose from the fight happening when we arrived, we left Guido's unscathed. Oh, and they have a pool table still (one), which Schelly's does not.
