Hatfield's Tavern

Hey look, it's another dive bar/hole in the wall in South City.  How novel!  How original!  How much do we need to have this bar in this neighborhood?

Ok, so it's like many of the other dive bars in the neighborhood.  The place is small, it is often filled with older men sucking down Budweisers, and there's not much ambiance.  It also closes early, which bums me out.  

But I don't think Hatfield's is trying to be anything special.  It just wants to be it's own, smoky, small, neighborhood bar.  The bartender is always friendly, the beer choices are not vast but they are cheap and cold and as soon as you drain one the bartender is waiting with another bottle to quench your thirst, and it seems to be happy being this way.

So no, it's not original, or unique to the neighborhood, but that doesn't mean it's a bad bar.  It's just what it is, a neighborhood bar that wants to remain that way.
