The amount (and quality) of food I got for the price is.... well, unbelievable.
See the pictures - those cinnamon rolls are SIDES. Not a meal - A SIDE. And you don't just get one side with your meal, but two....
One mean could easily be shared by two people - or you'll have plenty of leftovers for later.
Normally I steer clear of cinnamon rolls but Ann Sather cinnamon rolls are one of a kind. Gooey frosting and cinnamon with every bite.
It's beyond packed in here on a Sunday morning around 10am and there isn't really adequate space to stand around and wait for a seat, so come early or late.
OH MY GOSH. Â I had one of the best breakfasts of my life this morning. Â This was my first visit to Ann Sather, and I left very satisfied. Â The diner was packed - we had to wait about 10 minutes to be sat. Â While we waited I stared at all of the delicious-looking food coming out of the kitchen. Â The pancakes, omelets, and French toast looked amazing. Â
I was incredibly satisfied with what I ordered: Southern Decadence. Â Two flaky, buttery biscuits topped with homemade sausage patties, poached eggs, and creamy sausage gravy. Â It was absolutely perfect... perfectly seasoned. Â A touch more salt and it would've been too salty. Â The poached eggs were executed perfectly as well. Â Not an easy task to do. Â The meal was served with my choice of two sides. Â I ordered the cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit. Â I took the cinnamon rolls home because there was no way I could eat all of that food. Â The fruit was good. Â I liked that there was a variety of kiwi, cantaloupe, blueberries, strawberries, honeydew, and apple.
My handsome date had the Swedish waffles drizzled in syrup. Â They were scrumptious and cute (they were heart-shaped). Â They're thinner waffles - not Belgian style. Â Obviously. Â Belgian waffles in a Swedish diner? Â I don't think so.
