A friend of mine invited me to check out her salsa performance here at this venue. She emailed me all the information and a link to the venue's website for directions & location.

I clicked on it. WHAT HAPPENED AFTER???? Oh Jesus Christ of Laturday Saints, it turned out to be a gay porn site. WTF?!?! I was at work too!!
Thanks a lot Favi for sending me a porn link at work. =/
All jokes aside (even though this was a true story), the Hot House is a nice venue. Quaint, comfortable and hidden. Other than my friend's performance, I also saw play at this venue that my cousin was in. This establishment proves to be a great spot to hold urban-esque performances. Hot House, I would log onto your website again....UHHHH...WAIT...UH...I mean...no I won't.
I've been going to HotHouse events for several years now, ever since I moved to Chicago, and I think that this is a GREAT organization to have in the city!
If you are into music and learning about different cultures and HAVING FUN, then you should definitely check out a HotHouse event!
I do miss the old location on Balbo, since it was such a great venue, and I had such a fun night there, at a African/Caribbean music event. I went to see a Mexican and Spanish guitar show at the Viaduct. While I agree that the location isn't the greatest, the show was really amazing! If you have never seen flamenco in person, you are missing out! Talk about passion!
I never made it to the dinner and show package at Las Tablas, but I heard that they were GREAT! I also intend to catch any of the Brasilian shows that come up this year! Samba is so much fun!
The crowds at these shows are also a nice eclectic mix of people. If you are sick of the Lincoln Park Trixie/Douchebag scene, go to a HotHouse event, it's guaranteed to be an interesting group of people!
If Dorota G is right about the upcoming events being at the Morse Theater, then I am VERY excited! Â The renovation looks beautiful!
HotHouse is a nonprofit organization, and if you care at all about supporting the arts, I encourage you to check out a HotHouse event.
