    Wow! Talk about everything spicey!!!!!

This is northern China food, so don't expect to get the Chinese food you would normally in Chinatown. Almost every dish was spicey!! They speak English, but no Cantonese. They do speak Mandarin, since it's more of a Mandarin/Taiwanese owned restaurant.

There were 8 of us, and all 8 of us ordered a dish to share family style. My favorite was the stir fried fish fillet in black bean sauce. This one wasn't too spicey but it was really good. The only two dishes we ordered that didnt come out spicey was the pea tips and orange chicken. The spiciest entree we ordered was the iron pot beef brisket.. Boy it was a pot of hot juices all over!

I liked the food, but felt it was really greasy. My stomach and heart didn't feel so well the next day. Probably won't come back to eat so heavy next time.

I usually eat southern Chinese food and decided to eat here for a change - northern Chinese food.  I was pleasantly surprised.  The spicy dishes were good.  Although I had a little bit of trouble communicating with the servers, they were all friendly.  I would definitely come back here if I feel like spicy Chinese food.

Had a big group and a big carry out order, so I can't say I'd give it 5 stars, but that may not be their fault as we had it sitting on our table for a while before we dug in.

    But!

Let me tell you how bored I am of the standard Chinatown fare. It's all Hong Kong food, from Southern China. All the same pretty much. Only recently has there been some progress made in trying to introduce some Northern China cuisine, so I'm really happy to find out that this place, formerly known as 123 Express has been bought out by some Mandarin speaking (and mind you, they really only speak mandarin, so you'd better be prepared to know what you want if you don't speak it) northern Chinese.

I recommend the "beef roll" and the "smoked pork roll" off the dim sum menu for some classics. Northern Chinese are known for their use of lamb and cumin in dishes, so definitely try the "Stir Fried Cumin Flavor Lamb with Bone"--real tasty. Anything with their generic sounding "brown special sauce" is just a common northern style of braising things in a delicious sauce.

You can try their "Stir Fried Sliced Potato with Pepper" for something you definitely won't have tried elsewhere--a very signature northern Chinese dish, vinegar-y and all that.

I didn't personally try to get their stewed dishes in the iron pot to go, obviously, but I'll definitely go back to try that. Also, if you've never had the northern Chinese beef noodle soup (dim sum menu), that's certainly something you should experience.

    I'll be back for more!
